Saying "I am a [team name] fan" is little more than a ploy to get Team X interested in them during the transfer season (where it seems to occur the most often) and raise their asking price. Unless you're currently a free agent, it's also a measure of disrespect to your current employer.

Thiago Silva and Aly Cissokho [should he pass his medical] are both highly rated, under 25, and first team ready. They should help reinvigorate the defence, although another centre-back wouldn’t go amiss.
The most intriguing aspect of the Rossoneri’s sound new strategy though is their decision not to recruit a direct replacement for Kaka. Instead they have pursued Wolfsburg’s Edin Dzeko.
Those among you who don’t see or don’t rate the Bundesliga may doubt the 23-year-old’s value, but having watched the big Bosnian lead his side to their first German title I’m willing to bet he could easily become as iconic as Ricky was. Gifted with brute force, finesse and a ravenous apetite for goals, Dzeko is like Amauri on steroids.
The dual purpose of this decision is to release the real Ronaldinho. Ronnie hasn’t been himself for at least two years. Nonetheless such a supreme talent can’t simply vanish from a man. Even at the peak of his powers the bucktooth Brazilian and Kaka never really gelled together. With the No 22 gone Ronaldinho can begin to dictate Milan’s attacks, and who better to return him to his former stature than compatriot Leonardo?

Reports suggest the Rossoneri are hoping to bag a 20 percent discount and pay €12million for Cissokho rather than €15m, which was the original agreement. New details emerging are claiming the Italians now want to take the player on an initial one-year loan with the option to buy him permanently next year, but Porto do not seem interested, and it is here where the deal could ultimately collapse.

Either Porto Accept New Offer For Cissokho Or We Will Scrap Deal - Milan's Galliani
Milan vice president Adriano Galliani has warned that the deal for Cissokho could go up in smoke...
The Italian chief has spoken to Sky Sport Italia over the move for Cissokho. It seems both clubs cannot agree on a deal and he has threatened to pull out of it.
"If Porto do not accept then we will have to give up on the player," Galliani said.
"At the moment the deal is more a no than a yes."
Reports suggest the Rossoneri are hoping to bag a 20 percent discount and pay €12million for Cissokho rather than €15m, which was the original agreement. New details emerging are claiming the Italians now want to take the player on an initial one-year loan with the option to buy him permanently next year, but Porto do not seem interested, and it is here where the deal could ultimately collapse.
Galliani also spoke about his other targets including Edin Dzeko, as well as his own stars including Alexandre Pato who has been linked with an exit.
"Wolfsburg said he [Dzeko] was not for sale but there seems to be an opening at the moment," added Galliani.
"Pato is staying 100 percent. The others? [Gattuso, Pirlo and Seedorf] are staying 99 percent."

I think it's only right that we make these demands. First of all if the player does infact have the health problems he's claimed to have then he is not worth that much abnd should be in fact taken on a trail bases, secondly Porto paid something like 300k for him just a short couple of months ago. No way is he worth 15million over a couple of good performances, no one's price tag escaltes that much, it's ridiculous.
Imo Galliani has done the right thing here

I think his goal to game ratio is pretty amazing for a natural striker playing on the wing. And he did win the Bundesliga player of the season...
I've never really seen him play, except for when we played Wolfsburg in the UEFA Cup but I didn't really have my eye on him back then...

However, his transfer to the Italian champions had been put on hold after his first medical with Milan revealed dental problems.
Cissokho told the Portuguese press late on Wednesday he was set to sign for Milan following a second medical exam which showed the problem with his teeth could be easily fixed.
Porto have now confirmed that AC Milan have decided to call the deal off as the player failed to meet the Italian club medical department's demands.
A statement issued by Porto to the Portuguese stock market read, "Porto would like to inform the market that the agreement in principle with AC Milan for the transfer of Aly Cissokho is of no effect anymore, since the athlete could not meet the demands of the medical department of AC Milan."

Yea they almost destroid Nesta (wanted to retaire), and Kaka (case with Brasilian National TEAM)...
Any way im sorry coes Cissokho coes he seams like good player, i watched few games and i didn't see any problems.
May be Milan want to make new Movie with Cissokho (remember movie Goal with Newcastle player Munez)

Milan's always been known for having a rather stringent medical. I don't know what to think. I was already digging up info on this guy. Trying to get a better picture. Already considered him a Milan player.

It's not going to happen and I doubt it's ever happened before (in modern football history at least where, unlike in the past, the top teams remain the same).

Its a shame that this Cissoko deal fell through but he was relitively unproven and i would prefer an Italian. I say go for Deportivo's Felipe (Brazil) or try and get De Ceglie from Juve. What do you guys/gals think of dossena? I thought he was class when he played on Udine t'was a shame he left Italy but I heard he had a poor season in England so do we go for him?

Fulham were in the 2nd division when he signed, Birmingham a league higher. So yes, he did choose to play for a lower quality team.
I think the team has so many needs at the moment it's silly. Our keeper position is about the only one not in any real need of additions!
