It seems we have reached an agreement for our young defender Astori. He will stay at Cagaliari.
Also it seems that Palsochi will be staying at Parma as they complete his full purchase. There is news that we have set predetermined figures, which we can sign him at in the future.

AC Milan's Galliani Denies Cassano Interest, Bemoans Italy's Tax System
After admitting that AC Milan may drop their interest in Wolfsburg star Edin Dzeko after having their initial bid turned down, the Italian press have indicated that the Serie A giants could go after Sampdoria striker Antonio Cassano.
However, vice-president Adriano Galliani does not believe that type of player is required at the club.
"When he was at Real Madrid we thought about this idea, but then rejected it," he informed Milannews.it.
"Above all we need some more power and weight up front, because we already have that [playmaker] role covered with Ronaldinho."
With Cristiano Ronaldo on the verge of joining Real Madrid, Galliani commented on the Primera Division outfit's free-spending ways, as they already purchased Kaka from the Rossoneri earlier this week.
"I repeat this is all a matter of different types of taxation. If we were a Spanish club, we would have saved €40 million."
Ohh only if i had a dollar for everytime this guy talks about the tax system.....

Brazil Coach Carlos Dunga: Sao Paulo Ace Hernanes Is The Right Man For Milan
Brazilian star Kaka left Milan for Real Madrid for €67.2 million on Monday and Selecao boss Carlos Dunga believes the decision to part with the 27-year-old might come back to haunt the Diavoli, although he has tipped Hernanes as a man that could soften the blow of losing the former Ballon d'Or holder.
“It’s a big blow,” the tactician said to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“’Ricky’ guaranteed the Rossoneri the change of tempo that is fundamental for a top side. You cannot replace a Kaka and you often end up missing him.”
Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has insisted that Ronaldinho will play a crucial role under new coach Leonardo. Meanwhile, the Via Turati directors are reportedly pursuing Sao Paulo duo Miranda and Hernanes to bolster the squad.
“I hope that Leonardo will play Ronaldinho more regularly,” mused Dunga.
“In the last year, he had become a bit gloomy. But he will be a star in South Africa.
“As for Miranda, he is a great defender, powerful and fast. But I have a soft spot for Hernanes. He has [Gennaro] Gattuso’s grit and [Andrea] Pirlo’s feet. They should sign him immediately.”
Milan have been monitoring Hernanes’ progress for several months and his valuation is estimated at around €8m.

Report: Real Madrid To Open Maicon Talks With Inter
The Real Madrid shopping spree is gaining further momentum and president Florentino Perez is now set to zoom in on Inter defensive star Maicon after los Blancos agreed a world record transfer fee for Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo yesterday.
Two days ago, Inter patron Massimo Moratti admitted that any player could leave the club for the right price, as if to invite bids for want-away duo Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Maicon.
The Swedish striker has been openly flirting with European champions Barcelona since the end of the season. Meanwhile, the Brazilian right-back has voiced his frustration at being “neglected” by the Nerazzurri this week, opening the door on a move away from San Siro.
According to reports in Tuttosport, Real Madrid are prepared to meet Inter’s valuation of €40 million for the 27-year-old by offering €17m in cash plus the services of Dutch international Wesley Sneijder, whose value is estimated to be in the region of €25m.
A Merengues delegation is expected to travel to Italy’s fashion capital today to hold an initial meeting with the Nerazzurri at club headquarters.
This is getting f***** ridiculous. Platini has to put an end to this. This will have such a bad effect on the market its not even funny. Oh the inflation, no wonder wolfsburg want 30 million for dzeko.

Agreed. I never thought he was as a terribly bad defender as some seem to think. I think he'd be an improvement over Senderos, Kaladze and perhaps Bonera.
This I would agree with...
Just that he certainly won't be my first choice for a starting place as in my opinion he has seriously diminished since his Chelsea days.

I don't see how we're covered there. The only real quality I see in that midfield are Pirlo, Flamini, Rino and maybe Dinho. It's high time we replace Seedorf and Ambro. I'm still p!ssed off we didn't get Sneijder in that Kaka deal. Hernanes is a great player imo, but he's non EU so it's a bit of a dilemma on who to get when there is a great potential like Dzeko practically begging us to buy him.
I don't think Sneijder is out of the question, Perez and Galliani seem to be on good terms and after selling them Kaka, I don't think he would resist our efforsts so much. I think Sneijder would be a shoe in for Seedorf's position.
If Napoli really want Ambro we should try and get Hamsik in return, our midfield was once the best out there but now the drop in quality has been massive. Getting Hamsik or Sneijder and maybe another top class defensive midfilder is what will make it complete. What's happened to Veloso btw? We were linked with him in the past and from what I've heard and seen of him he's real quality

Blog: Real players for sale
With Cristiano Ronaldo heading to Madrid for a word record £80m, Serafino Ingardia believes there will be some real bargains to be had
The Galacticos are back and what a pleasure it is to witness the return of the crazy spending outfit on the football landscape. After already spending big on Kaka, Real Madrid have managed to throw even more cash at Cristiano Ronaldo to bring him to the Bernabeu. They will form, without doubt, the most exciting duo on the planet.
However, can you imagine how satisfactory it will be to see them fail in Europe yet again? Because while the Blancos are bringing in big names, they will have to let some others go. And this is a side which is still seriously lacking that kind of strength which turns a bunch of stars into a fantastic team – and football is, after all, still a team game.
Several Blancos could easily go on to the shopping list of Italian clubs and, considering how quickly they turn out of fashion in Madrid, their transfer tags should be relatively affordable. Aren’t the Merengues looking to partially cover for the arrivals of Kaka, Ronaldo and maybe David Villa? Then they will be forced to sell…
I am talking of players such as Rafael Van Der Vaart, Wesley Sneijder and Royston Drenthe. This Dutch trio could come in handy in Serie A. They cannot be regarded as second choices if you take into account their hefty Real transfer fees.
Juve were after VdV not too long ago and he would still make a good addition if he were to come for less than £10m. Drenthe is an exploding talent only restrained by his wild temper. The latter would reincarnate Edgar Davids in that Bianconeri shirt.
Then there is Sneijder, one of the most intelligent midfielders in the world. He hasn’t got too much to envy the likes of Andres Iniesta and Andrea Pirlo as his masterpiece performance against Italy at Euro 2008 clearly proved. Wesley would be a good pick for both Milan and Inter.
But these three men are not the only options though, think about Ruud Van Nisterlooy – wouldn’t he be good for Roma? How much can Real ask for? Not too much and the same goes for Mahamadou Diarra and Gonzalo Higuain.
So let the Galacticos continue to shop, while we – Italian football – can benefit from their leftovers.

Milan Sign Edin Dzeko - Report
The Rossoneri have a signature on a pre-agreement. The next step is to convince Wolfsburg...
12 Jun 2009 13:31:29
Milan target Edin Dzeko has signed for the club, but fans will have to wait as it is only a pre-agreement, according to Sky Sports Italia.
The Italian news station claims the Bosnian hitman has put pen to a pre-agreement which will give the Italians first choice. Milan now have to convince the Germans of parting company with their man.
The pre-contract is based on an eventual agreement between Milan and Wolfsburg. So far, the Bundesliga outfit have claimed their man was not for sale, but Dzeko's decision to sign for Milan is likely to put the pressure on the Germans.
According to reports, Milan will try their luck again and a meeting with Wolfsburg directors is scheduled for next week. Voices claim the Italians will raise the stakes in terms of an offer.
It suggested the German side wants €30million for their man, but the Rossoneri are only willing to stretch to €20m. The player's apparent will to join Milan is in the club's favour.

Berlusconi Will Not Spend Huge Amounts For Milan Anymore - Sacchi
The sale of Kaka to Real Madrid reportedly balanced the books for AC Milan and former coach of the club, Arrigo Sacchi, believes that president Silvio Berlusconi will no longer invest as heavily as he did in the past.
"[Carlo] Ancelotti and Kaka are two major losses, but necessary ones," the ex-Real Madrid director said in an interview with Sportitalia.
"Berlusconi is no longer willing to shell out mass money for Milan, the club must move forward on their own accord. In the past, Milan was a leader in innovation and expertise, now they have bought few players that have been below par."
Meanwhile, he was asked who else he thought could leave the Rossoneri this summer, but gave no definite answers.
"[Andrea] Pirlo maybe, but I think [Gennaro] Gattuso will remain."
On the other side of the coin, Milan have reportedly agreed a pre-contract with Edin Dzeko and are now attempting to negotiate an acceptable deal with his club, German champions Wolfsburg.
Why some people still want this ***** to be our president, I have no clue...

The day he leaves I will pop out champaigne and celebrate. He has disgraced milan's name far too much now. We go from greatest club in the world to a soul less money hungry mid table club.

In an interview with Italian TV station Sportitalia, football journalist, transfer market insider and former AC Milan coach Arrigo Sacchi said today : "AC Milan have turned the page. Their owner Silvio Berlusconi is no longer willing to invest his own money in the club. Therefore, the club's new policy is to sell their players to keep going. In this regard, I believe that Andrea Pirlo will be sold to the highest bidder".
As recently reported, Chelsea are leading the chase to sign Andrea Pirlo upon coach Carlo Ancelotti's advice. However, other top clubs could begin tracking the Italian international soon.
I agree with him, I think Pirlo is going to leave.

I have nothing against Berlusconi really, except the fact that he doesn't invest in the club as much as he once did.
What ever the reason behind this may be, I do not know...the recession; change of tactics in his management & ownership of the club; diminished interest [a combination]
I just can not understand why some people try to be blind to the entire situation. Its been there plain in sight for us all to see for some time now. No one is trying to down play any of what Berlusconi has done for this club, heck he has in fact brought it to what it has become today [From near bankruptcy to pure Greatness] - No one is denying that.
And as great as our history is, no one can deny either the fact that if the club was invested in slightly differently in recent years we may have been in an even better situation now. FACT!

If we're going for a direct Kaka replacement, then there's only one player available that can be that, and that's Cassano. Cassano has just had an incredible season, he's just hitting his peak. Right now I'd rate him up there with Ribery and I honostly think that he's even better than Kaka right now (because of Kaka's injruy's mostly). The thing is that he might be to much of a risk because of his personality.
Also, I don't think that we're are even looking for a direct replacement for Kaka. After the sale of Kaka and the retirement of Maldini, Ronaldinho is by far the player with the biggest commerical appeal at Milan. The thing is that a club like Milan needs a front figure, someone who can bring in the fans and be the face of the club. Ronaldinho is one of the most well known figures in football, and if he can once again, become a great player, then we will have made a great deal, a much great deal than if we bring in Cassano who will never have the commercial appeal of Ronaldinho.

Gennaro Gattuso Approves Milan’s Attempt To Sign Edin Dzeko From Wolfsburg
Milan and Italy midfielder Gennaro Gattuso has given a thumbs up to the possible purchase of Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko.
Gattuso believes that Dzeko is a type of player who the Rossoneri need, following the departure of Kaka to Real Madrid earlier in the week.
"Dzeko is an important player who we would need for the qualities he has," explained the Milan veteran player to Calciomercato.com.
"He's a strong player, just like [Milan striker Marco] Borriello, even though at Wolfsburg he played on the wing."
Recently it has been speculated that Paolo Maldini could join Chelsea as Carlo Ancelotti's assistant coach, something which Gattuso finds hard to believe.
"Knowing Maldini, I think it's very difficult that he will leave Milan," he continued. "I really don't see him doing that."
The Rossoneri are expected to remain in the transfer market headlines in the coming weeks as they continue trying to strengthenthe squad following Kaka's exit.

They are not sure why he's in Paris, they're speculating that it's either for Pirlo (making a deal with Chelsea) or Dzeko and Cissokho. Let's wait and see I hope it's the latter of the 2 options, selling Pirlo now would be beyond ridiculous. After selling our best player we're going to sell the player we rely on the most??? Regarding the Boriello/Dzeko swap. I would be all for it. Boriello, just like I thought was a waste of money. He's injured 99% of the time, we don't even know if he's good enough to rely on. So I say we try to hand over that problem to Wolfsburg and get Dzeko for a cheaper price. We'd still need another striker though, we'd basically be left with Pato and Dzeko if this goes through. Sao Paolo: 'Milan are broke!'
Sao Paolo are sarcastic on Milan's chances of signing Miranda and Hernanes. “Everyone knows they're broke.”
The Rossoneri have been linked with both Brazilian talents, but the rumoured offer of £20m for the pair is seen as insulting.
“Let's wait a minute,” joked technical director Joao Paulo de Jesus Lopes on Globoesporte.
“I need to find out how much a crate of bananas is worth, as that is how much they want to give us for both players.
“We know that Milan ended the season in the red and not even the £60m from Kaka's sale to Real Madrid was enough to balance the books.”
The actual price-tags proposed by Sao Paolo are far greater for the Brazilian talents.
“Miranda has a buy-out clause worth £11m, while to buy Hernanes you need at least £35m,” added the director.
“If an offer does come for our two players, it is more likely to arrive from Spain, as their clubs are financially stronger.”

Rivera hard on Milan: "It is no longer a top club" ...I didn't say it another Milan great did.QUOTE
Interviewed by Gazzetta dello Sport, the Golden Boy of Italian football, Gianni Rivera was trimmed to Milan un'entratacia as those suffered by gioatore saying: "The Milan is no longer the company that tries to make the best offers on the market, but a club that cares mainly to the budget. In football, the economic dimension has become crucial. The companies that have never tended to cost, now must be accompanied by the numbers. " Inoltre, non si fa mancare una stilettata diretta a Berlusconi: " Berlusconi non si lamenti di questa nuova cultura dominante della finanza: la società spagnola ora ha i soldi e compra tutto quello che vuole. Non a caso questo tipo di cultura l'ha introdotta proprio lui ". Also, do not miss a stiletto for a Berlusconi: "Berlusconi is not lamented of this new culture of finance: the Spanish company now has the money and buy everything they want. It is no coincidence that this kind of culture was introduced him ".
Wake up people! Everyone is seeing it! Admitting that Milan has been going slightly down over recent years doesn't make you less of a Milan fan if that is what you guys are afraid of, it just means we are aware of what has been taking place. Open your eyes and accept the facts! It is then your choice to decide whether you still want to be a fan of the club it is today or keep disregarding the present, live on past and then in the future when we overcome this downturn again (hopefully) we look back and say 'oh, well once again Milan has shown that it is a great club and has overcame the bad times once again'.
That's fine, being optimistic and all, but quit thinking nothing has changed. We are no longer in a TOP club status, we can regain that after this season should things really turn around for us [...and I mean really turn around, because we have been really inconsistent and mediocre in recent times, with a rare WOW here and there].
But thinking that we are fine as we are, and getting upset when people voice their sadness, anger & depression towards the situation is foolish!

According to British tabloid The Sun, Leonardo would have found in Yossi Benayoun, Liverpool's Israeli midfielder alternative to Hernanes for rossonero midfield. La trattativa per Hernanes ha subito un rallentamento perchè la parallela trattativa per Dzeko potrebbe costare al Milan il secondo posto disponibile per tesserare un extracomunitario, visto che uno è già stato preso da Thiago Silva. The negotiation for Hernanes has slowed because the parallel negotiations on Dzeko Milan could cost the runner-up available for an extra ticket because one has already been taken by Thiago Silva.

...Thankfully it's The Sun, so it could be false.

Pato: It's Milan's decision Alexandre Pato looks set to turn down the offer from Chelsea to remain with Milan, confirmed his agent.
“Pato had a meeting with Milan and it is the club that decides on the future of a player,” Gilmar Veloz told Telelombardia this evening.
Carlo Ancelotti had wanted Pato to come to Chelsea with him and the Brazilian said he would “listen” to what the London club had to say.
“I will speak with Ancelotti before deciding on my future,” said the young striker earlier this week.
It looks as if Milan will refuse to release Pato, but it remains to be seen whether he will earn a pay rise as part of the deal.
“This is not a problem we will talk about in public,” added agent Veloz. “The contract is an issue between us and a private matter for the player.”

So he's only staying because we won't let him go? What happened to 'we won't keep a player who doesn't want to play for Milan'?

Rivera hard on Milan: "It is no longer a top club"
...I didn't say it another Milan great did.
Football clubs aren't profitable business's and have never been. In the past, when berlusconi needed Milan, he bankrolled Milan and there wasn't a problem but now he no longer needs Milan for popularity and so the club has been left to struggle on it's own. Perhaps he should just sell Milan to someone who has the clubs best interest at heart!?!?!

This is what really gets to me. We're paying these ridiculously high wages for players that shouldn't be on the team, let alone earning that much, and instead we go and sell Kaka. I'm just baffled.
Kaka is still pretty young and still has market value, something that the others that "shouldn't be on the team" lack.
Personally, I think his sale was inevitable because of his slump in form over the past two seasons coupled with his high $175K-a-week wages. He was clearly getting burned out here and change of scenery was definitely in the cards somewhere down the line; Milan just merely expedited the process.
We'd have a much harder time moving the lesser guys, anyway, which some don't seem to understand.
