TMW reporting that we could hear confirmation as early as tonight regarding the Oddo De Silvestri switch.

QUOTE
Taking over the exchange Oddo - De Silvestri

Source: qsvs.it

Secondo what gives the site qsvs.it, the Milan would have in store another blow that is likely to be announced tonight or tomorrow. This is equivalent to an exchange between the lateral rossonero Oddo (33), former captain of Lazio, and the young quarterback De Silvestri (21), now on the margins of biancoceleste pink, with a contract expiring in June 2010. It 'more likely, however, an exchange of loans, is also likely that Milan will take part of recruitment of Oddo, far too high for the company Lotito. It would be an exceptional market, however, expect further confirmation today.

As for Huntelaar, Fishdoll expects zeddie to come up with an appropriate smiley for him!!!

Zeddie's lost his touch sad.gif he can't find an appropriate smiley!

EDIT: it'd be great if we exchanged Oddo with Di Silvestri... fins, claws, fingers all crossed!

Leonardo has suggested the purchase of a lateral defender. Una possibilità è lo scambio tra Massimo Oddo e Lorenzo De Silvestri . ITALY/MILAN, Bergessio as alternative to Dinho?
09:54| Redazione TMW |

If he leaved he transfers to Europe. These the words of Diego Pablo Simeone, manager at Saint Lorentz of Gonzalo Bergessio, striker appreciated in Italy. The footballer close to Atalanta during past months, and Catania interest, now receive interest by Milan.

Rossoneri can acquire him a first alternative to Ronaldinho.

Who the heck is this guy?? huh.gif

ITALY/ AC MILAN, Eyes on Vargas
08:26| Redazione TMW |

Upon coach Leonardo's request, AC Milan GM Adriano Galliani is looking for a new left-back and the new idea is Peruvian international Juan Manuel Vargas, who plays for Fiorentina and is worth 15 million euros.
han2503
De Silvestri would be enough for the fullback position

If this is really as done and dusted as is being said, tha management should concentrate on the midfield. Sneijder, Hernanes, etc

Van der Vaart is also on the way out at Real, we should look into that one, he could be another ultra cheap top class Dutch player we could bring in
Protagonist
Van der Vaart, I don't rate him that highly. He has made a name in football, as a promising attacking midfielder. That said, he did not prove to be all that at his time in Madrid, nor before that. At best, I'd prefer Hernanes or Sneijder to him.
rip
on a side note: Does anyone feel that Gila would fit into our current tactics??

well anyways, we have Huntelaar whom i thnk is better. so YAY! biggrin.gif

i consider VDV a world class player. sure hes not playing well now, but given the chance to play in his position he would outshine many. so i definitely would welcome him
Habitant
de silvestri and drenth would be perfect, both are very attacking fullbacks which has been part of our model for some time now.

then sign a creative mid a la hernanes and we're set smile.gif
CrazyMilanFan
qsvs are now saying that de silvistre is about to become a milan player i think they are not tha tkinda a reliable bcoz TMW are quoting and exclusive interview with oddo who say he knows nothing about lazio move let see how this ends

QUOTE (han2503 @ Aug 7 2009, 09:53 AM) *
Essien would be another ball fighter in that midfield, sure he's more diverse then Rino and Ambro and can move the ball forward but we'd still need another creative mid becuase Seedorf would be the only creative one in that midfield which does not inpire me at all.

yeah, hernanes is the way forward, right about now i hope its not just we fans that recognise this.

yep,i'm also one of the few who think we had absolutely no business selling gila, he wasn't playing that badly at the time, he only didn't get as many goals but still he had a good thing going with pato helping the lad settle up front+ one day we're talking gila+pato for the future and the next day he's gone, only to resume banging in goals for fiorentina. we had no business selling him

but YAY! we've got huntelaar now

Gila was a scapegoat, nothing more. Alot of the criticism about him is unjust. Like the myth that he never scored important goals, despite the fact that about 90% of them could be considered important.

Yeah di silvestri is pretty much done. He'll be announced soon. Vargas and all those other links are just smoke screens as usual to confuse the media to not knowing who we are signing till the last minute.

Now onto hernanes. As I said earlier these signings will hit really fast one after another.

Only one source so far think De Silvestri is done, lets not jump the gun here as Oddo just said that he knows nothing about being transfered back to Lazio

A lot of sources seem to think its Oddo, if not and its for someone like Abate I'd rather we keep him and pay a couple millions extra. Both are players for the future lets not gain one and lose one at the same time

i still want to hear more about fabregas though. i've wanted him to join milan for a long time but always considered him untouchable. it now appears no one is untouchable at arsenal.

Gilardino didn't work in the Milan system. The fact is he didn't produce because he wasn't an adequate replacement to fill the shoes of Scheva and everyone criticises him. We had a strikeforce of box strikers with nobody that could pass them the ball. On the other hand he didn't produce in champions league which really separates a world player from a regular player.

I don't get how Milan don't get the simple fact that Ancelottis tactics were dependent on a solid #9 forward. I said Torres and Benzema look at them now.

i strongly disagree with the yard stick u're using to measure class, let me remind u that wayne rooney had a champions league goal drought for almost 2yrs, also didn't get international goals for about 3yrs too, ibrahimovic hasn't quite stepped up on the biggest UCL stage either yet they're regarded a classy, gila only needed more chance period.

no disrespeck to huntelaar but buying him now is ALMOST like arriving at the same spot we were at 2 yrs ago with gila

yep, it seems arsenal will let any player go for good prices, i love their business style
adebayor $7m- £25m
toure£100k- £16m
fabregas£400k- today about £30m

i don't exactly fancy spending so much on 1player, we could get hernanes+ a good LB with some change to spare with that kinda money

When they pay off their debt, they will be a scary club to compete with. Right now thats all that is holding them back and yet they can still compete imagine when they can actually spend their profits.

In regards to the deal regarding Silvestri, Its reported it could be done as early as monday as silvestri will fly to milan for final talks.

There are two options though. We give oddo+cash(4m) or we buy him straight out 8m. I personally think Oddo will not be transfered and we will buy him straight out but I could be wrong. Its all speculation at this point. But what is good news is that the smoke screens (bale&vargas) have already been placed and comments from both have been heard as well, which usually means the signing is close.

We'll see on monday. However, I must stress for all to remember anything can happen wink.gif

that'd be great(its good to finally see quality players arrive), on the other hand it seems we're all hooked on the 'buying players for the future thingy' so far i'm not so convinced we've got a title winning squad YET.

any news on riquelme, i understand we were briefly linked with him after the boca game(audi cup) i think what we're missing now is that maestro that can bring others into the game, so far ronnie ain't it as he sometimes can barely get himself in the game, any thoughts????

He would be priced very good for us and he is a worldclass player but unfortunately. He is over 30 and would take a non eu spot.

yes, his price'll be good, i don't mind his age, its not like i want him playing for us till he's 38, i'd prefer we get an experienced&serious 30yrs olg guy and join the league of serious contenders for titles, rather than going for an overpriced brazilian LB to come take up that precious non EU spot.
