Speaking of Dutch players on the Madrid sale block, what do folks think of Van Nistlerooy?

Dont you think that we don't need a player like RvN because we have Pato, Inzaghi...
Tennie
Fishdoll meh. He is more of a poacher than a CF but he's bound to be going fairly cheap from Real, if only because he and Cristiano Ronaldo hate each other. He IS good.

For what it's worth, Fishdoll would actually prefer Giuseppe Rossi even if technically he's similar to Pato.

Where you also refer to Poulsen as a class player...

That's me saying he's a good player, not a stand up professional. unsure.gif

I said he's the SAME as Gattuso in the first line of that 'evidence', yet I say Gattuso is not captain material. So how on earth you make it out that I think Poulsen is captain material/a stand up guy really has me stumped.

You say classy. That to me says it all

Also, the fact that when I was saying stand up guys you immediately took it to mean great professionals, when I was more aiming at players that are worthy. Now whether that is captaincy or just playing for a big club is another thing

Also I was reading alot of you posts from back then and you seemed to also think that Rino was a great player, what happned with that one?

I said class, not classy. Maybe it's not common slang over there, but class/great/top/ace/brilliant.. they just mean 'very good' and therefore to do with his ability rather than his temprament/attitude.

I used to think he was alright, yeah. A number of reasons really, I felt we were better without him, I realised there's not really much to his game and the fact that in the last 2 years or so he has barely put in a single great performance.

To me when you say the word class, it means that its a great player both on and off the pitch.

You tell me Maldini I respond: Class

And no to me class and great/top/brilliant are not the same. C.Ronaldo is all those adjectives but he's certainly not class.

Regarding Rino. I don't see how you came to the conclusion that we play better without him seeing as he's been injured for the majority of the past 2 seasons and we've been rubbish in both. You do the math.

You really are missing my point.

You can't say "To me when you say the word class, it means that its a great player both on and off the pitch." as it may not apply to everyone. You are not English, you don't speak our slang. Class, in England, means great/ace/brilliant, etc. Just like most people think of the word 'fit' as healthy/god level of stamina, here it's slang for someone being hot/sexy.

I know about the English saying fit to them mean sexy. But I never knew class meant good/brilliant etc. As me personally when you say a class player means a totally different thing.

I've always used class as a replacement for 'great' to be honest. I usually say classy when talking about something I think highly of as a person, as well as a player.

Ash could maybe back me up on this? I dunno.

EDIT: I've found an example here..

As for 'American Gangster' that's an album most people should have. It's class and you will recognize immediately about 5/6 songs off it.

Now I highly doubt Ash is saying that album is 'classy' in the way Maldini is, just that it's very good/brilliant, class.

The Stuttgart negotiations are off is what I read. 3.7 million a year is his wages. ohmy.gif

Taking into account the tax in Italy, if he were to play for us, he'd roughly earn what Pirlo does. Warranted? unsure.gif

allright peeps, update time:

Elano has come out and declared Milan are a great club and he would love to play for us, however he mentioned there was no contact (lol).

Dzeko situation seems to be getting better in Milan's favor as Galliani's talk with Bronzetti were positive about trezeguet and furthermore about dzeko. Galliani was scheduled to talk with Wolfsburg directors this week, but that meeting was canceled as the club have no interest in negotiating with Milan at the current time.

Dzeko's agent furthermore has come out and insisted that the signing of a new striker would not signal the departure of Dzeko from Wolfsburg. But reports claim that Dzeko's agent is talking with wolfsburg directors and pushing foreward a deal once again.

Wolfsburg are now linked with a bid for Obafemi Martins, which is expected to hit off in the coming days.

------------------

All speculation, we talked with bronzetti for a few hours about different things. I think what Galliani is trying to do is get trezeguet in a swap deal of some sort for cover, while our main target remains Dzeko. Treze could be a bluff as well as fabiano was, at this point we don't know. But It seems galliani this time will be negotiatino through bronzetti with wolfsburg. G will meet with him again on monday, which i'm guessing will be finally a real movement in the market by us
Bronzetti is important He was one of the big reasons we were able to get dinho and zambro at the prices we did, he is a good man to have at the table. Elano has come out of nowhere and called us a great club, which means we could be in talks with him soon or he could be a bluff.

This mercato has been super strange for me. Galliani has never been so mysterious before, I wonder how many smoke screens and covers hes running. Maybe even Dzeko is a smoke screen?

Anyways we won't really know much until monday when we are done this little tourney.
Bluesummers
So what do you guys think G has got planned? I cannot predict anything this summer, all my guesses were wrong blink.gif

He has not acted like this in a long time, nothing said to the press, no lies, just nothing.....its as if its the calm before the storm. He is moving but he is moving in ways we can't even begin to follow. Bronzetti meeting came out of nowhere. First we sign cisskho then we drop him, fabiano was our main target for almost a month, and now trezeguet? There is just no pattern.....

Usually he likes to lie and make up stories but now he is just to the point. I wonder what hes got cooking.

I think that B&G plan is to wait until the end of transfermarket and then buy 6-7 players and show us how great they are and how great Berlusconi president is... Any way i can't stand this much drama about transfers i go on vacatino 2 weeks i hope when i come back i will see Dzeko, Hernanes and some good LB in Team smile.gif

Milan Turn Attentions To AZ Striker Moussa Dembele – Report
Reports suggest Milan have found an alternative to Luis Fabiano...

Milan are planning to make a move for AZ Alkmaar and Belgium striker Moussa Dembele after missing out on Luis Fabiano of Sevilla.

The deal for Fabiano appears to be off and the Italians are looking at the 22-year-old from Belgium as an alternative. Dembele won the Dutch league under Luis van Gaal last term and he has been impressive for AZ, scoring at a rate of nearly a goal every other game over three seasons.

Furthermore, Tuttosport claims his wage demands and price tag fall in line with Milan's spending policies.

It is said former Milan legend Marco van Basten has advised the Italian side to make a move for Dembele. The former Ballon d'Or winner heaped high praise on the hitman and he has invited Adriano Galliani to make his move. The Italian side's €14 million offer for Fabiano was rejected, but voices suggest the same offer will land Dembele.

Despite the reports, Galliani has said that there were no alternatives for Fabiano, suggesting the striker search would be called off.

Meanwhile, the Rossoneri lost a friendly match against Club America 2-1 early this morning during their USA tour.

Dzeko still available for AC Milan? 'We are prepared to negotiate'

15:19 del 22 luglio

Dzeko Edin Dzeko and AC Milan. Now that Luis Fabiano will not arrive, there might be another possibility to negotiate the Wolfsburg's striker.

The player's agent, Irfan Redzepagic, said to Telelombardia: "Wolfsburg will probably let Dzeko go if Nilmar arrives. It's all depending on the coach, Armin Veh, and on his speed to change his mind. We are prepared to sit down again and negotiate".

Moussa what?

How 'bout signing no one? it's better that way. seriously. spend the money on other needs, like a midfielder or a defender/LB/etc.
LaPalma
That's rubbish. They ain't gonna sell him, no matter what happens. They simply need another striker cause it would be madness to start the season with only two striker in your squad...
On the other hand...maybe Volkswagen needs the money now that they plan to buy Porsche. Though I don't think the 25 million for Dzeko will help much.

Agree, and i hate media coes they give speculation to us and when owning Club heard news that Milan is in town for their player price goes 4 x coes they know how much we got from Kaka transfer... I prefer silence signin and Media that onlly wrote when Job is done. Muoussa Dembele is not bad option at all any way, i watch his preformenc live in 2 matches i can onlly say that Weslley Sonck was way better then him but guy have a moves and speed...

What i heard from Volfsburg is that Veh is not statisfied with Dzeko coes he want to go to Milan, that's why this story is starting from begining. Like G told u can't keap some one in club against his will, that's what's hapening with Dzeko. Wolfsburg would be satisfied wtih 22-25 Mil € 100%
Tennie
Where does it state that Bronzetti is going to negotiate with Wolfsburg? Bronzetti does transfers in SPAIN.

Fishdoll thinks Milan have been after Dzeko all along.

As per usual, Fishdoll doesn't bother commenting on anything from goal.com as it's completely unreliable.

In other news, apparently there's a total breakdown in relations between Lavezzi and Napoli - he may be leaving (but where?)

And Corriere (okay, also not reliable but interesting this time) is stating that relations between the cugini and their coach are not very good right now due to the market (not enough sales, not the guys wanted brought in) and other factors.

Yeah that's possible, maybe we're trying to sign David Villa quietly for $20 million.

Juventus' French striker David Trezeguet could leave soon, but perhaps not to AC Milan (despite recent rumours).

Juventus sports director Alessio Secco told Italian media sources: "We would like to keep Trezeguet. However, if he would request a release, we would consider selling him abroad - not to another Italian club".

Source : http://transfermarketweb.com/

LOL Trezeguet is checking his future in Juventus with speculation with Milan, i think this guy will finish in Franch league at the end...

At least we're independent...sigh...
There's no use of getting our hopes up for new players, bcuz we will end up being dissapointed.

When I look at our current situation I couldn't help but reminisce our days when we had;
Shevchenko, Rui Costa, Kaka', Stam, Cafu, Serginho, Maldini..

Yes they were old, but they were World Class, even at the wrong side of 30s players like Cafu, Serginho, Maldini were better than anyone 10 years younger...Zambrotta, Oddo, Antonini, Bonera, Jankulovski...they're not even close to them...

Rui Costa, an elegant player who chews gum, wears short socks...a true maestro...never complains about lack of playing..very underrated player..

Shevchenko, well on his day, he was one of the best, arguably the best of his generation...second top scorer of AC Milan, the blonde Ukrainian was a clinical finisher, likes to tear up defences and score goals as if they were effortless...

Maldini, not even the word legend begins to describe this man...

But who do we have now? We wanted young blood, Milan have given it to us...but the problem is these youngsters won't develop to become World Class players...apart from Pato, I doubt Zigoni, Abate or Di Gennaro will become the next Totti or Del Piero or Inzaghi...we let Gourcuff, the next big thing, slip through our fingers...I mean Milan owned him..Atm, I only see Pato and Paloschi becoming world beaters, the rest...well they'll just be Milan players..

I haven't been on this forum for a while but I can tell you one thing we were right two years ago what would happen to this team- down the trash can.

I just watch club america v Milan and it was a total joke watching the old folks home. People will say it's preseason come on. Go watch Chelsea v inter they came out like they wanted to win everything. It's not as bad as inter drawing with UCLA though.

If Galliani wants to balance the budget I say fire him and use the money to buy players because he has done nothing in two years for this club. If this wasn't Italy he would be fired.

This team need a forward a fullback and one or two creative midfielders. They could have traded kaka and got some Real Madrid prospects.

We get rid of gourcuff and kaka= 100 million dollars. No transfers.

We get rid of Ancelotti for of all people Leonardo. I like him. I liked him as a player. But he has no experience and your giving the keys to Milan. We'll see.

Fabiano situation is an embarassment. Trezeguet is washed up juventus don't even play him- Milan have had open arms to other teams bench warmers for to long.

I feel we all deserve to see the majority of that cash go to transfers and not play for Berlusconi's escorts and teeth whitening kits.
