Asked what the player's price is, Savino said, "It's hard to make a precise economic evaluation, because AZ don't need to sell him and the Champions League is a good stage to showcase himself; I think €10-12 million is the player's correct value, but I want to emphasise this is a personal opinion.

"The Dutch league begins in a few weeks, but we are doing all we can to bring this lad to Italy, although we know that there is also the January transfer market and that we could talk about it again next season."

Time passes on in the efforts of Liverpool’s American owners, Tom Hicks and George Gillett, to mobilise funds to manage the mammoth £350 million debt.

The Royal Bank of Scotland and Wachovia are expected to grant the owners a further extension on the loans, which are set to expire tomorrow.

Meanwhile, according to a report in the Irish Independent, two groups of fans - Spirit of Shankly and ShareLiverpoolFC - formed due to dissatisfaction with the current owners, are hoping to realise their dream by purchasing a majority stake in the Merseyside club.

ShareLiverpoolFC is planning to raise £10m by selling shares at £500 on a one-person-one-share basis, and an additional £140m through the sale of additional loan stock to the fans. Once the £150m has been raised, the support groups plan to use these funds to bid for a majority stake in the club in order to gain control, and seek a further £100m from a commercial partner.

The ambitious fans plan to exchange the remaining debt £100m by making it a convertible loan stock in the club, which the banks would buy over a 20-year period.

ShareLiverpoolFC and Spirit of Shankly were formed 18 months ago after the supporters grew dissatisfied with Hicks and Gillett's running of the club.

Samuel Eto'o - Zlatan Ibrahimovic Deal Is Complete - Barcelona Director Oliver

Barcelona have confirmed an accord has been reached between both clubs and with the players. The Blaugrana have also hinted that Ibrahimovic may be unveiled on Monday.

Oliver, who left Inter's offices after completing the deal told Sky Sport Italia, "The deal between both clubs is done. That goes for [Aliaksandr] Hleb too."

The Barcelona director has been thrashing out final details in Milan, and he will now return to the Spanish city in order to present Ibrahimovic with the transfer documents.

One final brick needs to be laid for the deal to become concrete and that is the signature block.

Barcelona's Txiki Begiristain has also confirmed the deal is in place and Ibrahimovic needs to put pen to paper.

"We have an agreement with the player and with Inter, and we are now preparing the documents," Begiristain told Sport.es.

"The transfer paper is in Milan as our directors there are negotiating it with Inter. We are trying to do things as fast as possible and he [Ibrahimovic] could be unveiled on Monday."

It is suggested both clubs will announce the deal as official once both men sign and rubber stamp their respective contracts.

If anything I'd say they'd go up. Sellers will know buyers are in a rush to make the signing and can't afford to lose out on a player haggling over a price so will usually spend more. Sellers will also want to sell higher as selling will actually put them in a difficult position of having to rush a signing themself.
