Guys you have to remember that the sale of Kaka has balanced the books, that means we don't have any more cash and the Club has to raise the money themselves, I guess the rebuilding process that should have started 2 yrs ago has just begun, I've been a fan since 1991, this type of stuff happens, we just need to get behind the Team and support the Club that we love, it become difficult when it seems that the club has no motivation, but this is the real of our Loyalty. "Anyone who tries to stop us will end up in hospital," chanted the 100 or so fans outside the club, according to Sky Sport Italia.

Milan's first day back from the summer holidays has got off to the worst possible start as hundreds of angry Ultras caused trouble outside the club's training ground during today's lunch-hour.

Bottles, various objects and flares were hurled towards the club buildings as journalists from Sky Sport Italia ran for cover. Fans continued to launch heavy insults towards the club's directors, unhappy that the pre-season, which begins later today, kicks-off with no new striker or signings following the departure of Kaka to Real Madrid.

The Ultras aimed their anger towards the club's owner, Silvio Berlusconi, and vice-president Adriano Galliani. They are clearly angered by Berlusconi's comments in today's edition of La Gazzetta Dello Sport where the chief claims the club are stronger than Inter.

"Anyone who tries to stop us will end up in hospital," chanted the 100 or so fans outside the club, according to Sky Sport Italia.

Police soon arrived at the scene and restored some order, but the Ultras are in no mood for conciliation. The protests have been toned down somewhat following the police presence, but the fans are demanding answers.

Leonardo and Galliani are expected to give a press conference later today.

Carlo will do well in the Champions League, but he won't, or shouldn't, be given the opportunity to show it. Scolari was doing poorly in the league and got the sack, while he was still in the Champions League. If Carlo does just as porrly in the league, he'll get the sack too. Carlo isn't a Premier League manager, he'll get found out very quickly, in my opinion.

I can't see him doing that good in the CL either

At Milan he's always had that 1 star player that turned a game on its head in seconds, first it was Sheva then it was Kaka, at Chelsea he has a strong team but he doesn't have that difference maker that can create magic out of nothing.

When Carlo won the CLs we won them because he had a great team and great individuals, the first CL was won because he probably had the best team in Europe at the time, even the league was won because he had a team full of stars from back to front. The second CL was won because of Kaka dragging everyone on.

The moment the team wasn't of 5 star quality anymore we started to struggle, barely making the CL even not making it on one occasion.

At Chelsea he has a good team. But I don't think its enough to carry them along to CL win or an EPL win. My bet? Chelsea get knocked out at the quarter finals in the CL I don't see them getting any further then that. Not unless they buy a true star player that can make the difference.

Makes sense. It makes no difference to me, if we buy in July or August..as long as we do buy. I might be crucified for this, but I've always liked Galliani...more than Silvio. I think he does the best he can. He's human and he's made mistakes but mistakes I can live with.

Chelsea would be 5 times the club they are if they had Galliani instead of Kenyon.

I think it makes a lot of difference.

"Milan will continue to be Milan," said Adriano Galliani at the press conference that opened the Rossoneri's season. Besides, Silvio Berlusconi himself has no doubts: "My Milan is as good as Inter," he told the Gazzetta.

ANGER AND THE FUTURE - But go and tell that to the fans. Confused and abandoned, there was no invasion at Milanello. They are diehard sentimentalists who expressed their love with anger; they are still hurt by the sale of Kakà, an incomparable symbol. There were those who stepped out of the crowd, and raised their voices and threw things: "Protesting is fair enough," said Galliani, "but none of us is falling apart; we have simply decided to keep an eye on the balance sheet and to look to our young players. LIFE GOES ON - The managing director acknowledged everyone. Absolutely everyone. He said: "Here we are for the 24th year at the club with Berlusconi's name on it, the most successful club in the world." He stressed: "No one is like Milan, neither in Europe nor around the world. We are unique and proud to be so. But today is a time of renewal: here is new coach Leonardo and the new captain Ambrosini." In other words, as far as Galliani is concerned, "life goes on". PIRLO AND ETO'O - A press conference short on excitement, in other words. It is worth noting a couple of comments from Galliani. Like this one about Pirlo: "He is not being sold; I don't think he's leaving. If an offer were to arrive we would let him know, but he wants to stay with us. Eto'o? He is an important player who is asking for too much money; an excessive figure." Milan's objectives? This is worth taking note of: "One of the top three places," said the managing director. "We've got the squad to do it and to do well in the Champions League."

Its funny how he says that Milan are still competitive yet he ends the entire rant with "Milan will aim for the top 3 places" What happened to aiming for top spot and winning the CL. Milan are far from competative and he knows and so do the fans. Don't try to feed us BS about the president when he's the one that has put Milan in this position.

And regarding the youngsters, fair enough that he's pointing to Pato, but don't say that Di Gennaro, Zigoni and Barretta are our future, Di Gennaro I'm not a big fan of and I don't think he's good enough either. And Barretta and Zigoni we know nothing of. They're coming from Primavera sides, they might flop big time when it comes to playing in Serie A

I Agree with u .... Sometimes when u see a youngster u know that he will be a star like pato i saw him in world cup in japan between Barcelona and Internastional i was surprised with this kid and when milan signed him i had faith in him and he didnt disappointed us..

Report: Milan Director Ariedo Braida Flies To Brazil For Miranda & Hernanes

Braida has travelled to South America to attend Pato’s wedding and could resume talks with Sao Paulo over the highly-rated pair.

Milan supporters voiced their anger at the club’s lack of activity in the transfer market yesterday, however, there could soon be some movement as the Rossoneri plot a chart for Brazilian duo Hernanes and Joao Miranda.

Despite Kaka’s departure for Real Madrid, the Rossoneri have yet to make a single signing this summer, aside for central defender Thiago Silva, who has been training at Milanello for the past six months.

However, director general Ariedo Braida is now in Brazil. Star striker Alexandre Pato will tie the knot with actress Sthefany Brito tomorrow, and Calciomercato.it claims the director will take this opportunity to sound out Sao Paulo over midfielder Hernanes and central defender Miranda.

The duo have long been targets for the Rossoneri, but Sao Paulo warned last month that cash-strapped Milan do not have the required funds to sign them, sporting director Joao Paulo de Jesus Lopes joking that the players are worth considerably more than a crate of bananas.

Miranda reportedly has a €14 million rescission clause, while Hernanes is valued at around €40m.

Milan could turn to Internacional hitman Nilmar after Real Madrid rejected their offer for Dutch striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. The Rossoneri have also been scared off by Sevilla, who slapped a €30m price tag on Luis Fabiano.

Look if this is true I can't really fault the management.

I mean seriously 30 million for Fabiano?? I wouldn't pay a penny over 20 million for either Fabiano or Huntelaar, and that's a risk in itself.

Hernanes would be my choice of the 2 Brazilians as we need that type of player in the midfield to take over from Seedorf. But 40m? No way he's worth that much

I'd offer around 15-20m max for him. He's not even a reguar international player for Brazil and has only played in the Brazilian league.

Regarding the striker position. I think Real would be happy with around 13-15m for Huntelaar and they wouldn't make it difficuilt for us like other clubs have been doing I'm sure of it

i think 20 mil is max what Huntelaar worth and 25 mil max for Hernanes.. He's good player a good replacement for seedorf
