Milan are, according to Tuttosport (...), looking to sign São Paulo CB and former Silva teammate Miranda. They could very well make up a great duo but the idea of having two non-Italians at center back does not sound so good to me.

I remember after Milan were knocked out in London, Paolo gave a five star rating to Adebayor. I'm not a fan really, but nonetheless he is a very technically gifted player. He would do great in Milan.

Yes but here in this forum people know more than Paolo which played with every single striker in the last 20 years!
Tennie
Well, dst, to put your mind at ease, tuttomercatoweb is reporting that Spurs outbid Milan for Miranda.

And I still don't like Adebayor. smile.gif Didn't like Shevchenko even when he was the golden boy either.

What? I have to like every single player who ever played for Milan?

no, but players that gives so much for milan like Sheva did, you should!
Tennie
Sorry. smile.gif Just never much liked him. I appreciate the very good performances he put in for the club, but...meh. I just don't like him. To be fair, I'm not sure I've liked many strikers at Milan since Van Basten. Pippo's okay and the kids (Pato and Paloschi) may turn out well but they've got BIG shoes that I'm not sure will ever be filled.

gal_kenny
We'll just have to wait and see who we'll actually end up with....There's been too much rumours all over the place...we've been linked with players i don't expect to be linked with....I really can't wait, to much rumours....

u r rite you dont have to like every player u have to support them when they are playing for milan imo to like a player is different thing
Tennie
So now there are Grafite-to-Milan rumors. Interesting thought; the guy's been doing well for Wolfsburg this year.
Jack Sparrow
Heh. Now every Brazillian from Rio de Janeiro to Antarctica will be linked to Milan. Not entirely without good reason.

I hate to sound bitchy but we're under no obligation to like any particular player. To each his own. For instance, I'm not a Kaka fan even though I appreciate what he's done for the club.
aLbErTo
like we did with emerson, inter yesterday terminated contract with Adriano...
Jack Sparrow
There's no school like old school. So I pretty much love all the old players. In fact as soon as they leave the club, I'm all nostalgic.

I find it hard to hate Sheva. Believe me, I've tried a lot. But every time I see that SOB, in the red and black, I'm transported 6 years back. To the glorious age of Milan in the early part of this decade. Can't help it.

If he stays I won't mind. If he leaves, I won't shed a tear either. I'm indifferent now.

In fact knowing the type of person, I'm...I won't miss Kaka till he leaves. And then I'll be disconsolate. biggrin.gif

By the way, there's a gem from Galliani..which goal.com has totally blown out of proportion. He says Osvaldo's goal for the Viola which kicked us out of 4th place was a huge loss. He says if he'd known, he'd just have purchased Osvaldo. Anyway the press claims Galliani 'blames' Osvaldo. rolleyes.gif

The key point though is he says, because we were kicked out of CL, our revenues went from 45 MM euros to 7 MM euros!!! ohmy.gif

You know what...suddenly, I find it hard to begrudge the Beckham deal AND all the friendlies. Holy shite!! 38 MM loss.

Imagine if actually had a debt like Man U's or Liverpool to go with it.

Here's a new one. Fishdoll is almost tempted to give the author a cookie for his creativity.

United in for Milan ace Kaka

MANCHESTER UNITED held talks with Kaka on Friday over a sensational summer move.

The Brazilian’s representatives met United to discuss personal terms which would total £35million in wages alone.

A source close to the AC Milan superstar confirmed: “It was a very positive meeting, although nothing was agreed.

“The player wants a five-year contract and wages of £135,000 a week. He is very keen to join United and these are figures that are within United’s pay structure. It’s up to them what happens now.”

The talks did not involve any discussion about a transfer fee but Milan expect to get at least £70m for their star player.

The big question now is how United will find the cash — and whether they will sell Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer to Real Madrid.

Kaka, 27, has already spoken of his affinity for United, saying: “They have some great players in Giggs and Scholes and especially Wayne Rooney.

“One of my best friends, Anderson, is also there — how can anyone say no?

“They are the English and European champions and a great club to play for.”

Perhaps so, but (sadly for the boys) MilanFan is rated PG -- there's a Hot Girls thread in the Off-Topic section with slightly naughty photos, but nudity isn't permitted. Lots of under-18s about.

This is a video of Santacroce vs Juventus...This guy is really good maine..I wish he comes to AC Milan...Plus with Thiago Silva, his defensive job won't be too much compared to how it is in Napoli cuz Silva would be there to help him, Gattuso, flamini, also gat the defensive duties too...I wish Milan signs him

Shevchenko's agent has been quoted as saying that Sheva will return to London at the end of the season.
Tennie
^^ The Shevchenko report has since gotten an official denial on acmilan.com. I really would prefer for him not to remain.

Simon Kjaer has a 12m recission clause in his contract. That might be a bit too high for Milan (?)

Milan are apparently observing OM keeper Mandanda.

Both Agger and Dossena are supposedly on their way out of Liverpool.

(all of the above from tuttomercatoweb)

MILAN - We make it known that the footballer Andriy Shevchenko is not represented by mr. Fabio Parisi, whose declarations, moreover, are not authorised by the player himself and do not reflect his thoughts and desires.

Shev can skip town as far as I'm concerned. He made his bed by jumping ship over there the first time, now he has to lie in it.

These Mandanda rumors are BS. Besides the team's familiar stubbornness in not bringing in new GK help, this guy is young and unknown, which is of course a death knell in itself for anyone with aspirations of coming here. Plus, and in no way is this a racist comment, I can't see Milan signing another black keeper, given all the hate towards Dida over the past few years during good times and bad. There's a lot of pressure from the fans to have Italian talent between the sticks, be it Marchetti or whomever.

Despite what he had done .. The Curva really show their affection for Sheva. Though I am totally indifferent to the idea of him staying/leaving, he remains the second highest scorer for this club.

Who is this Adil Rami. Since when have we been looking at him. Is he really worth 5-7 million?
Tennie
I think he's a defender that plays for one of the French clubs. Fillipo may know about him.
Jack Sparrow
He plays for Lille apparently. But is he any good? I don't think we require another Bonera-class player. Not to say Bonera is bad, but we should first have a starting pair. Then we can worry about depth. We don't even know if Thiago Silva is starter CB material yet.

if Carlo says that he is, than i think he really is, remember that carlo win everything with the strong defense and that he is a defense master biggrin.gif!

Carlo never says anything. Any time he has, Milan has made sure we didn't get him. Emerson (once upon a time), Ribery, Adebayor etc.

Carlo doesn't seem to do a lot of scouting...all of that is done by Braida, who once upon a time was damn good.

he wanted him the summer juve went down, and we got him the following year... he got his man and he was a complete bust and waste of space.
