i think milan fans will be very please with gooch's signing.
we haven't had a defender like him since Stam. this guy is big enough to play on any NFL team in America.
what he lacks in pace he makes up with strength and height. he is also pretty decent at headers. i can't wait to see him in a milan jersey!
I think his lack of pace isn't going to be so much of a weakness in Serie A. Maybe in the EPL he'd be shown up a bit, but I don't think that'll be the case here. What worries me is his positioning, I often find he's in the wrong place alot of the time. Tim Howard bailed him out on quite a few occasions in the CC.
I don't think it's a bad signing, in fact I'm pleased with it, I just hope there's more to come!

Look if this is true I can't really fault the management.
I mean seriously 30 million for Fabiano?? I wouldn't pay a penny over 20 million for either Fabiano or Huntelaar, and that's a risk in itself.
Can we get both Hernanes and Miranda? Doesn't Thiago technically occupy one non-EU spot already??
i kinda think we ought to prioritize hernanes( all round midfield service) .we've still got inzaghi who only needs constant service to get a goal..another striker can come in later, afterall nobody's gonna buy huntelaar for £20m, we can always have our loan bid accepted on aug31st

Personally I'd prefer going for Sneijder when it comes to the midfield. Hernanes is ridiculously over priced for a player that's not even a starter in the full Brazil NT and has only ever played in the Brazilian league
Sneijder will come for half the ammount Sao Paolo are asking for Hernanes

After missing the entirety of last season, and part of the one before, due to a series of injuries, it seems Milan defender Alessandro Nesta is starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Lately he has been participating more frequently in the team's training sessions, and no longer feels any pain.
Today he talked to Milan Channel about his situation and his confidence ahead of the new season, as the Rossoneri begin their summer preparations.
"I did the first few training sessions and I feel good," he said, "I think and hope I have recovered from last season's problems. I've managed to give continuity to my work, I've worked a lot, the real test comes now when we leave for the United States, with many matches close together. But my pains have gone away, I'm confident.
"This year is very important for me, from many points of view. I have to understand my situation well, and understand what my future holds. I am confident and think it will be a positive year."
On the reports that appeared last winter suggesting he would retire, Nesta said, "Initially it bothered me, but in the end it brought me luck. I've had other heavy injuries in my career and always came back. I've done it this time again."

Some of us have being saying for the last couple of seasons even under Anchelotti that the team was getting to Brazilian ...now it's a fascination with the damn country...Leonardo has been in Italy long enough to know who the good players are.
He the club or whoever should focus on the fact that Milan are a
Italian club playing in the

i think you have to take his supporting cast into factor as well. his usual center partner was injured and Beasley (for the first 2 games...had no business being there). he was forced to cover way to much area.
on a side note...this transfer sparked a discussion in our newsroom today about the epl, spl and serie a. the love fest american soccer fans have with epl gets really old sometimes. they honestly think i'm not a true fan of the game because i don't have a favorite epl team. and that i'm even more odd for supporting the dirty italians. it's tough being a serie a fan over here.

Milan's Only Objective Is Luis Fabiano, No More Defenders - Galliani
Galliani was in Milan for an informal Lega Calcio presidents meeting and he stopped to give an update on the club's transfer plans. He is no longer waving the big stick towards Porto's Aly Cissokho after sigining Oguchi Onyewu on Tuesday.
In addition, the big-wig has confirmed that only Sevilla's Fabiano is the name on top of the striker's agenda in Via Turati, signalling an end of interest in Arsenal's Emmanuel Adebayor who was, up until now, considered a possibility by the chief.
"Our market for defenders is now closed with the arrival of Onyewu. There will not be a Cissokho or any other defender." Galliani told Sky Sport Italia.
"Our only objective remains Luis Fabiano, but there is a difference between what we have offered and his asking price."
Another burning issue ringing in Galliani's ears has been the constant hype surrounding a reported exit for Andrea Pirlo. However, it appears as if the Italian will be staying.
"In terms of selling, there have not been any offers for Pirlo and thus we will stay as we are," concluded the chief.

To Milanello began the it was-Leonardo. New methods, primarily in the field of training, to where you work only with the ball, but also outside, to where to revolution took place. The first day of meeting the new coach wanted to talk to everyone, not only with players and members of the technical staff. It has assembled also the giardinieri, the waiters, the staff of the pulizie, the cooks. Brought together the gardeners, the waiters, the cleaning staff, cooks. All “been involved” in its new plan. All “involved” in his new project.
One ventata of fresh air not is that to say. Leonardo it is convinced that to explain the own ideas of job to all, also to the giardinieri and the cooks it is a way for entusiasmare, to give loads to the atmosphere. To breath of fresh air that there is to say. Leonardo believes that explain their ideas to work at all, even the gardeners and chefs as to way to enthuse, to the office environment. Important E', for the Brazilian, than all those who every day they are to Milanello are pushes from the same one wants, from the same ones objects to you that they have the soccers player, than then every Sunday come down in field. It 'important for the Brazilian, that all those who every day to are at Milanello to are driven by that to desire, by the same objectives as the players, who every Sunday take to the field.
" You are all actors of our adventure “, it has said to the staff of Milanello showing that healthy enthusiasm that it is contagiando also the rest of the company, between which Rino Gattuso . “You to are all actors of our adventure, “ he told the staff that Milanello showing healthy enthusiasm that is infecting the rest of the company, including Rino Gattuso. And on the field, the method Leo previews alone and exclusively job with the football. And on the field, the method provides for Leo only work with the ball. And it heads all at the speed: short, fast, compact square wants one. And everything on the tip speed: to team wants to short, quick, compact. The targato Milan Leonardo it will be based on the imprevedibilità and the race. The feather in Milan Leonardo will be based on the imprevedibilità and the race. “ I thought that to begin endured with the football it was less impegnativo and tiring, is true exactly the contrary, nevertheless I am one that has always run, since the times of Zeman ", it has confessed Alexander Nesta , than after the difficult year it seems to have recovered. “I thought that start with the ball to were less demanding and tiring, it is true the opposite, but the have to course that has always, since the Time of Zeman, “ said Alexander Nesta, and after the difficult years seems to have recovered. Hour for the defender the true test in order to understand if it has totally recovered will be in the United States, when it will play many contests. If Galliani is serious about Fabiano being the only transfer target, then I think a very disappointing season awaits us. we'll be lucky to survive CL's group stages, and finish top 4 in the league.
I thought next season would be a fresh start. I thought we were actually going to buy 'a very important and great attacker'... all lies.

we've basically lost two of our 3 or 4 most important players and don't even want find some proper replacements for them. pathetic.

It's not about Huntelaar or Fabiano. it's about the club's dire financial situation. we sold Kaka and want to replace him with Fabiano? this is unbelievable!!
i honestly don't think Fabiano is kaka's replacement i think whether kaka stayed or not we would of signed a center forward who could hold up the ball and score headers but i think we want to gamble on Ronaldinho because berlu believes in him or something
