Only time will tell what the management is planning. At this point, no one knows what they're planning for next season. We still don't know what kind of tactics Leonardo will deploy and what kind of players he needs. Surely, he's not gonna be content with they way things are.
amancik
I think we should go for Lorenzo De Silvestri, I've seen him played a couple of times and I think he'd make a decent addition to our full-back ranks.

AC Milan are reinforcing in defense: this is Criscito
Takes shape the new feather in Milan Leonardo. After the engagement (already happened months ago) by Thiago Silva, this is now a more important part in the defense of rossoneri: Mimmo Criscito.

As learned from calciomercato.com, Galliani has explicitly gone over and over in Sweden, where the Under 21 competing in the European category, to speak directly with the boy.

if this true, it would be great news for milan

Marchetti signs for Cagliari
Tuesday 30 June, 2009
Cagliari have bought the other 50 per cent of Federico Marchetti from Albinoleffe, according to his agent.

The 26-year-old goalkeeper joined Cagliari last season in a part-ownership deal and he proved to be a revelation.

His performances attracted the attention of Italy Coach Marcello Lippi, who awarded him his first full cap last month.

“In the last few days we have reached an economic agreement with Cagliari for the acquisition of the second half of the player, so he is now entirely Cagliari's player.” Nicola Bignotti said.

“I believe that the deal will be ratified in the next few hours.”

The news puts an end to rumours linking Marchetti with a move to Milan, who again had problems between the sticks last season.

Milan Focus Sights On Sevilla's Luis Fabiano & Real Madrid's Huntelaar – Report

Both of them ahead of Adebayor for me. considering that Fabiano's price has gone up a lot after his decent CC performances, Adebayor's ridiculous price tag and also the fact that we finally sold our star to Real and will be the first club to be informed of any outgoing Madrid players, I think Huntelaar is the most likely of all to arrive. I really hope it is gonna be him.
kurtsimonw
We can't sign them, we have no money, unless we're going to give them free Maldini stickers instead or something.

Given those 3 options, I would really prefer Huntelaar as well. cool.gif
I also think its the most realistic of the choice of those listed.

out of those three i would want Huntelaar too !!

It does not matter how good they are if they are never given a chance. I truly hope Leo is not going to be like Ancelotti and give the best of these kids some fair chances to shine.

Albertazzi, Zigoni, Beretta, Strasser, Ikande and Oluamadi will be first team members next season (according to Galli) and I hope to see them play now and then, especially the first three!

I think we could get Huntelaar for about 15m which is reasonable and not out of our current range. The priceless Maldini stickers are not going to be used unless we go bankrupt, we would not have sold Kaka otherwise.
Jack Sparrow
^^ 15 mill? I think not. I think what's more likely is for us to get him on a loan with option. We've earned enough goodwill from Madrid for that.

Not to mention Perez(or was it Galliani) admitting that one of the clauses was a first option on all Madrid players.

Looks like Benzema has moved to Madrid looks ever more likely Huntelaar might leave i hope to us if anywhere !!

How good is Huntelaar on a scale of 1-10...I really haven't seen him score...Is he just a goal scorer or he actually has skills because i've really not seen him play...is he skillful? Now Madrid has gotten Benzema...i feel so jealous of them...only if we had as much money as they did...They'll have a very good first team and bench....they can also rotate the players...La Liga would be fun to watch next season...

Milan make Crouch approach
Wednesday 1 July, 2009
Reports in Italy suggest Milan have turned to Peter Crouch after hitting problems for Edin Dzeko and Emmanuel Adebayor.
The Rossoneri have stated their primary targets for the summer transfer market, but both the Wolfsburg hitman and Arsenal striker appear to be beyond their financial reach.

According to Studio Sport, Crouch is the next name on the list, especially as he would fit in with the new 4m Euro salary cap at San Siro.

The England international is also of interest to Liverpool and Wolfsburg, but any move is delayed by problems at Portsmouth.

Until the club chooses its manager for next season, Crouch’s future and any transfer decisions are on the backburner.

The 28-year-old stands at a remarkable 6’7” and would therefore solve Milan’s dire lack of aerial power in the box.

Former boss Carlo Ancelotti, now at Chelsea, had requested a tall centre-forward to make the most of the crosses rained into the box, but Marco Borriello was injured early on and Adebayor’s move failed to materialise.

It’s believed new Coach Leonardo is sticking with a similar tactic and insists on a player who cal fill that role.

Crouch is well-travelled, having played for Tottenham, APR, Aston Villa. Norwich City, Southampton, Liverpool and Portsmouth.

He hopes to impress in Serie A and the Champions League with Milan to consolidate his England spot ahead of the 2010 World Cup and could well reunite with David Beckham in January.

Because that's just what we need, another English has-been using us to get back onto the national team. dry.gif

we are just linked with him by the stupid press because they looooovvveeee making up stories. He's not even a target. Its all just pure fabrication and pay no attention to it. Galliani already told you who were going after if dzeko broke down.

Right now we are going after huntelaar and fabiano. Braida is in spain talking with sevilla right now. If that proves too expensive we'll sign huntelaar if not we'll go after someone else. We have up to 30 million to spend on a striker so i'm 100% sure someone who is very good will come.

Everyone relax. The market just opened and we'll sign our striker shortly. By next week i'm assuming he'll be announced.

it'll happen i'm quite sure of it.

These things will happen this summer:

We will sign about 7-8 players.

We will sign a very good foreward and a good defender.

We'll sign one decent midfielder.

We'll spend approx 60-70 million euros this summer, I have no doubt about that.

7-8 players? Counting all the primavera guys we had to buy again for triple the price we got in the co-ownership deals?

No midfielders will be coming in, unless we sell Pirlo/Rino and that's just staying in the same waters

I'm certain a forward will come but whether he's good enough its still up in the air. I'm holding out hope for Fabiano or Huntelaar. Because if they spend 30m on a dud like Adebayour, I swear I'll bash my head into a wall.

That good defender you speak of I can't personally see coming. We desperately need a LB, but after the Cissokho dilemma I don't see that happening anytime soon...

We'll spend approx 40m next season 25 of those will go to a forward, the rest will be thrown away on buying our own players back off co-ownership rolleyes.gif

The notion that Milan have 80m to spend because of the Yoann/Kaka sales needs to be forgotten. Most of that money has already gone into taking Milan out of the red because Silvio does not want to anymore. So in reality Milan don't even have half of that to spend on transfers

I know it's the Sun reporting, but if the club can go as far as selling Kaka, they can do the same with Pato. I mean it's not an outright impossibility, is it?

If we sell Pato as well, I for one will not have much desire to carefully follow Milan anymore...
Jack Sparrow
They won't sell Pato. They needed money. They have it. They can't do anything just sitting on more money. You can't find anyone to replace Pato now. Business wise, they know it's much better to keep Pato for another 5 or 6 years and then perhaps consider selling him. The Kaka sale was a ruthless way to balance books and now that's done, they can go back to running the club.

This is just English media trying to insist that English clubs still have purchasing power. They've been a bit taken aback I guess. Chelsea not buying. Manchester sitting on nearly 100 million Euros, and all they've got is Valencia. Aww cr@p. rolleyes.gif
han2503
I think that any news coming from the British press should be concidered as rubbish.

They want to big money move coming into the Premier league. And Carlo going for his old stars is the easy story to print out.

I personally believe that Pato isn't anywhere close to Carlo's thoughts for the transfer market, he has Anelka and Drogba. That's Carlo's wet dream right there.

And he'll sooner go for Pirlo or Rino before Pato.

But Pato is the cool player in Milan so obviously its more interesting to write stories about how Carlo is determined to get him. I just love how the Spanish are upstaging everything that the Premier League teams are doing. So far no big move has occured in England aside from losing Ronaldo and their press is desperate for something to happen.

Also one of the directors of Fininvest has talked about things, saying that Milan won't be sold, also that with the sale of Kaka all the financial problems have been cleared up...

Personally I cannot see anymore important players leaving. And hopefully we'll have everything straightened out in 2 years time so we don't have to sell Pato or any other big players in the future (wishful thinking here)

7-8 new players. I consider abate and gennaro new players. Players moving up from prim are not considered new since they were already at the club last season.

Mark my words, 1 very good CF, 1 good defender, 1 decent mid.
