Here's a new one.

Italian daily Il Giornale is reporting that Milan are taking a look at Japanese defender Tulio Tanaka. He plays for Urawa Red Diamonds in the J-league and for Japan's NT. Cost estimated at around 5mln.
CrazyMilanFan
havent got a clue abt this jpn guy but all i know is that we need to replace maldini and nesta ( probably) and getting unknown wont help
gal_kenny
Santacroce and Thiago..young and very good..good for the next 9-10 years...We should sign Santacroce..

I noticed in Pato's interview is he was quite clear as to the defender he's had most trouble with. Santacroce is the only defender until now I've seen actually stop Pato's threat and for me that's the greatest indication to suggest how good he actually is.

Pato explained it clearly - it needs to be Santacroce in the summer smile.gif

I'm hoping very much!!!
whoarethepatriots
I quite like Santacroce too, but Napoli would be very reluctant to sell him, especially to a direct Serie A rival

yes, remember him from last year, he is tactically really good and he can put down any ball with wich pirlo hit him and he will put them down to Kaka and Pato. We will get a fantastic striker and we will get pirlo back, and we will use 100% of kaka and pato which will score a lot more. Yes i think he is worth 30M!

Well you know nothing!!

Just kidding... for the record, I personally would not pay more than 15m for him.

Yes get him so when I go to live in Japan they will be broadcasting all Milan games! biggrin.gif

I don't care who but I hope with all my heart that a very good CB arrives in the summer. unfortunately, I'm not too sure if that will happen.

Dont worry man, Galliani has promised Carlo A top class CB. If he doesn't deliver on his word, carlo said he'd walk out.
gal_kenny
For next season

Goal Keeper: Abbiatti, Dida, Kalac (considerating that no keeper would be changed)
Defenders: Mattioni, Zambrotta, Bonera, Nesta, Thiago Silva, Santacroce, Kaladze, Albertazzi, Darmian (don't want him to be loaned out but seem possible) Jankulovski, Antonini, Maxwell
Midfielder: Abate, Gattuso, Pirlo, flamini, Gourcuff, Ambrosini, Seedorf(the day he'll leave milan, that'll be my happiest day), Strasser, Cardaccio
Attacking Midfield: Kaka, Ronnie, Viudez
Striker: Pato, Borriello, Dzeko, Inzaghi, Paloschi (could be loaned out again...next yr i think Inzaghi would retire). Rossi won't hurt at all!!

This is a young team...Combination of young, experienced, and a few old!!!
aLbErTo
i read in one article (interview) that dzeko's favorite clubs are wolfsburg and milan...

I've seen him play for his national side against Australia a few times not a bad player but certainly does not have the X factor.

Probably on par with the average Italian defender in Serie A

Wish we could afford Ivanovic. he looks good whenever I watch him play for Cheslea. but I think we'll have to be content with Canna or Panucci. I can't see us spending big on a good, -29yo defender.

Maybe I'm being too pessimistic, but it's not my fault... our transfer activities in the past couple of transfer windows indicates that there's a better chance of signing either Canna or Panucci than say a Carvalho or Ramos/Pepe.
Tennie
There's been buzz about Dzeko in the Italian press for a few days. Not sure if it'll come ot anything but it's there.
gal_kenny
Yea, Dzeko would be a pleasure to have....What is this i hear about Cagliari Coach Allegri trying to take over Milan!!!
dst
We need to sign Puyol! I always liked him at CB and he's proved he's better on the wing than most natural WB's, I love this guy! He's said in the past that if he would ever leave Barcelona his choice would be Milan but I can't see him leaving, not now anyway... he would be just perfect. sleep.gif

Reported by Marca (...) and posted on goal.com (...). Madrid are looking to offload all their Dutch players except for Huntelaar (who by the way would have been the best partner for Pato in my view but anyway). Now I love my Dutch players and I think we should go for either van der Vaart or Sneijder to replace Seedorf if we don't bring Gourcuff back.
Fillipo Simone
My opinion on Sneijder isn't high, IMO he's just too moody. He just can't line up at least a few consistently good performances, even on big tournaments for Holland. That's why I think he's not for us.

Are you sure-all dutsch guys? Even RvN? Not that I want him, just being curious...
dst
No I don't like all of them. Of course there are exceptions but generally I'm pro-Dutch.

Of course you don't like all of them, gee, who could like MvBommel or Dirk Kuijt?

sorry, i have to smerk at this. if this is your rating of sneijder, then how do you possibly defend seedorf?

Do I? Well, it's more then obvious. There's a difference in being a world-class player who's become lazy and rusty, and then there's the some who never was a world-class player at first place. You honestly thin Sneijder reached Seedorf's Real or early Milan level in any of the seasons he played so far?
Bluesummers
According To french magazine, France Football, Sevilla have jumped the bandwagon for Gourcuff's signature. The management at Sevilla has said they are interested in him for a replacement in their midfield. Along with Real Madrid, Chelsea, and Sevilla. That is 4 clubs now interested in this kid.

I wouldn't put his name right to MvB's. no one is as unpleasant as the latter.

You mean van Bommel!? Cause there's only one MvB and I don't think anyone could feel that way about him... unsure.gif

Guus Hiddink Affirms Chelsea Exit; Milan Coach Carlo Ancelotti Offered Deal – Report
Milan's head coach could earn in excess of €5.5 million each year at Stamford Bridge. He is strongly tipped to replace the departing Guus Hiddink in the summer...

According to a report in the British tabloid The Sun, Milan head coach Carlo Ancelotti is almost certain to take over as Chelsea manager at the end of the season, with Guus Hiddink resuming his role as head coach of the Russian national team.

"I have a formal contract with Russia and it is very important for me to stick by my word," Hiddink is quoted as saying.

"The moral standards in our business sometimes go up and down but I want to see my commitments wholeheartedly through to the end.

"I owe something to the Russia players. If I were to end a contract that had not yet expired, they could blame me for not standing by my own values.

"I could help as Chelsea boss this season because Russia only had two games. But next season Russia have a friendly in August and a very tough sequence of qualifying matches in September and October.

"Then there is also the chance they will be involved in the play-offs so the situation becomes impossible."

Apparently, an inside source in Italy has revealed details of the contract offered to Ancelotti by Chelsea.

It is claimed he has been handed an annual salary of €5.5 million (£5m) after tax, plus bonus payments of €1.1m (£1m) for each trophy he brings to Stamford Bridge.

It is said that the man who has always been Blues owner Roman Abramovich's preferred long-term successor to Luiz Felipe Scolari will struggle to turn down such a deal and should become the next Chelsea manager this summer.

Fake or not? You decide...

I hope he takes this deal, but realistically not going to happen.

Diawara to Gourcuff: "If you return to Milan you lose your career
"

The current fellow team Yoann Gourcuff, the defender Diawara, recommends to the midfielder to not return to Milan. He also hopes Bordeaux makes Gourcuff's stay permanent as soon as possible. "If we qualify for the Champions, we must invest - he tells Aujourd'hui Sport - and the first investment must be Yoann Gourcuff. Personally, I think, for him, it would be a mistake to return to Milan. He is unlikely to recieve playing time there, and since he is going to the World Cup in 2010, it would be a better career move to stay where he gets more playing time... In short, leaving Bordeaux will penalize him. " Fortunately, the last word lies with Yoann, who would, Milan permitting, return to play with his good friend Kakà and the rest of his Milan companions.

I hate posting news like this but I have to. We need to tell gourcuff he will be getting playing time and tell seedorf to get the f*** on the bench.

ok you wanna call him up tongue.gif
dst
Gourcuff is guaranteed a starting place in Bordeaux but sooner or later he'll have to make the jump... I believe Milan suits him perfectly and he suits perfectly to Milan but if Ancelotti stays with us for next season and things truly are not well between them then it obviously is not going to happen.

We will find a player to take over from Seedorf eventually but it's always sad to lose one you already have...
Fillipo Simone
I don't think he suits perfectly for Milan, but okay, yes, he sure should get a new chance here.
dst
Well how much he fits is a matter of details. Whether those details will work on his favor no one knows but he surely deserves another chance.
vnata001
right at this very moment, i am watching santos vs. palmeiras. Not because i love the paulista, but because none other than keirrison and neymar are playing eachother. Should be interesting to see them play, as this is the first time im seeing neymar at all, and the first time i'm watching an entire match of kierrison.

....and sure enough, on cue, as i'm typing this..neymar goes on a pacy run down the left, plays a beautiful ball across the goal mouth that his santos striking partner misses and slides into the post, and then on the palmeiras counter attack kierrison scores. lol. shows nice composure to follow up his initial shot that was stopped, and taps in the rebound with a header.

interesting stuff.
vnata001
geez. neymar, the 17 year old, scores in the derby. gives santos the lead. turns easily away from the CB, fires an early shot from outside the 18, marcos is frozen - side netting. with that said, shocking defending.

Yeah man those kids are the same level as pato. If we sign one of them, our attack will even be stronger. However, there price tag is 30 each so I dont think we can afford them.

I don't think he suits carlo. He is definitely good enough to start for us, but he does not suit what carlo wants of his midfield.
gal_kenny
In that case Carlo needs to go...Well i guess that Galliani and Berlusconi are very very stupid to still have him as Milan's coach!!!!
gal_kenny
How many times do we play bad..Its almost a guaranteed everytime......b/c i gat love for this team, i would've have been out supporting someother team...They are making us suffer!!!

Beats me man, i can't understand the logic either. Here we have Rijkaard who is willing to work under us and bring us a new regime and change our style of play. He is a proven worldclass coach and is an ex member of our club so motivation shouldn't be a problem. But there is something about carlo that berlu and gall just love and even through thick and thin they will keep him.

Not exactly Milan-related, but an interesting transfer-related bit nonetheless.

The new story in Italy (think it's Calciomercato; might be Mediaset) is hypothesizing a switch between Bayern and Juve -- Buffon for Ribery.

Tuttomercatoweb is reporting that Milan have had observers at a recent Wolfsburg game (the one where they hammered Bayern). They weren't sure who the observers were observing -- could've been Barzagli, could have been Dzeko.

Yep, that's always a possibilty. Carlo, Silvio, Adriano, me and a couple of others too being stupid. Could easily turn that way.

Dzeko? Please not Dzeko...Benaglio, Grafite, Barzagli,...all would suit us better.
Zed.D
I don't believe Silvio is pro-Carlo at all.
chrismcb
I can't see Man United wanting Neymar as they've wasted so much money on youngsters who haven't reached their potential-Nani and Anderson. If Ronaldo stays he won't go.

Never heard of either of these players but from what I've heard I'd be happy if we signed these players although we need defensive reinforcements and for Ancelotti to leave, as his time at Milan is up in my opinion.
gal_kenny
How can everyone be saying the same thing..Almost every milan fan says that Carlo should go...There's got to be something wrong that Carlo's been doing....I wish he goes!!!
