With this team we certainly won't win the championship. We can do well in cup competitions because... you know, it's about the night and not a series of games. It's quite clear though that the management do not target any trophies for next season. We are building a team that will be able to compete for trophies in a year or two.

I think we have had an unbelievably amazing transfer window and I say this with all my heart as I believe Ancelotti's departure is the best thing we could have had. For once after 3 or so years I will truly be looking forwarding to Milan's games as there will hopefully be something new to see there other than Carlo's sickeningly predictable formations.

Even sooo

I think Leo needs another 2 players at least in order to help him out a bit. Becuase even if the coach and tactics will be different at the end of the day its still the same players, the same stale midfield etc

No it's not. With Seedorf out of the picture we'll be fine. The big gamble is Ronaldinho... if he really wants to earn a place in Brazil's WC squad we'll be fine!

You and I both know that its not a sure thing that Seedorf won't be a starter next season

And its not like the midfield plays any better when there is Rino/Flamini, Rino/Ambro, Ambro/Flamini both in the midfield
dst
Well all I'm betting on is that Seedorf won't be there... you've seen how incredibly better we play without him... even with two dmf's on.

We are such hypocrites. We complain that Carlo didnt give the youth a chance and now we whine that we are focusing mostly on youth. I think that we should trde Borriello and cash to Samp for Pazzini. Next we should go to Naples and pick up Fabiano Santacroce give them 10 mil. Then we can go look for an out of box striker in the mold of Rossi. Finally bring in Cigarini or Aquiliani and we have a world class italian based side.

Luis Fabiano is a very conscious striker in the last third of the pitch. I am of the opinion that he will be a great asset for us during the coming season. My only worry, if that Ronaldinho does not come through, if that is the case, then it is back to the drawing boards.

But, over and above, as several people already stated it will take two to three years to win something, so I am not setting my hopes up for anything now.

Actually we don't play better when there are 2 DMs, we're stale, slow and no creativity, that's why we struggle to score so much when 2 DMs are on the pitch. Last season when Seedorf was not playing it was usually a DM, Pirlo and Beckham, not 2DMs and Pirlo, that made a BIG differance.

I dislike having Seedorf on the pitch just as much as you do but if it comes down to choosing a 2nd DM or Seedorf I'd choose Seedorf any day of the week. That's why I want another quality central mid to come in just as much as a striker if not more. Because the midfield is now very limited in terms of creativity. We're full of defensive mids with only Pirlo and Seedorf that are good creatively and sadly Seedorf just does not cut it anymore.

Or who knows maybe next season Seedorf might just actually start playing agian under Leo, now knowing there isn't Carlo anymore to kiss his @ss

Tuttomercatoweb, its listed as official.

Its not mentioned on the official site as I checked it out, so I'm guessing those 2 will only be added to the primavera roster

This is ok, as long as they are going to the primavera then its a good thing, when they start putting them in the first team roster is when it gets problematic

I think you got it wrong here. we didn't say Milan should start with 11 youngsters. we just thought our youngsters (2 or 3 of them) deserved more minutes on the pitch, that's all. or at least that's what I thought. I say neither too young nor too old. be like all other teams, NORMAL!

Personally, I think that we need to invest in our Primavera, as this is the way forward for stability in the future. I think in recent years we've been lacking that quality to come through our youth teams and I think purchasing players for our Primavera will provide a brighter future for Milan. By doing this also gives us some guarentee the likes of Leonardo, Galliani etc are looking to the future so I see this a positive for Milan. We're in the stage of rebuilding our squad and I think by developing our youth team and buying the best youth from around Italy is extremely positive.

Furthermore, there is still over a month left where the transfer window is open, and if we were to buy now we'd have to pay more than at the end when other clubs realise they won't get what they wanted. I think Onyewu is a good capture especially for free, even is he is just covering for T.Silva and Nesta next season , if his performances in the C.C count for anything he looks a far mroe capable defender than Kaladze.

I would prefer Pazzini to Fabiano myself as he is younger and Italian although Fabiano would provide goals as his records have proven. Also i'd be doubtful Pazzini would leave Sampdoria as he only arrived in January. Our midfield is still good enough to compete with anybody else's considering we've got Flamini, Pirlo, Gatusso, Ambrosini. I still wish we kept Gourcuff though. I think we need to purchase another midfielder to give back up to these players.

Regarding the Kaka deal I'm happy this went through, as we coped last eyar without him when he was injured and he hasn't looked like reproducing his previous world class form and I think we should take the money when its offered as we did. Also our wage bill has been dramatically reduced by this and the departure of Emerson.

I think we would have a competitive team if layers are fit and perform well( being the major point), if the rumours of Leanardo playing a 4-3-3 are truen I'd imagine a team like this.

Abbiati
Bonera-Thiago Silva-Nesta-Zambrotta
Flamini-Pirlo-Ambrosini (Only because he's captain but I prefer Gattuso)
Pazzini/Fabiano/-Pato-Borriello/Ronaldinho

I don't think we need alot of players to be competitive although you wouldn't go wrong with a good striker and an Italian midfielder.

They were never really interested in Huntelaar so...

Anyway hopefully the bid will be accepted and we can go on with the transfer market. Not that I'm very excited about Fabiano but the other prospect of signing Adebayour for an infalted ammount scares the cr@p out of me

I think the loan situation would've have been a deal..but not a full blown buy.

As for Fabiano or Adebayor.....neither ring my bell to be honest.

We gotta stay positive, its better than nothing. Now Fabiano is not thattt bad as some people here make him out to be. He is much better than Borriello and can be a great addition to pato for our front line up. Now I know he is not worldclass but he deserves a shot and has at least 4 years of top class football before he is done.

Not saying that Fabiano is bad i meant out of the 3 i preferred Huntelaar wink.gif
As for Borriello i don't think he is as bad as some would have you believe. A season wrecked with injury and a point to prove i think.
just as been mentioned before plenty of movement in the Italian market and some good players moving to just wonder why we are again hoping on 1 player and another Brazilian to boot. sad.gif

Sevilla Coach Manolo Jimenez Confident Of Keeping Luis Fabiano Away From Milan

Sevilla coach Manolo Jimenez hopes his side can hold on to Luis Fabiano, but concedes that the striker may not be able to resist Milan's overtures.

Fabiano seems to edge closer to the San Siro every day, but Jimenez still believes Sevilla can hold on to him.

He told Marca, "Luis Fabiano is an important piece of our team.

"When I first arrived here, I said that he was a great player. The only thing I want is that he stays with us.

"If he leaves, it will be because it was impossible for us to keep him."

Jimenez then said that he understood Fabiano's interest in the Rossoneri, continuing, "It is understandable that he is interested in going to Milan, but he is a Sevilla player.

"I have spoken with him and he knows that big clubs are interested in him, but Sevilla is also a big club. He is very calm and wants to make the right decision.

"If he goes to Milan he is not guaranteed to fit in, but he knows how valued he is here."

Fabiano has been at Sevilla for four seasons, scoring 73 goals in that time.

I think what the media are forgetting is that we can only buy 1 non EU player. Do either Fabiano or Hernanes have a passport?

If not we won't buy Hernanes, sell Pirlo and be left with a non playable player for the entire season. So I think its all BS. And I hope that Pirlo will stay, I think he knows that the EPL is not for him and he won't want to leave.

For playmaker we got dinho and seedorf and up front we got pato and borriello sounds good to me plus we got a secret weapon...Leonardo! His new style of football and teamwork sounds brilliant more one touch passes and movements without the ball its a new era if we get fabiano gd if not watever cuz if we get new players then wait another year until the team get used to playing together...like this we already have players who somewhat understand eachother wich is a lot better.
