AC Milan lost both their matches in the Audi Cup, falling 4-1 to Bayern Munich before being defeated on penalties in the consolation game by Boca Juniors.

Adriano Galliani Denies AC Milan Takeover Plans




With the recent problems Milan have been having on the transfer market, it has been suggested that vice-president Adriano Galliani is planning to take over the club along with a group of Israeli investors.

Current president Silvio Berlusconi is said to be reluctant to make major investments because of his role as Prime Minister of Italy, and does not want to set a bad example during the financial crisis. There have been rumours for some time that he is planning to sell the club.

its nt just about top players, its the whole structure that's failing... scouting for example: i understand we've got several scouts around the world, i thought they were paid to actually scout for decent players. if the management knew ther'd be no cash to splash they should av sent the scouts hunting for decent players at whatever price we can indeed afford rather than shaming us with failed bids here&there. Andrea Pirlo is just a signature away from becoming a Chelsea player after agreeing personal terms with the Premier League side.

According to Milan-based paper Il Giornale, the Italian international has been offered a four-year deal worth €6 million-per-season - the same amount he earns with the Rossoneri.

Roman Abramovich will also pay Milan between €18m and €20m for the player, who is dearly wanted by Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti.
