Everyone think this way of Milan. Let's all open our eyes and accept the fact that Milan is not what it's used to be. A football club cannot stand on it's own. Berlusconi does not want to invest anymore? Then he should sell up. Simple as that

Wake up people! Everyone is seeing it! Admitting that Milan has been going slightly down over recent years doesn't make you less of a Milan fan if that is what you guys are afraid of, it just means we are aware of what has been taking place. Open your eyes and accept the facts! It is then your choice to decide whether you still want to be a fan of the club it is today or keep disregarding the present, live on past and then in the future when we overcome this downturn again (hopefully) we look back and say 'oh, well once again Milan has shown that it is a great club and has overcame the bad times once again'.

That's fine, being optimistic and all, but quit thinking nothing has changed. We are no longer in a TOP club status, we can regain that after this season should things really turn around for us [...and I mean really turn around, because we have been really inconsistent and mediocre in recent times, with a rare WOW here and there].
But thinking that we are fine as we are, and getting upset when people voice their sadness, anger & depression towards the situation is foolish!

Pato: It's Milan's decision

Alexandre Pato looks set to turn down the offer from Chelsea to remain with Milan, confirmed his agent.

“Pato had a meeting with Milan and it is the club that decides on the future of a player,” Gilmar Veloz told Telelombardia this evening.

Carlo Ancelotti had wanted Pato to come to Chelsea with him and the Brazilian said he would “listen” to what the London club had to say.

“I will speak with Ancelotti before deciding on my future,” said the young striker earlier this week.

It looks as if Milan will refuse to release Pato, but it remains to be seen whether he will earn a pay rise as part of the deal.

“This is not a problem we will talk about in public,” added agent Veloz. “The contract is an issue between us and a private matter for the player.”

So he's only staying because we won't let him go? What happened to 'we won't keep a player who doesn't want to play for Milan'?

Football clubs aren't profitable business's and have never been. In the past, when berlusconi needed Milan, he bankrolled Milan and there wasn't a problem but now he no longer needs Milan for popularity and so the club has been left to struggle on it's own. Perhaps he should just sell Milan to someone who has the clubs best interest at heart!?!?!

Kaka is still pretty young and still has market value, something that the others that "shouldn't be on the team" lack.

Personally, I think his sale was inevitable because of his slump in form over the past two seasons coupled with his high $175K-a-week wages. He was clearly getting burned out here and change of scenery was definitely in the cards somewhere down the line; Milan just merely expedited the process.

We'd have a much harder time moving the lesser guys, anyway, which some don't seem to understand.
