Soltanto Kakà raggiungerà i propri connazionali venerdì.

Oh, I found it! but it's just a friendly game, I don't think Pato will eventually get this number. though I'd be completely happy to see him wearing #7.

I think he will. They don't just randomly assign numbers to players at Milan (with the possible exception of retired guys coming back for testimonials). Plus the article that Armisse so kindly posted - which is also from the club website - states quite clearly that today before training, Pato was presented with the #7 jersey.

َAh, there it is. I don't know Italian but that's quite obvious, "rossonera numero 7"... well, I'm glad! hope he's mature enough to stand the pressure of wearing this shirt.

Carletto proud of Pato
Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti has spoken of his delight at Brazilian starlet Alexandre Pato’s debut goal last night against Dinamo Kiev.
The young striker turned 18 this week and celebrated by making his maiden appearance in the Rossonero shirt in a friendly to mark the Ukranian champions’ 80th anniversary.
Pato found the net after 45 minutes when he nodded home from a Daniele Bonera cross and he played a full 90 minutes in a 2-2 draw.
“Alexandre played very well and immediately showed his quality,†Ancelotti told the Milan Channel. “You can see that he is a talented player with and without the ball.
“All he needs to do is gain experience as he is so quick, agile and cunning. Aerial balls aren’t his speciality, but he netted from a header.
“He can do anything in attack as he reads the game well and comes to get the ball.â€
Pato’s strike partner Alberto Gilardino was also on target to lay to rest a miserable period that has seen him jeered by Milan fans and his future at the club called into question.
“It’s always nice to score, even in a friendly,†the ex-Parma man grinned. “We played well and Pato integrated quickly. He’s a great player with so much technical ability for his age.â€
Gila’s poor start to the season has already cost him his place in the squad for Italy’s key Euro 2008 qualifier against France tomorrow, with teammate Pippo Inzaghi favoured if Luca Toni is unfit.

Don't you love that part where Pato controls the ball down, holds onto it and get 's past 3 players, passes it to Gila and Gila of course falls down and loses out. LEARN FROM THE 17 YEAR-OLD(back then) DUCK!

Here's something I picked out from an article on the official website. Galliani talking about the striker situation:
"...not to forget about Pato. At Milanello they can’t have gone insane and the reports I’m getting from the sporting center on this striker are extraordinary.â€

If he can play the way he played in that Dinamo game, and perform under pressure in Serie A. Then he is set to have a bright future at Milan

I don't know about others, but I'm pretty sure Pato will come for good. because the management and coach all have shown great faith in him and will give him plenty of time, more than Pato himself could imagine. he won't have much problem adapting in I think, he will know there's always a second chance if he fails in the first and this will help him a lot from mental pov. I expect him to be a regular starter [and scorer] from the start of 2008/2009.

The hype around Pato still continues. Kaka and Cafu have tried to play down this hype, but they don't know they're just adding to it by talking about him so consistently. almost every week, there's something said about Pato on Milan's official website. I hope these talks don't put pressure on him; I really want him to be the next big thing in the world football.

He'll mature soon enough. Look at Kaka', at the age of 25, and he seems like he is at his mid 30s. Milan have a great environment, a clam and relaxed atmosphere for everyone to work in harmony without any outside pressure.
