OMG, you people... since when shaving head is a questionable thing?!!!! ffs, you can't be serious...
I would say, since he's a footballer, less hair = less distractions. I find what he's done a sign of commitment! it seems he would rather focus on football than be a fashion model. something many of his teammates, even Kaka, are.
@ Miz
Strange was what Beckham did to his hair all these years. even Dida carving strange patterns on his head. there's nothing strange about a footballer shaving his head.

Can't speak for others on this one, zeddie, but for myself, I think Pato looks
better with the hobbit style hair (as in your avatar). The shaved head...just doesn't work for him. (and yeah, it scares Fishdoll).

Of course he does, that's not the point. the overreactions are the point. he's now doing
questionable things, he's a partyboy maroon who can't keep it in his pant (I don't even know what all that means!), he's misled by fame and money, blah blah. (no disrespect intended)
Maybe it's just me but I don't care much that he's shaved his head. and if it means he will score more goals, for example, I'd gladly take it. maybe I went a little 'he looked better but whatever...' but that's it. I can't see how one could jump to such conclusions as those mentioned above based on a shaved head though!...

I don't think so, but even if it was, that's not the right way to say it IMO. it's generalization, no exceptions about the current Brazilians are made:
Not too long ago, our Brazilian contingent were a quartet - since halved - of role models. Since then, we've hosted a bunch of partyboy maroons (don't think I need to name names) who can't keep it in their pants, with only one of them having produced anything on the pitch on a consistent basis.PS. I wonder who's the one single Brazilian who's produced anything on a regular basis, because I know of at least two.

zeddie, with respect, I think you're being a wee bit defensive.
I'm not Miz but the way I interpret her comment is that Cafu/Sergio/Dida (pre-Celtic) and Kaka were all role models - and that I agree with.
Ronaldo and Ronaldinho as partyboys? Agree with that too.
Only one producing on a consistent basis? Depends on whether she's referring to Ronaldo and Ronaldinho or the current lot. If it's the former, then it would be Ronaldinho. If it's Pato/Kaka, I'd say she's referring to Pato. Kaka has been wildly inconsistent this year and nowhere near his best form (though he seems to be getting there finally).

Thanks for the explanation

I still find the generalization in that post (the 2nd sentence) quite unfair, and untrue. ah well, let's forget about it.
//
[Since you asked it in the match thread,] I'm not being defensive. maybe as you said just a little bit which is normal (I should use more smileys. the lack of smileys make my posts look more defensive and angry than they are sometimes!). it has happened with anyone on this forum before. even Miz would react if someone unfairly criticized Dida

Fishdoll reads minds.

And I was definitely referring to Pato as the one who produces for us on the pitch on a consistent basis.
That post was more of a reaction of Pato's odd (haircut) and irresponsible behavior (the webcam thing) over the past week and a half.

I've only seen a few censored stills from it on R&B and Xtratime. One of the stills showed him wearing a Milan shirt.
There was an entire thread dedicated to the incident on Xtratime, but it was later removed. Let's just say it's, er, pretty lascivious. I haven't watched it unless I never want to sleep again for the rest of my life.
Oh, and Zed, there's no need to overreact to my overreactions, because my overreactions are not overreactions for someone else to overreact over. Plus, I never overreact to things that aren't worth overreacting over. Okay?

My fault. I'd heard this some while back. Time passes by and a lot seemed to have happened since then. Pato coming out with comments about Kaka staying, Carlo staying, going to marry Sthefany etc. I guess that's what I mean. Not exactly the wisdom of years as the statement sounded.

I think it was the other way around, Kurt -- the webcam thing went public and then he came out with the 'i want to get married' interview.
I'm not particularly upset by the whole thing (though Fishdoll's eyes are still bleeding); Pato's a 19 year old and (no offense to anyone who may be 19) 19 year olds do stupid things sometimes.

He's a 19 year old kid, we all do stupid things, just not all of us are famous footballers and have those stupid things we do aired out in public.
I don't see any reason to lose respect for him over this. I would lose respect if he was doing drugs or becomes another Adriano.

There was very little mention of it in the Italian media, zeddie. Lots in Brazil though.
