I've said numerous times before I want our medical staff completely overhauled. But none of them are Pato, they don't know how he feels, only he does. If he keeps coming back and getting re-injured, then that's partly on him.

huh.gif

OK, whatever.
X-Offender
Pato will keep getting injured wherever he goes. He's f*cked up in that aspect. Can't say the same about Boateng and the others.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Kaka was getting injured quite a lot at Milan and now he's better.

Come again? Kaka's been the most injured player at Real in the past two years. Not to mention he's not even half the player he used to be anymore. He used to get injured often at Milan only in his last two years. We were all crying ourselves when the club sold him, but now I see the genius in that deal.

I wanted to say he's better now on the aspect that he's not getting injured as much as when he was at Milan. Yes, he still has problems with injuries, which have affected his performances quite much.
From what I read he had some cronic injury in his knee and it's very hard to recover from that. And I'm still hoping that we Pato can get on the right track.

How exactly is he better? He's had one setback after another in the past couple of years. And if you take a look at statistics, he's always played more than 30 games per season in Serie A with Milan. At Madrid, he's only reached the 25 games mark, and that was in his first season. Last season he played only 14 games. He's a regular bench player nowadays, and he doesn't even get called up in the national team anymore. He used to be much better at Milan in terms of injuries and performances.

Pato's got a huge potential. Personally, if he doesn't succeed at Milan, I don't mind him doing it somewhere else. He needs a change of environment to recover from this situation and pressure, it ain't helping him.

No, I know that. You see, I come from the year 2036, and I already know what will happen to Pato.

Pato has missed 50 matches for Milan due to injuries since the start of 2010. He's expected to miss 4 matches because of his latest injury.

Maybe it's because he's fairly quick and that's Pato's main strength.

Milanello just posted it on twitter. I never heard this statement before, but it could be. I just wanted to share it here.

I remember when everyone would wet themselves at the mention of him...

He's at Parma now? Did not know this.

13 injuries since 2010 and missed 50 matches - Alex Pato sad.gif

Rossoneri7
Well, this certainly does feel like Pato's last season with us. He'll most likely reunite with Carlo in the summer.

We have a strong frontline and Pato is just a luxury when you consider the potential upfront. Cash him in and now while his value is high, especially considering his contract expires in 2 years, its for the best i guess.

PS: I do believe Pato will explode on the scenes when he leaves Milan, then again he might just dissapear like Gourcuff, Sheva, and Kaka have in recent years? Wish him all the best though
Zed.D
I wish we'd send him to the US or Brazil for a while before deciding anything though.

His contract will be an obstacle, i believe, if the club doesnt act this summer. As much as it hurts deep down to say this, but it should be for the best interests of the club.

His contract is the least of the problems. Pato I think would want to stay at Milan. Giving up and running to the French league would be his last resort most likely. So renewing it would be easily done.

The problem has always been the injuries. And if they are considering sending him to the US, then obviously they haven't given up on him either. And if they continue stalling on sending him for a second oppinion then he should do what Kaka and Ronaldo did when Milanlab could not give them any answers, he should go the Brazil NT doctors and see what they have to say. I remember them blasting the Milan doctors on the Kaka case saying that he was mistreated, I wouldn't doubt that being the case with Pato as well.

LOL, what? Pato had already decided to sign for PSG, and if it wasn't for Berlusconi's intervention, he'd be playing in France right now. I suppose the thought of reuniting with Carlo and Leonardo is too strong an incentive for him. Also, so what if he will play in a less important league? The guy is only 22. Three years there, and if things go well, all big clubs would want to sign him. It's the best solution for both Pato and us. Things just can't stay the way they are.
Zed.D
As much as it sucks to say it, I agree with what X-Off said. unless something miraculous happens between the time he gets back and the end of the season, I can't imagine him being at Milan next season.
acid911
I'll believe it when I see it. mellow.gif I'd say there is 10% chance of him moving, no matter what the media or fans think. The real cause of concern, as plainly obvious, is the amount of injuries. Performance suffers as a result. I'd be more sure of him leaving if he was say 24-25, but there still is time. Time enough? You never know.

And anyway, if we sell him now, forget about 30 million and beyond offers. We'll be lucky to get upwards of 10m.

IIRC Pato was the one to back out.

Silvio did not want to sell him either but Pato was the first to pull out of it.

According to you the best solution for us is Tevez, so I can't really get on board with anything you say in regards to this specific topic wink.gif

Nope, it was 100% Berlusconi. He came out the following day saying it was him who aborted the whole Pato-PSG/Tevez-Milan deal because he though the quality/price ratio wasn't satisfactory.

Yes and I believe all that Silvio says 100% innocent.gif

Pato came out before that and said himself that he wanted to stay at Milan, while Galliani confirmed that Pato did not want to go to PSG so the Tevez deal fell through.

I personally believe it's a combination of both. Sort of like the Kaka to City issue with Silvio flying in on his magic carpet to save the day, when we all knew that it was mostly Kaka who rejected the move as Milan were ready to jump at that money like a pack of hungry hyenas

I can see that rolleyes.gif

At this point it's not selling him per se that I don't want to see happening, it's the replacement puke.gif

If I knew that we'd spend that money on say, going after Goetze. I'd be all in as at this point we're one striker short since our medical team + injury prone players don't mix. But to go after Tevez is what disgusts me, and as we all know, what you want.

Why is that?

If we really do get the amount that is being thrown around for Pato than imo we should be covered to get him.
Fillipo Simone
I don't think so. I've been following Dortmund closely, they are ambitious, and don't want to loose track of Bayern like they did in recent history after early successes. But more importantly, their management is only prepared to give him away for big money - the wait for United, Madrid, Barcelona. England being constantly mentioned as Götze's preferred destination. All that makes me think it's almost impossible.

Well I really don't think Dortmund will be able to keep him, just like they couldn't keep Sahin.

So it's only a matter of where he will go. And I don't see Man U breaking any banks to sign him. They'll probably go for the cheaper Sneijder.

As for Madrid and Barca. I don't get how he would fit into either team, especially since they both have top class options (several of them) in his position. Maybe Real would be willing to sell Ozil if they got him. I'd settle for that...
Fillipo Simone
Well, I really don't think Götze is up for a Milan change. Arsenal has been mentioned earlier on, United may be knocking on the door (Sneijder is injury prone), and you always have City and Chelsea. Trust me, I don't see this guy joining any Italian club.

Firstly he [also] said he thought Pato was a great player blah blah and that's why he blocked the move, in case you have forgotten.

Secondly, it's typical Berlu. when we pulled out of Kaka>City deal he came out and said the same on a TV show and sent everyone cheering, making himself the hero in all that. turned out it was just Kaka refusing to sign for City and he was sold to Madrid anyway. I believe what Galliani and Pato say before I believe anything that lying politician says. you can believe what you want.

Visiting is one thing, being treated for a few months is another. I don't remember Pato going under any rehabilitation in the US like Nesta did for his back.

Ronaldo in particular seemed to always get his fitness back up in Brazil then they would come to Milan and all hell would break loose dry.gif

All in all something is eerily wrong at Milanello's medical facility. I remember we used to be so good other teams would bring their players here to get fixed sad.gif

Pato and Inzaghi injuries
By Football Italia staff

Alexandre Pato will fly to America for a specialist consultation on his injury, while Milan lose Pippo Inzaghi for three weeks.

The Rossoneri continue to struggle with an injury crisis and it seems Pato’s on-going muscular problems are not clearing up.

This afternoon the club announced Pato will be flying to Atlanta, Georgia, on Monday with chief medical staff Jean Pierre Meersseman and Bruno Dominici.

“Pato will undergo medical tests and a specialist consultation with Professor Frederick Carrick at the Life University of Marietta.”

Milan also confirmed that veteran hitman Inzaghi suffered a right thigh strain during the Coppa Italia semi-final with Juventus.

“Save for complications, the prognosis is two to three weeks.”

I take that as a good sign (that we might still have faith in him and not sell him right this summer).
