I don't understand, what problem which Galliani said had been sorted out are you talking about? because I was referring to Maldini's farewell game and the Curva's insults, and that was 2009.

I'm puzzled.

@ Danny

While I myself keep saying this Milan-Pato marriage won't work anymore, we have to understand that Pato has just recently put the injury problems behind him. this is the fist time in nearly 3 years that he seems to be able to play without pulling something in his thigh. this recent injury was a knock (TO HIS THIGH no less) but the fact that it didn't do any real damage to him and he'll be back very soon is in fact encouraging.

Problem is he's fragile as glass, and while his latest knock is just that, for me it's a ticking timebomb till a new injury or re-occurrence of an old one.

I love the guy almost as much as you, and nothing would please me more than him realising his potential and proving me wrong.

But chance would be a fine thing.

We will see.
Zed.D
I'm not saying he won't get injured anymore. but they seem to be happening at a much slower pace now.

It's now up to him from now on. I hope he shows a bit more will and determination instead of complaining about Allegri at the first given chance. he may be right to be unhappy with Allegri's treatment, but he should act like a professional, keep his head down and work hard. I hope Allegri doesn't do a Ronaldinho to him, though.

The thing is we don't know which ultra faction in the Curva Sud pulled that stunt. Could be the brigate, the tigre..I dunno. X-Off might know more.

From the looks of it, I don't think that was the Curva Sud at all.

Here. Unfortunately the hosting site seems to have taken down the letter where Tennie had posted the response. I used to have it on my PC, which unfortunately is not with me at the moment.

Oh, I knew you were pulling a fast one. dry.gif laugh.gif That thread is from 2007, the time when I joined. And like you, I too have the scanned image saved somewhere on my old PC. If luck is on my side, I will see to it that I upload it. But really, for a fleeting second I thought you were talking about current times, Galliani mailed you like last week.

I think they're being unfair to Pato.

He's been through hell with this club. And don't tell me it's not the club's fault because his issues all stem from the way in which his body has been treated by this club from day 1!

And now for our mediocre coach to not play him so he can play Boateng as a right winger or CF FFS it's pretty ridiculous and Pato cannot be blamed if he wants to talk to his agent so his team and the club can come to an understanding about his position at Milan. I personally don't see what he said as an intent to leave but him wanting to air things out with Galliani mostly as he clearly doesn't have a very good relationship with Allegri
Fillipo Simone
Hell? I wouldn't say hell. I really don't think the club is responsible for him. Surely, the doctors could have been better maybe, but the main fault is his body constitution. Allegri shares some of this responsibility as well. But saying he's gone through hell with us is really too much.

I think it is hell because you are trusting your health and care in the hands of the club. And it is hell to be so great one day and return a year later after injury on top of injury and you can't find your feat again.

I think for a prefessional player it has to be one of the worst feelings when you can't even trust your body anymore.

His physical composition was holding up just fine before they started messing around with his physique by trying to bulk him up.

He never used to get injured in his first 2 seasons, at least not with muscle injuries.
Zed.D
There's no doubt the club (MilanLab, fitness coaches, whatever) was at fault for his problems, but it seems he will have to worry less about injuries as he seems to be somehow cured (maybe not fully but he's not the player that couldn't last 10 minutes in a game anymore). it's now up to him to show character and win his place back. I know it's hard with Allegri being as stubborn as an @ss sometimes, but I hope he tries.

He was fit these last few weeks. He only took a knock in the Anderlecth game after a very heavy challenge on him. And I don't think he was played too much, yes we were dependant on him during the Leo season when the first issues started to crop up but you have to see how his injuries were treated then and if he was being pushed too soon then once again, you have to look at the medical and fitness treatment he was receiving from the club doctors.

When ever i think of Pato this goal comes to mind , hope to have him back soon !

Indeed. If I'm not wrong, it was also one of his last goals prior to the infinitive injury calvary of last season.

And he has played 5 games in the past month, starting 4 of them. It's not like he's not playing. I think Allegri is managing him fairly. He's hardly been great when he starts, certainly not to warrant being picked for every game. I mean Pazzini has only started 1 game in that team - in which he scored in - yet doesnt get to start. Don't see why Pato should be any different when he's not playing well.

The problem with Pato is that we used to have the privilege of playing Ibra, Cassano or Robinho when he was out injured. But, now I'm afraid we don't have that kind of privilege anymore. That's why imo he should be used as a mean to get Balotelli or another star striker.I think some of the clubs still would believe in his potential to become a world class striker.Even if we have to pay some cash.

Pato simply does not command a good fee these days. I'd rather stick with him tbh, get rid of Robinho AND bring someone like Balotelli. Don't forget Robinho is on a high wage. He might not be getting injured but do his performances really show anything. He could barely score a sitter today from a few yards out

The most ideal solution for Pato would be to loan him out to some Brazilian club and see how his case develops. Maybe it will do him good. I think there is no point in keeping him with us for the rest of the season at this rate.
Fillipo Simone
Loaning him out? I think it's out of the question - considering everything (including his relationship with Barbara).

Get real hes one of our prized he's either going to stay with us or we will likely sell him why would you loan one of your star players when you do not have them in abundance we are not Real Madrid or Plasticity.

Why out of the question? The guy is barely getting any play-time. It's either sell him in January or renew his contract and our faith in him. If it's the latter, well, maybe spending 5-6 months in Brazil would do him good, cause I can't see his case going anywhere with how things have been going so far.

He is not getting any playing time because he is always injured its a vicious cycle sending one of our prized strikers to Brazil and by the way we would most likely have to pay for his wages because i cannot see any Brazlian club bank rolling his wages. For now we are getting a few wins under our belt hopefully that calms him down and no one rushes him back to fitness. He has a place overwhelmingly in this clubs starting line up when he is fit sending him to Brazil would most likely see him sold on afterwards as right now we all know hes going to be priced down when sold. Take Balotelli for example if we wanted him in a swap deal with Pato no one in there right mind would take Pato in this state. Give Pato time. Robinho looks more and more likely to leave then Pato.
X-Offender
I'm saying send him to Brazil so he can recover there. The guy is simply not playing due to these injuries, and we're still paying his wages, so it wouldn't make a difference in that regard.
Zed.D
As we've seen before, he recovers well and stays healthy with the Brazilians (NT), but the problem is he gets injured soon after he comes back. it's almost mysterious...

I don't know what to think anymore. just waiting to see how it goes during the transfer window.

I honestly think it's not a pattern. That would be just to easy, I mean - wouldn't someone give a call to the NT doctors and ask what magic they're doing? I think it's sheer luck.

It could be their training/fitness methods.. or pitch quality.
drucurl
Again...it's just my hunch and suspicion/paranoia...but if it's TRUE it's hardly surprising.

$h!tlegri has NEVER like Pato or any player like him. He was basically FORCED to play him in out scudetto season when iBra got his red cards He likes the high intensity players with the non-stop work rates.....but he's too much of a simpleton to realize that every type of player (with notable exceptions of course) has his place.

Berbatov, Zidane, Ronaldinho etc will NEVER spend all game running around, chasing shadows. It doesn't in any way minimize their worth it's just that it's not them.

$hitlegri imho genuinely wishes that every player was their positional version of Flamini, possibly with more intelligence and technique/talent
Danny
I think the Pato situation is very much aggravated by the Barbara baggage. That makes loaning or selling out of the question. Daddy's girl would not be happy if her boyfriend was sold. And Daddy Silvio does not want to upset Queen Barbara.

So the club and the player are stuck in a bad situation.

tbh Pato probably barely minds. He's got a hot girl who clearly adores him, and he's getting paid a huge amount of money. He will even get a new deal in this state as long as he and Babs are still together.
Jack Sparrow
But they aren't together anymore. The split up some time back.

EDIT: Extremely possessive about Barbara. Will not hear anything spoken against her. For the record! ;-)

What does Barbara have to do with this?

If he's fit you PLAY him FFS. This is all Allegri. We've known they've had problems in the past just like with 75% of our best players.

Allegri wants a team full of Urbys, Boneras, Pazzinis, etc because they're all midtable quality players and he feels like he has the power in the relationship

Like I said....it made ZERO sense that Pato would complain about playing time if he was going to be injured....not even try to declare himself fit for the next match...Something isn't right somewhere.
