I think he will. They don't just randomly assign numbers to players at Milan (with the possible exception of retired guys coming back for testimonials). Plus the article that Armisse so kindly posted - which is also from the club website - states quite clearly that today before training, Pato was presented with the #7 jersey.

i dont know why but i hate this number and specially Shevchenko these days , when i remember his treat to us in last days , he hated Milan .
