Are you an MD ? Because, I'm not sure if what you stated was a fact or just a hypothesis on how you consider the show was being run.

Also, reading through your post, I get the feeling that these players are machines and not human beings who have physical limitations.

I'm not an MD and its not exactly the detailed process but its essentially like that. Milan have something like 10 medical staff in total.

Also when you pay somebody 9m a season, your going to do everything possible to make sure he's on the field at all times. European football is called the meat shop for a reason.

I took a trip to the NSCAA internation convention in Philly in January. Milan had a booth there and Milanlab was part of it. I asked the guy basic questions about how the facilities are and stuff like that.

The guy said we have one of the top 5 medical facilities in the world of football and our doctors messhachlk and meerseman are internationally known. He also spoke about specific process we use that other clubs don't know or don't use etc etc..

I also did some reading up on the training methods of carlo over the last 5 years and there was huge talk on MilanLab and how it works; I think I posted an article on this forum or maybe it was another one I dont' quite remember on how we use a special hidden fitness regiment during off season to make sure our players are top quality.

Anyways, I don't have proof of it and It could be changed. I just know thats what happened during carlo era.

So how long will he be out for?

Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani has confirmed that the Rossoneri fans have not seen the last of star striker Alexandre Pato this season.

The 20-year-old had a relapse after coming back from a thigh injury eight days ago during a 1-1 draw with Napoli.

There were fears the umpteenth setback would have ruled out the ex-Internacional man for the remainder of the season.

But speaking to Mediaset after last night’s 1-1 draw with Lazio, Galliani said: “Pato will be back for the final two or three games of the league.”

If everything goes according to plan, the Brazilian international could make his comeback when Milan face Fiorentina at home on May 2.

Whether this report is true, the fact remains that Pato, at such a young age, seems to have been cursed by an injury plagued career.

This is going to hurt his development big time and one wonders if he'll come close to realising his potential.

This has not been a good season for him overall. He's scored a few, yeah, but his form hasn't been what it was last season. And those injuries have definitely not helped.

I think this season he's showed more of his goal scoring skills rather then his dribbling skills. If injuries don't plague him for the rest of his carreer, I think he'll become one of the most complete forwards out there
Zed.D
I really don't think he's made of glass like Robben/Aquilani/etc are. remember this last time he got injured because they wanted to rush him back to playing... as for the injury before that, he had recently returned from another injury and maybe he was not physically ready to play full games (and that's exactly what happened). I don't know whose fault it is, the medical team or the fitness coaches or Leo or whoever else, but I'm certain some people are not doing their job right. it can also be attributed to our lack of depth. when ready, Pato has to play full games all the time because there really is no other option on bench. this sure doesn't help him keep away from injuries, does it?

I think in another club where people responsible for players' fitness don't suck balls (like Barca or Man U), he wouldn't have got injured this much...
Protagonist
Pato in comparison to last season, seems to be a lot bigger, in terms of his muscles. I think the reason behind his constant injuries is due to the growth hormones that we are giving him. I believe come next season and he will explode smile.gif
Zed.D
Explode? you mean in a good way?

It's the same treatment Kaka and Dinho recieve/d. He'll learn over time how to handle the attention from the defenders. Again, it's the injuries that really worry me, just like Kaka had so many problems with his knees because of the constant fouling, I fear the same thing will happen to Pato
il_diavolo_mtl
on this note i would just like to say, i just finished re-watching the mlan-madrid series and pato was incredible!!!

So, some news to make zeddie go yay.gif :

Pato was interviewed by qsvs (a sport show on telelombardia, a local milan tv channel) and said the following:

QUOTE
"Sto bene, solo che voglio guarire bene. Ho molta voglia di tornare. Spero contro Palermo ma voglio solo guarire bene. Del mercato parla solo il mio procuratore, sono felice al Milan, sono sicuro di essere molto felice qua al Milan"

[I'm fine and only want to recover well. I really want to get back. I hope to play against Palermo but want only to fully recover. Only my lawyer will talk about the market, I'm happy at Milan and I'm sure of being very happy here.]

rolleyes.gif See? he's always talking about how he might have to leave Milan... *tsk tsk* what a shitty attitude rolleyes.gif
Bluesummers
There is no way in hell he'll leave. Its the same story as Kaka everyone. We'll hear about his departure every transfer window for the next 5 years at least.

We'll only sell him if an offer of 70+ comes in or he has medical problems. Otherwise, he'll be here for a long time.

We paid 22m for him so we are not simply going to hand him over to someone else for cheap.

So, Fester made a statement today before the Lega Calcio meeting:

QUOTE

[Recently the talk of a possible transfer of Alexandre Pato to Real or Chelsea have multiplied. To deny them, Adriano Galliani, Milan administrative delegate, said the following before today's meeting of Lega Calcio: 'Pato's doing well at Milan and hasn't missed the chance to say so. He's staying with us.' The Rossoneri director also said the following about Leondardo, recently criticized by Berlusconi with regard to the strikers: 'He's not on the market, he's our coach.']

Looks like we won't see any more cutsie heart celebrations after Pato scores goals. Eurosport is quoting an interview given to Brazilian newspaper 'Extra' by Gilmar Veloz, Pato's agent. Veloz says that Pato has left the Milan apartment he shared with his wife and has moved into a hotel. Pato has also apparently instructed his lawyers to begin divorce procedings.

Jack Sparrow
I heard it too. Heard a few possible reasons:

1. He's been out partying too hard with R80 and she's feeling ignored and homesick.
2. She wants to focus on her career too, which happens to be in Brazil and they're not able to work something out.
3. She's doing a Sheva and wants to go to London.

I think it's 2. Though a side of me wants to mess with Zed.D and say that Pato's pee-pee is not as big as was shown on the webcam. tongue.gif

wacko.gif wacko.gif wacko.gif You just had to bring up the Patinho thing, didn't you Jack?

Maybe I'm the only one, but I hated his goal celebration anyway. It was cheesy as hell.

Okay, first he flashes his Patinho to the Internet world for some bimbo. Then his splits from his wife NINE months after his stupidly getting married at all of 19 years old. Nice. Where's The Marriage Ref when you need him?

From Wikipedia: "However, on the 21st of April 2010 Pato and Sthefany announced their separation, with Sthefany citing Pato's constant partying as the reason for their split."

Nice. Well, that and the incredibly boneheaded decision to get married at such a young age.
Fishdoll
Miz, this fish is disappointed in you. Check your sources. First off, it's wiki you're talking about.

Secondly, they source an article from an Indian website which in turn quotes the Sun.

So here we've got unreliable quoting unreliable quoting unreliable. And you believe it?

Wow. I can't think of a single good reason to get married being 20 (or less at the time?) and a young football star.

Pato accepts World Cup snub

Wednesday 12 May, 2010

Alexandre Pato accepts “it has not been a good year for me,” and is already looking forward to the 2014 World Cup.

The Milan striker has been out injured since March and consequently did not earn a spot in Carlos Dunga’s 30-man preliminary Brazil squad.

“I believed in my chances right to the end. It’s a shame, but I am still young and will work even harder to make sure I am ready for the 2014 World Cup, especially as the hosts are Brazil.”

There have been reports Pato is on his way out of San Siro this summer, as interest from Chelsea remains high.

“I want to assure the fans that I will always do everything I can to help Milan win something.

“It has not been a good year for me. I was on the sidelines for two months, but I’m happy that I returned to the field against Genoa at the weekend and did not feel pain.”

The teenager has been suffering from a recurring thigh problem all season.
