New injury for Pato. Details will follow soon.

And here we go again.

UPDATE: He should stay out for 3 weeks, will probably recover for matchday 3.

Can we just put this guy in a plastic bubble or something?

It's thigh injury again. Muscular. rolleyes.gif

Ok...everyone go home. We're done for this season.

How many of you would tribute this to Milan's training routine?! sad.gif I know Zed.D would.

It seems like it has to be at this point.

It must be an easy job to be a Milan reporter. Every fifth story can just be a recycled article about Pato getting hurt, you would just have to update the dates each time.
Fillipo Simone
I don't know, he trained with Menezes and Brazil...and didn't got injured.

I think it's pretty obvious that the problem is Milan and not Pato.

Weeks with Brazil and zero injuries, a mere few days back with Milan and boom... Another injury

Using this as another opportunity to troll/bash $hitlegri. Incredible how well Pato does away from the charlatan. Yes I recognize that this might simply be due to the clash. But I'm extremely bitter about everything atm

You guessed right

Worse part is that this is the normal consensus here. mellow.gif Had Pato picked up a muscular or serious injury during the past month or so (of constant training and a few starts) with the Brazil NT, then I could understand. But to break down now, with the new season just about to begin reflects very poorly on either the Milan doctors or Allegri.

The only way both these parties could be absolved were if the Milan training ground had some issues. But for all we know, Pato ended the last season injured in despair, and now he isn't there at the star either. sad.gif 3 weeks or otherwise, we really do begin a new season pretty bad, barely scraping through points in the first few matches.

Which ultimately comes to bit us towards the business end of the Scudetto campaign, almost always. Yes yes, this too can be attributed to the coach, players, or the management for delaying the signings and not giving them enough time to build team chemistry. And now we won't have our main striker either.

Let's just hope it stays at 3 weeks, and the other forwards earn their paychecks in Pato's absence.

Uh, he did pick up a very slight niggle, a hint of a problem with Brazil. smile.gif But nothing serious at all. So yeah.

Can't argue with a word like 'charlatan'. tongue.gif Anyway, if he performs badly this could be the last year at the helm for the charlatan. 2nd or 3rd place I don't care about, but hypothetically speaking Allegri either win something this year, or the management will make him the escape goat (yeah, I know what I did there) and fire him.

That is of course, if - sad as it is to think about it - Milan fail to make the CL, or even Europe altogether.

Maybe this is all for publicity of his side business:

Don't really see how we can blame Milan - if it was our doctors then all our players would suffer this.

We had 100s of injuries last season, there is obviously problems with our medical department.

And yes Pato is part of the problem, but there has to be a reason as to why he spends weeks healthy with Brazil and gets injured in a matter of days when he's back with Milan

Guess there's the same issues with Man Utd's as well then! Many clubs suffer lots of injuries - maybe we should consider bad luck before jumping to blame doctors?

It's called bad luck. Has happened with so many players with different clubs. Daniel Prodan, Seb Rozenthal, Jonas Thern for Rangers. Owen Hargreaves for Man Utd. Darren Anderton with Spurs.

It just happens.
Zed.D
You don't call something that's happened 98459387538 times over a few years bad "luck". it's just not about luck. FYI he has NEVER got injured while away with Brazil that I can remember. it only happens at Milan. isn't it enough of a sign for you?

He spends 95% of his football career in Italy. He's had 16 injuries since 2010. International football is a mere fraction of the time a footballer spends. He's also only actually played 20 times for them!

It's not ridiculous to suggest the injuries are down to bad luck and chance that he's infinitely more likely to get injured for his club than while on international duty. Given the percentages of time spent in each.

And as Acid pointed out, he DID get injured while out for Brazil recently anyway! That is very likely to have been the catalyst for this.
Zed.D
He did get injured with Brazil, yes, but that was a knock not his usual muscular problem. say what you want but he looked completely healthy and fit with Brazil.

If this new injury is caused by a clash then we can breathe a sigh of relief, otherwise it's disaster.

And a mere fraction of time?? he spent several weeks with Brazil, played in friendlies, Olympic games and another friendly after that and never got hurt (except a knock). he needs a mere fraction of those several weeks to injure himself at Milan. that's how fast it happens to him here.

Ok, say I buy the 'non-chance' theory. Why exactly are Milan's doctors to blame for Pato getting injured on his return to Milanello?

The medical team generally only gets involved when a player actually requires treatment, they don't CAUSE him to require the treatment.
Zed.D
I always missed Pato's birthday, but not this time. happy Birthday Il Papero. and get well soon dammit!!

I'm not blaming the medical team, I'm blaming something within the club. could be Allegri, who knows. the fact is, he was alright for weeks with Brazil and played at least a hanfdul of games and look fit and OK, then went back to Milan and injured himself in the 2nd friendly game he played. he didn't injure himself right away, needed a few days in training to (get ready to) get ruined again.

But I can't believe you're defending MilanLab. forget about Pato, everything that's happened over the past 2-3 years indicates that MilanLab has lost its quality. there have been too many signs; wrong predictions, prolonged injuries, mysterious injuries, etc. you can't defend them. they suck!

San Siro's pitch was fixed this summer.

It looked awful in our opening day.
Fillipo Simone
Yeah, I don't think we fixed the problem permanently.
X-Offender
It doesn't matter how it looks, but how it feels. It looked perfect against Barcelona, but there flocks of grass flying everywhere. Now there's an artificial layer beneath the grass, which reduces the problem substantially. At least, that's what I've read.
dst
No, that's what I meant, the ball was bouncing in various areas of the pitch.
X-Offender
Anyhow, it looks like the new San Siro pitch is cursed. We've played two games there (Juventus, Sampdoria), and Inter have played three games (Dinamo Split, Vaslui, Roma) and there hasn't been a single victory for either of the milanese clubs.
dst
Yeah it's the pitch. I don't think the fact that both teams suck has anything to do with it.

Yes. Problem is we've run out of valuable players to sell after that. What next, Silvio starts whoring Barbara out to cover our losses? That explains her dumping Pato too.
