The most disappointing thing about him is that he does not use his incredible speed.

Maybe, just maybe! this is why:

Could be. It's obvious he avoids contact, it's something I don't like at all about him. He can't continue doing that if he wants to become a truly great player... Vince Carter can confirm that! biggrin.gif

I definitely agree that he can't progress like this, but perhaps he thinks it's still better to play than to spend so much time on the sidelines and risk his career, so he avoids getting injured. if you try to look at this from his pov not yours, it will make sense. would you do otherwise if you were in his place?
dst
No you're right, I'm just hoping that he does not continue with it when his body is strengthened.
Zed.D
Obviously he shouldn't then. wink.gif
dst
of course but maybe he'd still be afraid of getting injured
Zed.D
In that case he would be something along the lines of what X-Off said biggrin.gif but right now and until his injury problem is solved once and for all, it's justified for him to avoid getting injured. in my opinion of course.

Alexandre Pato has told reporters that he prefers to play as a centre-forward rather than as a second striker.

His comments come amid speculation that he is incompatible with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Speaking while on international duty with Brazil, he said: “I like playing as a centre-forward and I believe that I do well in this role.

“But I do what the Coach asks of me both for Brazil and for Milan.

“Mano Menezes believes in me and Max Allegri does too. Then it all depends on how we play.

“I am happy. I am always happy. I must only work and stay calm,” he concluded.

I hope he will play today,he needs to find his form, the more he plays, the better.

Pato trains on his day off

Alexandre Pato voluntarily turned up for training on Tuesday even though Milan had been given the day off by Massimiliano Allegri.

The 21-year-old Brazil international spent an hour and a half working on his game in an effort to convince the coaching staff to start him more regularly.

Pato has been on the bench 10 times this season despite scoring a goal every 96 minutes in Serie A.

He got the winner against Chievo at the weekend and is trying to develop a better understanding with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Absolutely, good attitude. I really hope he is given more chances to play as CF. He's dangerous there.

yeah he seems alittle wasted in other positions other than CF but this attitude is a great piece of intent for the tough upcoming fixtures love u pato king.gif

Berlusconi...

That's his daughter. She was at the game in Verona. I'm sure she's thanking Pato for scoring the winner the only way a Berlusconi can wink.gif

She doesn't look that old! Google her LAZY!!!

And really?? Berlu is still making kids with 16 year olds as we speak. Correction. She was in a relationship with a banker for 9 years and she had 2 kids, and then she broke up with him in 2010.

Galliani rules out Pato transfer

Adriano Galliani locked down Alexandre Pato and claimed Milan’s Scudetto showdown with Napoli is “very important, but not decisive.”

The Rossoneri are still top of the Serie A table and go head-to-head with second-placed Napoli on Monday night.

“This match will be very important, but not decisive,” insisted the Milan Vice-President.

Galliani also commented on reports that young striker Pato would be sacrificed over the summer transfer market to bring in reinforcements.

“The Brazilian is essential for Milan and will absolutely remain here,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

There has been a hat-trick of home defeats for Italian sides in the first leg of the Champions League ties, but the former Lega Calcio chief is keeping calm.

“It will be difficult for all three teams, but we must not all is lost already.”

Milan lost 1-0 to Tottenham and Inter fell by the same scoreline to Bayern Munich, while Roma were defeated 3-2 by Shakhtar Donetsk.

I am sure he will stay with us, regardless, Paperino is very young and much younger than Didier. I wish we will never sell Pato but also when Ricky left us, he was not this young.
Fillipo Simone
So, will Pato be avaible against Inter? If not, I really cannot see how we could score.

And it's really becoming frustrating how fragile he is.
X-Offender
He should be available for the derby. And this time around we shouldn't blame his frailty. It was an ankle distortion, exactly what happened to Boateng against Juventus, not a muscular problem.
kurtsimonw
He is always injured though and excuses are always made. The kid's not going to be able to walk when he's 30.

Alexandre Pato was the brace hero in the derby and used it to answer his critics. “Finally I was decisive in a big match.”
The young striker has been at Milan since the age of 17 and still has a long way to go in his career, but will look back on the double in tonight’s 3-0 victory over Inter.

“I gave a strong response to my critics with two important goals,” he told MilanNews.it.

“I always let criticism wash over me and played every single game with the intention of doing better.

“Finally I was decisive in a big match.”

Sell Pato.. yeah sure rolleyes.gif
Danny
I still have trouble identifying what kind of striker he actually is.

Seemingly he wants to play as a CF behind the striker, but the boy's got goals in him and good positional sense as a goalscorer.

But in the past he was capable of C Ron/Messi-esque dribbles past players, which he doesn't seem to have in his locker now.

He's on form, but I am not sure how to label him really.
Fillipo Simone
Yeah, maybe, but the boy is right. Finally wink.gif
CHU-LIP
Pato is a striker, a CF as in not playing behind a striker nor playing wide. He is a goalscorer if anything. Good as a lone striker he is. Having support from someone like Robinho works, a player who drops back, goes wide, and so.
il_diavolo_mtl
Let's cut the foreplay and sign him to a 10 year contract.

This summer will be improtant for him! He's gotta do something, or we can really write him off. I mean, how many times did his fargility pop out during this season alone?
acid911
Good things come to those who wait till the age 25! cool.gif wink.gif That's when the human body stops growing, and athletes are in their peak. This is when I am sure Pato's injuries will stop, and his muscles will stabilize and get strong. If we wait for another few years, then I am certain we will get the best of Pato consistently. If we sell him in the next year or two, the club that buys him will reap the benefits.

Now, of course, this does not hide the fact that the kid is very, very, very injury prone! He is one of those types.
