QUOTE (X-Offender @ Mar 3 2012, 11:15 PM) Nope, it was 100% Berlusconi. He came out the following day saying it was him who aborted the whole Pato-PSG/Tevez-Milan deal because he though the quality/price ratio wasn't satisfactory. Yes and I believe all that Silvio says 100% (IMG: style_emoticons/default/innocent.gif) Pato came out before that and said himself that he wanted to stay at Milan, while Galliani confirmed that Pato did not want to go to PSG so the Tevez deal fell through. I personally believe it's a combination of both. Sort of like the Kaka to City issue with Silvio flying in on his magic carpet to save the day, when we all knew that it was mostly Kaka who rejected the move as Milan were ready to jump at that money like a pack of hungry hyenas

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Mar 3 2012, 11:25 PM) What did you expect Pato to say? That I wanted to leave but Berlusconi didn't let me? Come on now, han! He said what actually happned, and I believe this because Galliani confirmed it. The fact that Silvio wants to keep him is just a bonus for me. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Mar 3 2012, 11:33 PM) I'm certain that Pato had nothing to do with it, it was all Silvio. You can think all you want, I'm not trying to convince you. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Just trying to convince yourself that he'll be sold (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Mar 3 2012, 11:37 PM) I convinced myself long time ago. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) I can see that (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) At this point it's not selling him per se that I don't want to see happening, it's the replacement (IMG: style_emoticons/default/puke.gif) If I knew that we'd spend that money on say, going after Goetze. I'd be all in as at this point we're one striker short since our medical team + injury prone players don't mix. But to go after Tevez is what disgusts me, and as we all know, what you want.

Going after Götze is a mission impossible. But I agree with the rest Han (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I don't think so. I've been following Dortmund closely, they are ambitious, and don't want to loose track of Bayern like they did in recent history after early successes. But more importantly, their management is only prepared to give him away for big money - the wait for United, Madrid, Barcelona. England being constantly mentioned as Götze's preferred destination. All that makes me think it's almost impossible.

All that makes me think it's almost impossible. Well I really don't think Dortmund will be able to keep him, just like they couldn't keep Sahin. So it's only a matter of where he will go. And I don't see Man U breaking any banks to sign him. They'll probably go for the cheaper Sneijder. As for Madrid and Barca. I don't get how he would fit into either team, especially since they both have top class options (several of them) in his position. Maybe Real would be willing to sell Ozil if they got him. I'd settle for that...

Well, I really don't think Götze is up for a Milan change. Arsenal has been mentioned earlier on, United may be knocking on the door (Sneijder is injury prone), and you always have City and Chelsea. Trust me, I don't see this guy joining any Italian club.

He came out the following day saying it was him who aborted the whole Pato-PSG/Tevez-Milan deal because he though the quality/price ratio wasn't satisfactory. Firstly he [also] said he thought Pato was a great player blah blah and that's why he blocked the move, in case you have forgotten. Secondly, it's typical Berlu. when we pulled out of Kaka>City deal he came out and said the same on a TV show and sent everyone cheering, making himself the hero in all that. turned out it was just Kaka refusing to sign for City and he was sold to Madrid anyway. I believe what Galliani and Pato say before I believe anything that lying politician says. you can believe what you want. @ Jack Bauer Visiting is one thing, being treated for a few months is another. I don't remember Pato going under any rehabilitation in the US like Nesta did for his back.

QUOTE (han2503 @ Mar 3 2012, 05:55 AM) His contract is the least of the problems. Pato I think would want to stay at Milan. Giving up and running to the French league would be his last resort most likely. So renewing it would be easily done.
The problem has always been the injuries. And if they are considering sending him to the US, then obviously they haven't given up on him either. And if they continue stalling on sending him for a second oppinion then he should do what Kaka and Ronaldo did when Milanlab could not give them any answers, he should go the Brazil NT doctors and see what they have to say. I remember them blasting the Milan doctors on the Kaka case saying that he was mistreated, I wouldn't doubt that being the case with Pato as well. +1 Ronaldo in particular seemed to always get his fitness back up in Brazil then they would come to Milan and all hell would break loose (IMG: style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) All in all something is eerily wrong at Milanello's medical facility. I remember we used to be so good other teams would bring their players here to get fixed (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
