We are leading the table, we got rid of Kaladze, we signed a lot of good players, all our awesome players stayed, we have a way better coach now, Inter lost their awesome coach... we are favourites to win the Scudetto... king.gif

i'll be the first to eat my words

at the beginning of the transfer market i said that milan wasn't going to anything (again) and that we would be an absolutely terrible team. even mentioned that i wouldn't watch any games out of protest.

i was wrong, and i will gladly admit it. i can't remember a time, in recent memory, that we've had such an active (and good) transfer market.

can...not...wait!

I still wouldn't say that

To win a Scudetto we need to be consistant. We'll see how good we are in that respect

This is a dream.

Not so excited about Robinho at all. IMO we could have aquired VdV for the same money and would be better of. Any Maxwell news?

I'm a bit sorry for Borriello. Is it a permanent deal?
pacang
fellow milan fans, forgive me for being cynical.. in the beginning i thought this is gonna be a quiet august for us..

but then, i have been proven wrong.. my apologies
Fishdoll
Well.

Not necessarily the players this fish would've picked but still.

Hasn't been an end-of-market flurry like this in ages.

Fins up to Fester.

Sure, te most consistent team will win. But Inter and Benitez are the last ones showing that. 96.gif I like our chances.

How exactly were we going to get VdV when he stated he wanted to stay and Real and fight for his spot? huh.gif

Official: Borriello goes to Roma in definitive buy form.

Good luck Marco!

Seems official: Borriello is a Roma player.

Some sources say loan, others say permanent move at 15M/euros.

I'd say it is permanent move now that Unicredit has given Roma 13m euros. wink.gif Roma are in financial trouble at the moment, I doubt they even had 2m to spare (literally speaking, of course), so with the loan they surely bought him in full. Besides, Bori himself said that he would not prefer a loan.

So we make around 14m from Huntelar and 15m for Bori = not too shabby.

Still not convinced the strong egos aren't going to turn around and bite us in the collective tushies but...it'll be interesting to see what comes of this squad.

So it's all over!

Good God

Uncle Fester just took europe for a ride

Amelia - loan
Yepes - Free
Sokratis - exchanged a bunch of youngsters + cash (which is covered by storari sale)
Boateng - loan to buy
Ibra - loan to buy
Robinho - Bought

We sold Hunter Borri Kala for around 30 mill

lol did we make a profit?

Indeed. I'm guessing Robinho must have cost us about 15m.

Sources say 10m for Rob. He surely was an accessory there, he did not fit in Mancini's plans. cool.gif The guy is lazy as lobster, but can conjure up magic every now and then. And considering he will be covering both R80 and Pato, I think a pretty good deal.

Also rumor has it that Bori went for a salary of 2.8m euros, which was surprising for me. He will certainly have a lot of competition there too up front with Totti, Vucinic, Menez, drug smuggler Adriano, Baptista and the youngster Okaka. I guess the only logical reason why he went for Roma instead of Juve is because they are in the CL. Anyway, best of luck to all our former (and new players), with the exception of Kala. mad.gif Good riddance that.

And guys, we may not agree on the signings, but please do keep in mind that we at least got some new blood in. Which is more than that could have been said an year (or even a month back). Sure better/favorite/alternate players were available for everyone we signed, but that's always the case isn't it? biggrin.gif Let's be happy we got new supply of ammo and go out all guns blazing. I'd happily have taken half the market we did, but the ins and outs I saw in the lat week are pure bliss. No one can say the board didn't try.

Pretty much summed it up for me.

I'm impressed by management more than anything.

Has anybody seen any concrete figures regarding how much we paid for Robinho?
Dracoris
So, Kaladze and Borri out, Robinho in.

Wowzers. At the beginning of the summer it was said Milan would need a transfer market miracle. I think it happened.

I say promote Stasser, Merkel and Odu and this has been one of the better markets in a LONG time.

Strasser and Odu have already been promoted. They're in the first-team squad. But Merkel and Verdi haven't.

Yup, and I've been spying on rival boards (inter, juve and Roma), and even fan forums across Europe and for the most part it has been doom and gloom. More so across the big three in Italy, and well this is the third year running EPL has not had an influx of quality players. Not a smidgen. Galliani is now one of the most hated/envied figure in world football, not just because of the players he got, but how he got them.

And don't forgot a a completely new XI of youngster that we plucked from other clubs for the future (and not just other youth clubs, but Chelsea and Barca young ones). Even if three out of those make the transition, it is a job well done. B&G have pulled a master stroke, they have done their bit. king.gif And now it is up to the players and the coach to show what they are made of. Anything less than the CL or the Scudetto would be utterly disappointing. Particularly now that we have entered the league of the top tier clubs of Europe. It matters now how we did it, but at least other people and teams are taking notice.

We could have done even better yes, but anything less than an A for this market would be unfair to the board. cool.gif A+ even if you consider we managed to get rid of the leech Kala. Like I said, let's sleep good tonight, and enjoy the rid. The board seems serious, and any shortcomings can also be addressed in the January window. Been a while since I've said this, but:

Forza Milan!

No, Fuggedaboutit both Maxwell and Mexes. smile.gif Nothing on them. Also apparantly the official AC Milan site says that Borriello went on a loan deal for about 2 million, with the option to buy at the end of the year at 13m.

I wasn´t especially happy about Robinho... but our team did a fantastic job in the transfer market so I´m just going to concentrate on being happy.

Robinho is a player with a lot of quality and fantasia, we all know that. Our whole worries are based on his attitude. We just hope that he feels in a better place with Ronnie, Pato and Thiago and believes in himself and in the fact that he is a real pro playing for the best team of the world.

I just hope that the signing of Robinho is part of a special and secret plan that our coach has and nobody knows about.

A special formation never seen before that will shake modern football.

FORZA MILAN!

True, there is no reason to. Not until they gel together and perform. smile.gif And then there is the issue of egos, how well we as a team manage it all. But having said that, everyone should at least agree that the squad is an improvement from the last season, and no more 0-4 scores against big teams. We can compete, and the team is complete:

Though having said that, G Rossi too would have been a great signing. Maybe for the future, fingers crossed

Milan is a world-class club with world-class players attitude and world-class fans so much that the personalities of the players matter much more than their talents.
