Leave Huntelaar alone!!!

He is a good player and he REALLY WANTS TO STAY!!!

He is an excellent player with excellent working ethic ... he is good to have in Milan.

If we need somebody is Krasic ... he will really change this team .... guaranteed

We should have got Diarra before he ruined his career by going to madrid. And there is no transfer strategy at Milan, we search the bargain basement for players.

I'm a little more optomistic than that, surely a new coach wouldn't agree to join on the promise of Serie B players etc.
but everyone is entilted to there view i'm just a little more hopefull than 99% of this forum it seems laugh.gif
X-Offender
Krasic is 99% a Juventus player, so you should look for elsewhere.
Dracoris
Reading through the news of today and just the fact that we are linked with players like Blasi and Brocchi just makes me angry. Someone in that club needs to step up and say enough is enough. Juventus is relegated to Serie B comes back to Serie A, flunks out of the CL, and then signs Krasic. Who do we have on our list? Dzeko...nah. Krasic? Nah, lost him to Juve. Hernanes? Nah. Blasi? Hell yea, he'd only cost like 2m! Lets do it!

EDIT:

Even better! We're going to reinforce ourselves with the purchase of Mancini. Such quality we are.

Chill people.

I'll tell you what's funny. Is that we 'believe' all the non-flattering rumours about Milan (we're going for average player X) etc. while when it comes to top players we're linked with, we take the 'our management will never buy that one' - route.

On the other hand it's vice-versa for other rival clubs. biggrin.gif

Not pointing fingers, our management is to blame somewhat...but..

GOD!! WHAT A BUNCH OF MASOCHISTS WE ARE!!
kurtsimonw
Probably because actions speak louder than words. Our rival clubs do go out and get the big names, so it's more believable when they're linked with them. We don't.
Jack Sparrow
So far no one has got anything. Yet we chose to believe they will. biggrin.gif I wasn't saying we're wrong, just an observation on our mental state.
Dracoris
Our hated rival has won the scudetto 5 years in a row now, capping it off with a treble. My sane mental state is long gone.

Milan inquire about Ganso Tuesday 8 June, 2010

Milan have made inquiries about Santos' highly-rated attacking midfielder Ganso, according to the player's agent Sabatino Durante.

The 20-year-old was recently named Brazil's Young Player of the Year and has been likened to former Milan idol Ricky Kaka.

Speaking to Calciomercato.com, Durante said: “There is concrete interest in the player and Milan have seen him many times. But I believe that Milan must first look at their budget. The Milan of three or four years ago would have probably signed Ganso in two minutes.

“Ganso's valuation is reasonable. The President of Santos is asking for €25m. This is the demand. Ganso likes Milan a lot.

“For a Brazilian speaking about Milan is like speaking about home because of the many Brazilians who have been at Milan. But this does not mean he can't move to other teams.

“I heard from Adriano Galliani 10 days ago but for other situations. It's a deal that has yet to be put on the table.”

Paulo Henrique Ganso: Simply the Best Midfileder In the World
by Sammy Bal Contributor

He hails from the Amazon rainforests of northern Brazil. He plies his trade in the bustling metropolis of São Paulo. If you still haven't heard of him then take note of his name—this kid is raising eyebrows in Brazil and throughout the world.

Paulo Henrique Chagas de Lima or just Ganso (goose), as he is popularly known, has amassed a huge celebrity fan base in Brazil. Everybody who is somebody in the football world agrees that he must be on Dunga's May 11 Seleção list.

All the big names from Zico and Romario to Rivellino and Pele agree that the lad has that special touch, putting him in a whole other category.

His ability to slow a game down to his pace and literally hide the ball reminds us of the master Riquelme, but he's tall and strong as well so perhaps he's more like a Zidane. His dribbling skills and precision passes, though, perhaps make him a new Kaka.

The truth is that he is simply none of the above or indeed all of the above.

He is Ganso.

At the beginning of the season the call was for him to be on Brazil's 23 man squad as an eventual substitute for Kaka should anything go wrong with the Real Madrid playmaker.

However, with the passing of each spectacular performance some, like 1970 world champion Tostão, have called for Ganso to be part of any starting 11 for Brazil in South Africa, either playing alongside Kaka or indeed replacing the European based idol.

Sócrates, who himself was part of the 1982 Brazilian squad often hailed as the greatest football team ever, has taken his admiration even a step further.

In the opinion of this football idol, "Ganso is the greatest revelation Brazil has produced in the last decade, if Santos can hold on to Ganso they will have a monster team until he stops playing. They can sell the whole team, but keep him cause he makes the team play."

It is not just his fantastic football skills which led to Socrates' shocking statements, but also the personality and creativity Ganso has shown in key matches.

More specifically was Ganso's unorthodox play during the State Championship final versus Santo Andre where Santos lost 2-3, with eight players left on the field because of too many bookings, but won the title.

"What he did out there on Sunday represents the personality of the lad. He's the one who won the Championship.

"The second half was worth the title and he played alone, because he didn't have anyone else to play with. He invented stuff out there with extreme creativity and put a halt to a huge coaching error. He ran the clock down and almost scored from the middle of the pitch. That was about all that was missing", said Sócrates.

Indeed a goal from the middle of the pitch would have crowned Ganso's stellar performance in the Paulista Championship. He did everything in the second half of that match.

One particularly peculiar novelty was a corner awarded to Santos with minutes left on the clock.

Santos were down to eight men so Ganso simply touched the ball a few inches into play and stood there as time seemed to stand still before the Santo Andre players, the referee, the fans, and even the television commentators realized that the ball was actually in play.

He has the nerves of steel under pressure, the kind of maturity demanded to wear the five star Brazilian uniform, and the kind of maturity needed to win a world cup.

On today's Mediaset website, Carlo Pellegatti suggests the following may happen:
* Dida returns to Brazil
* Storari returns (Milan wants more for him than Samp is willing to pay)
* Huntelaar will be sold
* Milan may buy Ganso
* And Lazzari and maybe Blasi (meh on the latter)
* Mancini back to the nerazzurri
* Milan may also pick up Adriano from Sevilla

Sportmediaset says Lyon made a 20m offer to Santos but they rejected it. It looks like we might be selling Huntelaar to arrive to him, which I think is bullshit considering the fact that if P. Henrique plays for us, Ronaldinho would have to sit on the bench, and we would have one striker less (with Inzaghi being second choice).

If we want P. Henrique, we should sell Ronaldinho, otherwise sell Huntelaar and sign another striker.

I don't think thats true. I think they could co-exist on the same field with ease.

--Ganso is said to be on Dunga's shortlist of replacements for the WC, which means he is probably better than most of the team Dunga selected smile.gif Everywhere I look this guy has gotten high remarks. Maybe we'll finally grab someone worthwhile, though that 25m price tag makes me think otherwise.

How? P. Henrique is an AM. The only way they could play together would be by playing Pato as CF and sitting Borriello on the bench. Ronaldinho would also have to play as second striker. IMO that wouldn't work at all.

Xmas tree wink.gif

Selling Ronaldinho is out of the question, only one team would be willing to pay the amount we would want for him and I don't think Man City are as interested anymore, not to mention that Dinho is a Silvio favourite, he'd sell practically everyone before he sells him.

A xmas tree formation with Dinho, Ganso and Pato would be pretty awesome cnsidering how they could interchange positions with each other. Defenders would be constantly on their feet since it's not static like the 4-3-3 where someone needs to cut Pato and Dinho out on the wings and that basically means no supply to Boriello.

I don't know if selling Hunter would be the right way to go, but then again we would have Bori and Pippo as backups, plus maybe giving Verdi the chance to step up, I think the kid's got what it takes.

I still think the attack isn't really what needs fixing, but if this Ganso is as good as they say, I think it would be worth selling a so far less then convincing Hunter, who in all probabilities won't get that much time playing anyway next season, to finance the Ganso move.

25m is more of a reachable targt for us, Dzeko with his price tag is out of our reach, we're never going to spend that amount of money on one player.

I wonder how much Motolivo/Palombo would cost to get them from their respective teams? Fiorentina might have to sell this summer... We still need another CM to replace Seedorf...

Pirlo shouldn't be played as a DM! Either he's moved to the left or right so that Ambro/Flamini/Rino are in the center or he should be moved forward in front of the 2 DMs we shouldn't be wasting him anymore by making him defend.

If and that's a big if, Ganso when to come, best solution would be the xmas tree, with Seedorf and Pirlo on the left and ight of midfield and a DM in front of the defence

Meh. I'd rather grab Montolivo or Palombo. Montolivo's possible but won't be cheap; Palombo is imo not likely to leave Samp. He had offers last year and turned 'em down.

Yeah but they're both CMs, Ganso is an AM, which we need as well.

I prefer Palombo personally, he works a lot more then Montolivo, and I just like his playing style, and maybe the offers last season were just not worth it, but any player can be swayed and bought at the end.

I just don't think our management are interested in buying another CM, something that we need even more then a striker or a CB imo.

I mean look at this

Pato
Dinho--Ganso
Palombo-------Pirlo
1 of our DMs
Antonini--Thiago--Nesta--Zambro

Subs: Bori, Pippo, Seedorf, DM, DM, Yepes, Bonera, FB

It looks like a scudetto winning team to me....

That's the only reasonable line-up I could think of, although playing Pato as CF would be a waste IMO. He's more deadly when he plays behind a CF, as second striker.

I know you're all contrary to selling Dinho, but if P. Henrique was to arrive, I'd sell him on the spot. Flamengo would sign him right away.

I think Pato can play any position in attack and be deadly, he played at the head of the tree under Carlo and did great as well.

Would Flamengo be willing to pay the high price tag we'll undoubtedly slap on him though?

Plus I think out of all of our attacker Hunter was the most disappointing last season and will most probably offer us the least nex season, Dinho on the other hand will most probably be a vital player in the line-up, can't say the same for Hunter, since Bori will beat him everytime when it comes to choosig between the 2

ohmy.gif take that back!!! They're both great players, just haven't had the chance to shine on the big stage yet!

You could snap a few clips on YouTube and judge for yourself. He seems like a complete player, but some argue about his speed. He doesn't have that deadly acceleration and agility like Kakà and Pato do. Not sure if it's true though, never seen him play.

No idea about his defending, but his passing skills are more than excellent. He's also great at dribbling.
Guido_Diavolo
Brazilian new genius?! I have some info biggrin.gif
PH Ganso is surely a great prospect, good passing, some nice skills and
good mid-shot too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9ccLb32rhU
He doesn't have the pace of Kaka, but he is not slow
About defending, I don´t think he can contibute about that

25M euros? maybe one day he will be that valuable, but I would rather return to Hernanes, not the same position but similar characteristics + defending and Hernanes could start playing right now as a starter, not so sure about Ganso, and I think we need some starters

edit: another thing, Santos (as all the clubs around here) needs money, no need for that kind of offer, with 25M Milan can take 2-3 good prospects; as Rafael Tolói (DC from Goiás), Walter (ST- plays Inter-Porto Alegre), Mário Fernandes (DC/DR plays for Grêmio)
Tottenham signed Sandro from Inter-Porto Alegre, the best DMC around here, for something around 7M euros
Guido_Diavolo
Just saw my last post around here was presenting Pato to you guys, some time huh?
BVR
Ganso has a bit of Ronaldinho and a bit of Kaka. He can dribble and has speed, but his main skill is passing. He has a great vision of the field and can pick out a right player in a crowd, that makes him deadly. Currently he just feeds the balls to Neymar Andre and Robinho and they put them in. He would be great behind Ronaldinho and Pato. If we buy only one player it should be him.
Fishdoll
No idea how reliable it is but Sky tg24 reports that Milan may be looking to buy Giuseppe Rossi if they can offload Huntelaar. link

And reports in Argentina indicate that the Argie press thinks that the Otamendi to Milan deal is pretty much done - take that one as you will. link

Rossi could be an awesome fit if we play that 4-3-3 type thing, him and Pato flanking a target man like Borriello. Very nice.

How is he wide, as RW? Because Ganso behind Ronaldinho and Pato, is a weird forward since Dinho will stay left a lot, so I wonder how Ganso is at the right (so that he can go from AMC to RW during the match).

I don't think he could play as a winger, hence why I don't see him and Ronaldinho together, as Dinho likes to play in a 4-whatever-3 system. I might be wrong though.
