Slightly off topic but, shouldn't our new kits have been announced by now?
Jack Sparrow
Dunno. They might just wait for the WC to end. Dunno really. Maybe our 'marquee' transfer will be expected to present it. biggrin.gif
nuh
oh sorry i meant to post this before but you guys just reminded me they are saying that this is our new kit

i thought it will have emirates on it rather than bwin huh.gif
Jack Sparrow
Yeah they've talked about it in the comments section. I'm not a big fan of skin tight jerseys in general (though the Azzuri ones are awesome), and I think these are probably one of a huge number of options under consideration.

P.S: I'm not a huge fan of adidas jerseys in general. I think PUMA kicks @ss.

han2503
I don't think those shirts are legit. They look like badly photoshoped images to me

Anyone interested in a Swedish striker, ex of the gobbi and inert, with a big nose? Catalan paper Sport is reporting (and mediaset/sky/tuttomercatoweb is repeating) that he's on the market.

Tuttomercatoweb reports that Pulzetti's participation on the summer tour may be more of a trial than originally thought (ie, if he does well we'll buy him).

Cellini (Cagliari's owner) is quoted by Tuttomercatoweb as saying that if Milan is interested in Allegri (who is still under contract to Cagliari), he's willing to listen. The theory put forth in one of the editorials last night is that if Milan go for Allegri, they'll let Cagliari have the other half of Astori.

Jack Sparrow
Hmm. Worth it? Not sure. Besides..Allegri's been fired right? We don't owe Cagliari anything. I'd like Ibra here..but not at the cost of Dzeko. biggrin.gif I reckon Dzeko would cost the same, but much less in terms of wages and attitude.
Fishdoll
Pellegatti is quoted as saying on Milan Channel that Albertazzi probably won't be added to the first team next year and that Romagnoli (the primavera captain) will probably go somewhere on loan. X-Off, did you see this show?

Tuttomercatoweb reports that Onyewu may be loaned to the donkeys.

Finally, tuttomercatoweb reports that the Primavera keeper, Donnarumma, is being observed by various Serie B clubs but that there's no guarantee he'll leave - he may be added to the senior squad as 3d keeper.

As stated in the other thread about this, I don't think the quotes attributed to Berlusconi in the article are accurate.
Zed.D
How good is Genoa's Sokratis?
Fishdoll
This fish rather likes him in spite of the unibrow.
Zed.D
The reason I'm asking is because I accidentally clicked on one of the archived forums, and in one of them there was a topic about promising youngsters (it is fun to read old topics!). back in 2007, dst seemed to think Sokratis was the biggest talent he had seen since Nesta ohmy.gif and how he seemed to have about 10 years of experience despite being just around 19 years old at the time.

That's why I got curious!

A few hours? I studied French for 5 years and I barely know 3 words in French. I'm awful at languages biggrin.gif

How come your English is so good? is it an official language in Malta or something?

Maltese porn sucks. He didn't have a choice.

English is our second language. We start learning it at school before we're 4 years old, it's an obligatory subject

In a long press conference during which Milan's commercial strategy was discussed in considerable detail(we've hired a new sport marketing firm that seems to have a good record; we're keeping Adidas), Fester did mention a couple of things of note:

1. There're 3-4 contenders for the coaching slot: the guys already mentioned and somoene nobody's thought of yet, someone who is not currently employed (mediaset thinks it's Billy).

2. Albertazzi, Strasser, Oduamani, and Verdi will join the first team next year.

Why not Zigoni!?
Fishdoll
Dunno, zeddie.

So, tonight Berlusconi is hosting executives from the club's sponsors and chatting to them about stuff. Supposedly he's said that in a situation of economic crisis a role such as his (prime minister) doesn't permit him to spend crazy money on the club but if a 'great champion, one who's able to make a difference, someone like Ronaldo' is available, he'd buy them and Italians would understand.

i am kind of confused, is Dzeko a good enough champion? good to know though that we actually do have some money left but we now need to spend it by buying at least 1 player for each position.

I don't understand this man. first he says he can't spend money in the midst of the financial crisis and then he says he'd be willing to buy someone like Cristiano Ronaldo!!?

Either he's really lost his mind or is just BSing everyone.
Fishdoll
Nah, I think he will fork over $$$ for one big buy. But there is not likely to be the reinforcement in positions that we need. At least based on what my reading of the original is.

The question is: who is the great champion he's talking about? does he have one specifically in mind?

EDIT: He also talked about the future coach:

QUOTE
''i vertici del Milan considerano per un allenatore molto importante l'esperienza nel settore giovanile, perche' forma molto il tecnico dal punto di vista psicologico''.

[The Milan leadership consider it very important for a coach to have experience in the youth sector, because it's formative for the coach from the psychological point of view.]

Linkman
So that's a hint towards Galli?
Fishdoll
That would be my guess.

Berlu wants to buy a popular player so that his popularity could rise among the fans...
one "great champion" cannot solve all of our problems...we need to invest in every department(defence, midfield, attack)

I have one word for this: BULLSHIT!

The guy is lying under his teeth, so the spirits of the frustrated Milan fans can calm down. Well, he ain't fooling us anymore. It's clear everyone's head enough of this imbecile taking the piss every time he opens his trap. Milan fans are angry, very angry. Expect something important to happen in the imminent future.
Fishdoll
Agreed. But if you note the primavera players Galliani named, you'll find 1 centerback/fullback (Albertazzi), 1 defensive mid (strasser), 1 attacking mid (Verdi) and 1 winger (Oduamani). They may be trying to do it that way.
Fishdoll
What sort of important thing, X-Off? Are those idiots from curva nord going to do something stupid?

Why idiots? Oh wait, because of the Maldini thing? Whatever.

Yeah, I expect a vivid protest of a major number of fans if things stay the same in the upcoming weeks. If no new signings are announced, if no money is spent, don't think the fans will keep their voice down.
Fishdoll
Not just because of the Maldini thing.

Because they are, in essence, a mob of petty criminals that rule by threat of violence. The intimidation about tickets, the fact that a guy who's been banned from stadiums exerts enough control over the group to be regularly quoted as their spokesman (Il Barone), that they in essence made the San Siro a place where families will not bring children - and I do not blame my friends with kids for not taking them to the stadium.

I don't think the Brigate Rossonere (and their equivalents at other clubs such as the drughi in Turin) are really football fans at all. To me, they're organized mobs and the only reason they're not in jail is because it's easier for the authorities to keep an eye on them if they're 'ultras' around stadiums instead of organizing brawls in city parks.

Italian football would be much better off if they were removed from the equasion altogether - jail, daspos, whatever. Just get them away.
X-Offender
Fair enough. The ultrà factor in Italy is something that should be dealt with sooner or later. Like Capello said some time ago, football clubs in Italy are conditioned by the ultrà fans.
Fishdoll
Sky Sports News (UK version) is leading with a story that Fabregas has asked to be sold. He'll almost certainly go back to Barcelona but this fish's fleeting thought is that he'd be the sort of 'great champion' it'd be worth spending on.

Aye, and he's also expressed his prefernce towards Milan in the past. But no matter what he says, the pinhead would never spend 50m on a single player, so we can forget about him.
kurtsimonw
I would be amazed if Cesc went anywhere other than Barca, given that he supports them.
Dracoris
If we sign Fabregas, I will.....I don't even know. But I'd do something extreme.
Fishdoll
Would you put a pancake on your head? 96.gif

Dracoris
no. I would put 2 PANCAKES on my head! It would be THAT extreme! haha
rip
pancakes are overrated. PIE is much better tongue.gif

Berlusconi selling milan is BS. i dont think he will ever do it. Although i think it would be better not to have a politician as the head of Milan.

TriniKing_CE
Where is that piece of news from Damir?

Also, what are Ronaldinho's wages? I can't see us willing to bring in Robinho if it is his wages are so high yet reports are suggesting we are trying to reduce Dinho's own.

I'm also not fond of Robinho's work rate & team work, he doesn't act very professional for my liking.

EDIT:
By the way, what's the latest on Dzeko Damir?

I'm not sure if you answered as yet, but in one of your previous posts you stated that there was a 99% chance of him signing for Milan. What made you suggest this? (...and what would you say is the main cause of the remaining 1%)
Zed.D
puke.gif No to Robinho. keep Dinho instead.

borriello, huntelaar, inzaghi, pato, adiyiah and all the primavera kids yet we're only linked with strikers (dzeko, robinho, eder, nilmar) rumours, next it'll be (rooney, torres, ibra)
oh yeah its silly season again alright

i'll very much rather first have clarity over who's staying and who's leaving+ inzaghi seems to be getting a new deal
