Huntelaar has been a total primadonna, at least through big parts of last year, or do you not recall the repeated interviews of him complaining about playing time?

World class means nothing if because of it you have a dressing room that's not on the same page. Those 11 guys need to play as a team out there for anything to be successful.

And gosh, Blue, why the big change on Dzeko? Weren't you absolutely certain in January (and in the August before that) that he was coming and would be wonderful for Milan?

I'm sure everyone in our dressing room wants him. We all want to win and thats what Ibra brings with him. World Class ability.

Yes I love Dzeko and would love him here but its not realistic. I'm just as pissed as Damir and the rest that he's not coming here but I've come to terms with it. We had our chance to sign him for 40m during May and we didn't. Berlu doesn't want him/rate him and neither does galliani it seems. So thats the end of that.

But i'm not about to go and say No to Ibra. Dzeko would be beautiful, magical, fantastic. But it won't happen.

But if Ibra were to happen, I'm not going to complain. We all know he's proven serie A material and can single handily win games alone as he did for Inter many times.

I want a scudetto, i've never seen us win one. You've seen us win many, therefore its not that special. But for me; I want it!

Flamini is a better player then Boateng, And Ambro, just like we saw last season cannot play every game. Rino is a non factor as he's finished as a professional athlete.

Flamini might be better than both, but Boateng is the better box-to-box midfielder of the three, and Ambrosini the better DM of the three.

If only we took Aquilani on loan... Aquilani and Zlatan in, Huntelaar and Flamini out... now, THAT would have been nice.

Because he is a lot better than Borriello.

Can we get rid of Huntelaar even if we don't transfer Ibra?

I really hope Huntelaar leaves, whatever happens.

Flamini >> Boateng !

It's about the type of midfielders you need. The best playmaker (Pirlo), the best DM (Ambrosini), and the best box-to-box midfielder (Boateng). Flamini might be better than Boateng, can be both DM and box-to-box midfielder, but that doesn't mean our best midfield includes him. Just like you should not play two poacher next to each other even though they are your two best players.

Yup , it's almost done. But if we don't sign Ibra we will sign Robinho for sure.

That would be too bad. I'm not really interested in Robinho at all. I'd rather save the money for a future transfer window if it comes to that.

comon now. Ibra has always been our number 1 target from the start.

As soon as Wolfsburg pulled that BS price tag in early July for Dzeko, we dropped our interest. Even then guys like Moggi came out and said that were interested in Ibra.

I even remember around early/Mid July someone came out in the press and said we will sign Ibra around the time of the gamper trophy. That will be our summer signing. We all wanted Dzeko at that time but things have changed since then.

Flamini won't leave. It could have happened if there was say 2 weeks before the window closes, but 5 days before? No way.

The only thing I see happening is the release/sale of kaladze and Janku from the squad to fund this and the probability of that I would say is 10%

Unless you were a fly on the wall at Via Turati you have no way on knowing that...

We've been linked to every striker under the sun this summer Ibra has been one of them but it has not been going on all summer. Moggi talks cr@p like he still runs the show in Italian football. He's a delusional, senile man grasping at straws. And I'd really like to see that article where it said we were going to sign Ibra in early July, I don't remember ever reading that.

We've got Boateng, that's his replacement right there in the management's eyes.

Releasing Kala and Janku from their contracts would cost us more, as we'd have to pay them their salaries in full as compensation, so at the end of the day we'd still be wading in the same pit of cr@p as we were before

Boateng is not a replacement for anyone. Allegri asked for 6 midfielders, boateng is the 6th.

releasing janku and kala would just put us in debt at the end of the day or berlu might just pay it off. It'd be around 7m; but at least we can get open up room in our wage budget.

You're still not adressing the rotation problem at DM though, past Ambro, Boateng and Pirlo our midfield is useless without Flamini. Ambro gets injured and then what do we do?

Like I said, Rino is just not an option anymore. He's lost all the traits that made him one of the best in the world, or now to even be a decent DM. Flamini is someone we cannot afford to lose.

Well, Aquilani's wearing prison stripes next year so it's an academic question.

But when he's fit? Yes, I at least think he's better than FLamini -- but remember I dont' particularly rate Flamini in the first place.

Aquilani it's kind of Pirlo's player. Even when he's fit, Flamini runs 5 time's more and that's crucial for our midfield.
I agree Aquilani is good but you can't use him together with Pirlo.

Robinho would be a massive mistake. Rotten attitude aside, ar we going to play with 2 players on the left? Both Dinho and him ocuppy the left hand side of attack, that's where they play their best football. We need a pure striker. Which is why Ibra is a good decision (football wise, attitude wise he could cause problems), Robinho is a player we don't need at all

But if they do sell Flamini that is their excuse, they'll promote Strasser and call it a day. If Silvio wants this he'll make it happen, now whether that will involve doing what's best for the team is irrelevant to him, he only cares about having his show pony to come watch on Derby days and big CL ties

We're still going to end up paying that money, so what's the point?

No one is denying that Aquilani is a great player, I am a big fan in fact. But he's very injury prone, that makes him unreliable.

I understand the concern for the dressing room in regards to Ibra's transfer, but come on guys. How many times last year did we see Borri, Huntelaar, and Inzaghi just whiff and it cost us the game? Due to their need for 10 chances to get a goal we probably lost about 5-10 points in the Serie A.

I'd like a legit RB too, but Sokratis and Zambro are not THAT bad. We could easily do better, but we can survive with them. Especially after seeing our CL group today, I'm not sure we can survive with Borri/Hunt/Pippo. Borri will make a great backup as I have said, and Pippo will allow for late game tactical changes when things are not working.

Plus, my Fifa 11 team is going to be super legit with Ronnie-Ibra-Pato. smile.gif

Still though, this deal could fall through in a heartbeat.

Man don't even worry about fifa 11. Heres the game plan.

Pirlo-->pass to ronnie

Ronnie pass to Ibra--->

Press B/circle with Ibra from 30 yards and get a corner.

Take corner with ronaldinho and send to Ibra.

Pres B/circle with Ibra you win header because he's 6 foot 5.

Repeat. You win the game biggrin.gif

He probably wants to play online and he can't do transfers for that.

Ibra is overrated in fifa games its not even funny. His shot is like a rocket launcher thats goes on target 40 yards and closer to the net.

Goalies can rarely save it. Its either a goal or a deflection or a corner from almost any distance. If your in the 18 yard box its 95% a goal even if you shoot it at the goalie it still goes through.

Game plan is this:

Press shoot enough times with ibra and you win the game cool.gif Don't need a build up or tactics cool.gif

Milan-Ibrahimovic Latest: Barcelona Striker Ibra Asks For 24 Hours To Make Up His Mind; Galliani Confirms Permanent Deal Is Only Option; Robinho Backup Option After Agreeing To Join Milan

- Two hour meeting clears haze.
- Only permanent deal is available.
- Ibra prepared to accept wage cut. Raiola confirms this.
- Galliani remains confident of closing deal.
- Robinho has agreed to join Milan, and is a backup option if Ibrahimovic falls through.

Milan's move for Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has proved dark, deep and delicate so far, but Adriano Galliani hopes to shine new light following a second round of talks with the Catalan giants and agent Mino Raiola.

An air of tension is surrounding Camp Nou after Raiola blew the deal off course earlier, claiming Milan and Barcelona were "far" from reaching a deal.

But, aware of the difficulty of the move, Galliani remains confident and undeterred by the agent's claims and he is ready to prime the move for refinement amid the very latest reports that Ibra could take a cut in wages which have so far held the deal hostage.

In fact Galliani has been spurred on by the player's will to join Milan after reportedly falling out with coach Pep Guardiola who has become frosty towards the Swede.

That strain could push a move towards a conclusion, but only after the bureacratic wheels behind Barcelona president Sandro Rosell's offices start turning.

"The player wants to join Milan," Galliani told Marca.

"Barcelona are waiting to see, but the operation is difficult because of the player's wages."

Galliani has options to work with according to Sky Sport Italia who claim Ibrahimovic is considering a wage reduction - a contrasting stance to what Raiola previously said when he claimed his man would not accept less equity.

Italian voices claim there is room to salvage and prolong talks, despite opposition from the agent.

These include a one year loan deal with the option to buy him permanently, a two year loan with the right to buy permanently, or a permanent transfer from the outset.

But, Galliani has now reacted to the hypothesis, claiming there will be no loan deals, just a permanent one.

After the meeting he told journalists: "Both Barcelona and Milan have clarified their respective positions and at this point we are working on a permanent deal.

"No loan, the road is long and I can say a deal can be concluded with 50 percent chances. I want to clarify that Marco Borriello is not for sale, but there is a deal for Huntelaar."

That has left Raiola to revise his position as the deal heads towards positive developments with a four year contract likely for the striker.

"There are things on the table, we understand everything now. Will he take a pay cut? No-one is, but in some cases it can happen."

Raiola and Galliani are now expected to meet the player to discuss personal terms later after receiving the go-ahead from Rosell.

"Galliani is free to negotiate terms with the player," said Rosell.

Raiola's confirmation that his man could take a pay cut to complete the move adds further weight to Milan's side of the scales.

Meanwhile, in a sensational addition to Milan's market, Sky Sport 24 claim that Robinho has agreed to join the Rossoneri after Ariedo Braida met the Brazilian on Wednesday, suggesting an alternative is being touted. Galliani has since confirmed this. "Robinho is the alternative," he said.

Galliani will stay in Barcelona to negotiate until the final day of the transfer window as he continues to push and shove, hopeful of bagging the Sweden striker.

UPDATE 16:00 CET: Ibrahimovic's agent, Mino Raiola, has declared that whichever club between Milan and Barcelona fails to include the Swede in their ranks for next season, they will prove, in his opinion, to be the unhappy team.

Raiola stated, "There will be a happy team and another poor devil.

"The poor devil will be the one that loses Zlatan, because, and in this I am not objective, they will without doubt have lost the best player in the world in his position."

The negotiations between all parties are currently ongoing.

also han on why I believe flamini won't be leaving is this:

Lyon have already spent around 30m this window.

They have:
Makoun
Gonalons
Toulalan

in their squad who are all DMF. I just don't see them spending another 10-15m on someone like Flamini. Their midfield signing of the season was Gourcuff. They should be well covered.

A little off topic: But i'm loving the fact that so many people are active today. I wish our forum was like this all the time <3

Selling Flamini is a good idea imo. He didn't really impress during pre-season games. He was not even a first team player all these years in Milan. He never became the same player he was in his last year in Arsenal. And he earns a crazy sum as wage which is too much comparing to his level of play.

Also, our three man midfield would look like this : Ambro - Pirlo - Boateng. The rest of midfielders are substitutes. Merkel and Strasser can play a few games, too.

So really, we don't need the man. I hate Ibra myself, but I want Milan to actually win again! and we can't win with Flamini and Huntelaar but we can do it with Ibra.

I remember the meeting with sponsers, Berlusconi said he would spend his money on a champion who can make a difference to Milan. I believe Ibra is the one.

I thought that the most expensive football player in our history will remain Rui Costa but then I remember we bought Rui for £30m (€37m).
vnata001
I agree with Tennie. This guy is scum. Our priorities are off. I would've spent 40 million completely different, and probably have 3 quality players to show for it. And this is Ibra's last big money move. Unless he retires with us, this will be a net loss. So that means that he BETTER deliver trophies. If he doesn't, I'll start mailing bullets to Via Turati.

@ Han: Robinho isn't restricted to the left. In Brazil's most recent friendly, neymar was on the left, robinho on the right. Except robinho floated around the entire pitch, playing andre santos in on the left, feeding pato in from the right, linking up with every midfielder.

I'd prefer our negotiations with Ibra to fail, take Robinho on loan, do NOT renew dinho's contract. Sign Dzeko. and Pato-Dzeko-Robinho would be our attackers.
