Fishdoll milan have just issued a hands off huntelaar approach

Keep huntelaar .. the man has magic just give him a chance and you ll see if anything sell borriello instead
Danny
I'm amazed Fabiano hasn't given up on us after last summer's 'Fabiano Fiasco'. His side enjoyed a brilliant first half of the season last year, but it tailed off so badly that the manager got fired.

He had a decent season, scoring 15, and I absolutely would take him at Milan. He's the player I wanted in the first place.

But rarely do players, who offer themselves to a club, then get signed by that club.
Fishdoll
Milan also said Kaka wasn't for sale, Suhail, and we all know how that turned out.

I maintain that while Huntelaar is a good striker, he just is not a good fit at Milan. Better for us and for him that he goes somewhere where he can excel.

EDIT: OUR FIRST OFFICIAL TRANSFER THIS WINDOW!

But it's for a primavera player. (crossposting in the primavera thread)

AC Milan announces that it has bought Giacomo Berretta (nb striker born 1992, plays w/primavera) from Albinoleffe and to have sold the full rights of keeper Daniel Offredi to Leffe in return.

wow, what a riskfull gamble... Borriello proved himself in our team, formation, and league... while Huntelaar not... selling Borriello over Huntelaar is out of case IMO

He can stay where he is. I'd rather stick with Boriello. Didn't really want him that much last season and I certainly don't want him now

Nothing special about him, especially for the amount of money he would cost us

It depends. If we're playing the 4-3-1-2 then I see no reason to sell KJH. A poacher would be useful.

In any case, I'm kind of in agreement with Milan waiting for the coach to be announced before making any serious moves. I assume any incoming player (top class) would want to have a discussion with the coach. But since Allegri is pretty much jobless, I hope he's hard at work drawing up plans.

By the way, I read he was going to the US for vacation. Does he speak English?

don't you see we already have our coach, they are just waiting so they don't have to sign anyone until it's "official"

Meanwhile, Allegri is set to go to New York on holiday, but he has apparently outlined the players he would like Milan to sign.

At the top of the list is a full-back - either Ajax's Gregory van der Wiel or Tottenham's Gareth Bale.

He has also told the club not to sell Mathieu Flamini who could become important under Allegri.

[i]Adriano Galliani, interviewed by Sky Sports, spoke to coach and market
confirming the departures of Dida and Favalli which, last week, were
rumors have emerged about possible renewals: "The next coach? You know,
is under contract until we can not officially. Is obviously happy on pole
position. The market? To buy someone we must first give. Meanwhile
We have already replaced Dida and Favalli with Storari and Yepes. In any case fans
can rest easy because the team may have to fight for the Scudetto. "

25 in 36 for his country, Brazilians traditionally excelling in Italy. He might not be Van Basten but he's world class and would enhance us no end imo.

Luis Fabiano is too old, 29 or 30y? Come on... if he's worth between 10 and 20 mio or so, then Dzeko for even 40 mio is better buy, last way longer and adds more what we need than Fabiano
Bluesummers
LOL @ the Ramires hate. Guys he's not that bad LOL!! I know benfica has way better talented players but lets be realistic here. Hunt=15m. Ramires=15m. Fair trade. Di maria=40m, not fair trade.

There are 4 excellent attributes about ramires:

1) He's brazillian, so he's automatically quality. tongue.gif

2) He can play anywhere in midfield, winger, dm, cm, am; anywhere!!

3) He's probably one of the fastest midfielders in the world. When he plays CM they say he's the fastest CM in the world.

4) Kaka said when he saw him he was "pure talent"

agreed, imo he'd be a step back and same with berbatov who we were linked with earlier. I'd rather we kept borri/hunt than sell one and sign fabiano.
X-Offender
Accroding to Sportmediaset, we might sell Dinho (ManCity), Huntelaar (Benfica or Wolfsburg) and Storari (Sampdoria) to cash in about 40m, then add the 20m available from the club's funds to have a total of 60m to spend this summer.

That would be awesome. But they also say we might sign Luis Fabiano with some of those money, which is anything but awesome. dry.gif

Jack Sparrow
That's weird. If clubs came to know that we have that kind of money, they'll be priced too high for anything. They'll probably even demand 10 million for Brocchi.

On the other hand, having replacements brought in and then selling means clubs think we're desperate to offload and so we're forced to sell cheap.
Suhail 3
it seems as though were gonna end up with fabiano if anybody another brazilian in his 30's plus hes cheaper and galliani did say one champion - cant remember us spending 40 mill on one player

fabiano it is sad.gif
Dzeko
Newspaper here report that Milan is close to Forlan, and they say that he might be that superstar player!
Jack Sparrow
Fabiano is no champion....I'd take him if he came for a low wage (~ 3.5 mill). Anelka is 10 times the player he is...and we could probably land Anelka for 15 million + Kaladze.

Fabiano = Oliveira #2.

'nuff said!
Linkman
Jesus, Fabiano's hardly the cancer you guys are making him to be!

I too think our money would be much better spent on a younger striker, but that's pretty much the only reason. Fabiano's a top-notch striker, and his price will only go up as he will likely go on to have a great world cup.

He might be good but Boriello can do what he does, and Sevilla will want to scrape us. I'd rather we go after a skilled second striker/winger sort of player to be a good backup for Pato, then waste money for a position that we don't really have any problems in. If we switch to a 2 sriker formation then we have 3 options already for Pato's strike partner.

And I still don't understand this obsession with strikers. The midfield is in a worse state. We need a box-to-box guy desperately, another fullback or 2 and maybe another attacking mid, a striker should be last on the list

JimboMilano
So wait you guys really think that KJH is better then Fabiano?
Please tell me ur kidding me. He might be 28-29 but he is by far and i mean by far a better striker then KJH in all aspects. I would invest in him for the next 2-3 yrs if we can get him for about 12-15 Mil. I don't think KJH can succedd in the SerieA.
We need a new Striker and KJH will not cut it for me. he can't really create a goal, he needs someone to provide him with a ball for him to try and put it in the net, that's not the case for Fabiano. Let's say we sell Roni and fail to get someone like Krasic to provide him? What's gonna happen? Don't expect him to succeed like Van Basten did. I am all for selling him and get someone with some kind of technique even if not Fabiano

Milan cool Fabiano link

Milan have admitted that they won’t sign Luis Fabiano, or any other striker, unless they first sell one of their forwards.

The Rossoneri are again being linked with the Brazilian a year after coming so close to grabbing his signature.

However, Vice-President Adriano Galliani has insisted that there is currently no room in the squad for the Sevilla man.

“We are well placed with centre-forwards given that we have Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Marco Borriello and Pippo Inzaghi,” said the official.

“If somebody doesn’t leave then Luis Fabiano can’t arrive. But if somebody departs then they will be replaced…

“Every player that leaves this summer will see a new player come in.

“It’s already happened with the expired contracts of Nelson Dida and Giuseppe Favalli as they’ve been replaced by Marco Storari and Mario Yepes.”

The Selecao international is reportedly available for €10m just 12 months after he was valued at €18m by the Spanish club.

He is a serious contender to be signed as Huntelaar, who Milan opted for instead last year, is being linked with a move away.

Tottenham and Benfica are understood to have already been in contact with the Italian giants over the Dutchman.

That sounds sensible. We didn't f@ck up last season coz of the forwards. It was the defence and mid-field where we really lost the battle.

What worries me, is it looks more like a Pirlo-centric mid-field again!! I love Pirlo...but even I know that playing him every match is bound to have nasty results.
Fishdoll
Which is why it's important to get an understudy for Pirlo. Whether management will actually do it...no clue.

He's too obvious for our management rolleyes.gif , and I think too good to just be left out as a sub.

If he came, which will never happen imo, not until he's 32 and a freebie, he'd have to play in a 2 striker pairing along with Pato and Dinho drifting left to center behind them.

We'll probably keep renewing with Pippo until Raul an Nistelroy retire so he can keep competing for the European top scorer slot...
Jack Sparrow
I think Pippo requested he have the shot at that record...and we allowed him that.

Truth is, if we were as strong as we were in say 2002...we'd all be applauding our club's 'heart'. While now we crucify the 'sentimentality'.

And it's not just coz I'm a Pippo fan..but to me , you're either loyal to your players or you're not. There's not in-between. And naturally vice versa.

I think sometimes loyality goes a bit too far and it's what got us in this mess to begin with.

And I'm not even talking about Favalli, Dida, Pippo, etc because they've more then done their fair share for this club and deserve to be treated with respect. I'm talking about someone like Kaladze who's been blood sucking us dry with his wages, it's not like he's ever done something worth while for us. If he was a decent man who actually cared about playing he would have moved a long time ago, he only cares about the huge pay check he's getting for doing absolutely nothing every season, and if we were a serious club we would have had him out on his @ss a long time ago.

He refuses to go to a smaller club because the wages are too low? Buy out his contract and let his snobbish @ss find a team for himself or push him into accepting an offer
Dracoris
Disappointing day.

Milannews.it says we're priced out of Hernanes and that United is after VDV, which means we'll be priced out of that one too. I know they were both dream transfers before, but it's nice to dream.

It looks like we're very close to signing Fabiano. Also, Allegri has asked us to get Marchetti and in that case Storari should remain at Samp. Also, Huntelaar is a sure goner, either to Benfica or Wolfsburg.

He was never really any good to begin with, certainly not for the ammount of time he's been at Milan and not for the amount of money he gets every year.

Also to be happy sitting on your @ss every year just so you could keep earning the big club wage, speaks volumes.

sigh.....

Its tough when big Papa Berlusca doesn't support us anymore, i guess thats life. We can only expect these kinds of transfers because realistically Galliani probably has less than 20m to spend per summer so Fabiano is probably the best option in regards to world class talent we could get for 10-15m.
Dracoris
After re-reading what I posted earlier about everything on MN.it, I realized that the VDV to United was written by a Spanish paper, so I'm assuming that it can't be very reliable. That is, a spanish paper reporting about a Dutchman's transfer to an English team.

The stuff about Hernanes was quoted to Durante, who is apparently a big time agent in Brazil, so I'll assume he knows what hes talking about, unfortunately.

EDIT: It just occurred to me that VDV does indeed play for a Spanish team, so it makes complete sense for them to be reporting about it. You'll have to excuse me, its been a long day.

Milan and Parma, as reported in a day from Sky, and as stated at the May 18 MilanNews.it of us, are still far apart to reach agreement on the future of Alberto Paloschi (20). The young striker, jointly owned by two seasons between the Rossoneri and Gialloblù, a significant risk to entrust his fate to the envelopes of the month. Requests Ghirardi, obviously, are not deemed suitable by management Rossoneri that under conditions of full austerity, can not afford certain investments. Losing Paloschi however would be a shame, since the peak a couple of interesting prospects emerging from the Youth Sector Rossoneri in recent years but, more importantly, having it blow for a small fee, as may happen by relying on envelopes, have the true taste of mockery.

milannews.it

Comon G lets be smart about this. Renew the co-own with them for 1 more year than deal with it when Inzaghi retires.

Galliani: "No that is not a good choice, we'll sell him to parma for 3m this year and then when inzaghi retires we'll buy him for 10m off parma"

Galliani: "See how smart I am, 25 years of experience really makes me stand out from others haha"

I think with a few additions, we can actually challenge for a scudetto. The CL is out of question. We dn't have the class.

Milannews.it are reporting that A.C.Milan are interested in either Acquafresca or Fabiano. I don't know about you guys but if this is the case I would personally prefer Fabiano, because of Acquafresca flopping at Atalanta, he also needs to get stronger. He seems like a thinner version of either Borriello or Luca Toni.
