He would have cost way more then that last year,is his contract coming to an end or something?

is veloso better then flamini?

Veloso is different with Flamini. He more Pirlo type player. But is stronger and faster. Of course his technique is not good as Pirlo's, but he is a good playmaker.

EDIT:

X-Offender you would spend 10 mil. on a 30 years old player ? He's average.
I'd rather keep Huntelaar than buy Fabiano.
Borriello > Fabiano

Veloso is more creative and forward going whilst flamini is a warrior in defensive midfield i want both to be honest

Flamini - Pirlo - Veloso

is fine with me wink.gif

as per goal.com Juve are heavily looking at hernanes, and inter are looking at VDW

Edit: before anyone bumps me to the genreral transfer wtv i just want to clarify these are 2 legitimate players we have been heavily linked too
ganney
i'd take a 30yr old fabiano for 10mil(3yr ctr), he could still do give borriello a decent competition for a starting role and will not hinder pato's development
+ we could sell huntelaar for 18mil and address other areas with the 8mil profit
KJH is CLEARLY a milan mis-fit cos he's too good for the bench but not good enough to start

Dracoris
10m for Fabiano is a pretty great deal. In fact, if we were never ever linked with Dzkeo, I'd be pretty happy with it. But I freaking wanted Dzeko, not Fabiano.
ganney
Berlusconi is such a cheap b*st*rd, i can just imagine him eventually laughing to the media revealing that fabiano is the great champion he had promised to sign

Galliani says:

  • Milan want Luis Fabiano.
  • Ibrahimovic won't come.
  • Gattuso won't leave for Dubai.

understandable.

We should first try to get Dzeko for up to 30 mio, because of his age 30 mio for him is not a waste of money compared to 10 mio for someone Luis Fabiano's age. If Dzeko cannot be bought for 30 mio, but Luis Fabiano can be bought for 10 mio, then okay, Luis Fabiano.

Money is there: Borriello and Huntelaar can be sold for 15 to 20 mio per piece.
il_diavolo_mtl
Veloso would be the ideal candidate to replace Seedorf in the 4-2-fantasia. he has a wicked shot

You sell Borriello and Huntelaar for 35 mil, buy Dzeko for 35. Than you have Dzeko,Dinho,Pato,Inzaghi,Zigoni and Adiyiah in attack. Pato or Dzeko get's injured, what do you do ?
Fishdoll
Have a real problem because Zigoni is probably going to be loaned. There've been a couple of stories about possible loan (loan only, not co ownership) deals for him going various places.
CHU-LIP
We seem to stop doing the co-own thingies and stick with loans. Also, I'm not so sure about the idea loaning him out.

We must sign a right winger anyway. Because when Dinho or Pato is out we're screwed anyway. The new winger can be backup for both Ronaldinho and Pato, and if Dzeko is out Pato can play CF. I keep find it sad we still don't have Paloschi (because he would be a better backup striker than Pippo I'm pretty sure). (And I said up to 30 mio.)
il_diavolo_mtl
add 4-5M to the Transfer funds (or not) Lille look really likely to buyout P-e Aubamayang
X-Offender
Adiyiah is most probably going to be sold/loaned, so I wouldn't really count him.
samira
Boriello 20m
Huntelaar 18m,
we buy Dzeko for 30m and 8 m left, if there were 2 m more, fabiano for 10 m
Boriello for 20 , I would have sold him on 0,2 seconds.
Hled for loan. And Ibra yes to loan, h*ll no to buy

Fishdoll
I would not get rid of Borriello. Huntelaar? In a second.
samira
Me niether but for 20 m .. I can't say no to that.

In terms of how they perform for Milan? Yes, I think there is.

Because Borriello simply scores more.

Because Borriello simply scores more.

That's not the issue. Both are capable of scoring goals, both are capable of also disappoint in it, Huntelaar SHOULD be the better scorer, but football is more than just that. The issue is, Huntelaar doesn't link up well with his teammates as Borriello did, at least I haven't seen Huntelaar doing this properly in Serie A. Borriello is the better worker, teamplayer, helping in defense, etc. All important aspects of the game, and important notice with Pato on a wing, you don't have a poacher like Huntelaar waiting to score goals, you rather want Borriello who helps getting Pato involved in the attack and help HIM score. It's kinda a shame Pato has to play wide, he is our best striker by far.

Both you can call either average or decent striker, but both aren't even close to world class (like Pato is), but at least with Borriello our attacks works well, so we had a good forward with Ronaldinho, Borriello and Pato.
MizNelson
As much as we're supposed to hate the gobbi, I can't blame Storari in the slightest for going to Juve. I'd have been livid if I were in his shoes and heard the news that we'd signed Amelia on loan. (And to think that, months ago, someone chose to mock my comment about Galliani declaring Abi the future GK of this club.)

So, here's our GK lineup for next season: Amelia, Abbiati and Roma. We won't exactly be keeping other Serie A offenses up nights.

I agree. And Juve are not Inter. Juve are offering him a starting spot, while we rather choose Abbiati who failed this season to keep his starting spot (those few games). I'm not sure, but I think Amelia came in the picture after Milan couldn't resist taking the 5M from Juve for Storari.

are those really THAT bad for 1st and 2nd choice options? i honestly only seen amelia the few times he's played us and in those matches he's looked like a top keeper.

Striker Debate: Fabiano vs. our current crop
He's more athletic and mobile than Huntelaar, while equally if not more clinical. Where Borriello just runs and bangs around in attack, holding up play for as long as he can until someone rescues him from wherever he is on the pitch, Fabiano takes up really intelligent positions. He either drops back a little bit to play quick one-twos to assist midfield in coming forward, OR makes space-making runs that either allow our midfielders a passing option of space to exploit.

I think that if one were to compare the three: Fabiano strikes me as the most dangerous. Borriello is a bit inefficient in his touches and finishes. Huntelaar is a bit non-existant with his touches, and a bit of a wild card (sometimes clinical, sometimes amateur). Fabiano is a goal shark - athletic, worker, clinical. He also plays with a fire for scoring, something i haven't been able to tangibly see from Hunter. Keepers are more scared of fabiano than they are the other two. Just my reading of the game.
CHU-LIP
If we end up with Luis Fabiano as our new striker, it should be Huntelaar out for sure. Huntelaar can only score goals really, while both Luis Fabiano and Pato are way better in this. Borriello can be useful while he is strong and a good teamplayer.
Bluesummers
Fabiano for 10m is a worldclass deal. He really is twice the striker of hunt and borri.
kurtsimonw
Can't see us getting Fabiano for that, they may not even sell to us. Didn't we make a rather insulting offer for him last summer or something?
MizNelson
vnata: For all the griping about Dida in this department, Amelia is regularly dogged by inconsistency, which has prevented him from joining the elite and therefore getting more call-ups from Italy. If he were all that, he wouldn't be playing the role of journeyman over the past 4-5 seasons. He'll have many good moments mixed in with not-so-good ones. Plus, he tends to shoot his mouth off when things go bad. That's what got him eventually booted out of Livorno.

I'm not saying he's the scum of the earth, but why Galliani signed him and let Storari walk has me scratching my head.
Jack Sparrow
It might be a 'respect' thing with Storari. We treat him like gold when the rest of the people are out of action, yet he's the first item to be hawked on the market, when we're done with our purpose. Abbiati had a similar problem I think.

I'd rather do a Storari+ cash for Giovinco. biggrin.gif

Excellent post.

In our current situation, I'd be happy with us signing only Otamendi, Lazzari and Fabiano, along with Yepes and Amelia. We have to face reality, we can't afford players like Dzeko and co.

Thats why Huntelaar could be sold for 18 m and Boriello for 20m .
Huntelaar for Fabiano plus there's 8 m left. how can you say no to that?
I like the way Pato and Dinho works togther and Bori is understanding it and starting to work with Dinho too while Huntelaar is standing at the other side of the field, Fabiano would probably understand that too, not just because they are brazilian. He knows how he wants the ball and how he can place it for somebody else.

Thnx smile.gif And also a right winger I hope... else we will be lacking one a lot I'm afraid
BVR
Given recent history I'd rather see no one go until we buy someone first. Once we sell there suddenly some budget deficit pops up. If anything let's get rid of the old bench-warmers, buy someone new and then mess around with the first squad.

Storari Lazzari Fabiano and Otamendi would be perfect, if we could get Dzeko would be better but he would not make a huge diffrent.

Well, Fabiano could also play in Pato's position, he has the skills.
Bluesummers
We gotta sell the dead wood before buying players like fabiano and co. imo.

Storari- 5m (Good deal for 33 year old. Imo a one season wonder. Another kalac. Its good to make some money while we still can)

Oddo- $ ??

Kaldaze- $ ??

Janku- $ ??

Get rid of these 3 first and we can fill the spots in from the youth. Then we should worry about signing players.
MizNelson
Storari another Kalac? Tell me you're not that out of the loop.

Storari helped get Samp into the CL. Kalac was good with us for oh, about four months. Then he came crashing back down to earth.
