Of course Mourinho says that!! Its all negotiation tactics...listen I'm not saying it won't be hard, but I'm saying we'll get it done.

QUOTE (Dracoris @ Aug 10 2012, 05:14 AM) *
Nope, he said ALMOST an impossible operation. That is drastically a key word. He has plenty of incentive of making statements like that in order to negotiate in the media so to speak. I don't think Madrid wants to keep Kaka, specifically because of his wages. I understand that Spain now has a tax law similar to Italy which means they will need to trim the fat and Kaka will not get that kind of wage anywhere else unless someone like PSG steps in and he is willing to go there only for the cash. If he wants to make the World Cup Squad, if he's a true Milanista, and if he just wants to simply play instead of riding the bench then he'll take the wage cut. Galliani knows this and that's why he will hold out until the last day and swoop in when Madrid is desperate.

I think he's coming. We still have a couple weeks of speculating though.

Not exactly the tax law applies only to the new contracts. The old ones signed remain the same. Kaka will not be getting en extension though.

It is pretty funny.

It's actually more sad than funny. sad.gif I'd much rather get Paloschi back.

Imagine if it happened!?

I'd rather not. mellow.gif Not after that goal celebrations he did after scoring against us in Roma. And Juventus.

GdS: Galliani have already reached an agreement with Kaka to reduce his salary. The problem is to convince Madrid for low-cost/free loan.
Jack Sparrow
Exactly, if Madrid give him to us low-cost, it makes them as laughable as Barca, and they don't want to do it. It's a respect thing.

They'll give in. No one is as interested as we are.

Yes, but they are in the position where money is a luxury and thanks to Barca pride is not.

I don't know if that's good or bad. if Borriello is our only other option then I'd take Matri on the spot.

Can't stand to see Borriello around anymore. he reminds me of bad days.

16 million for Matri is madness though. That's the last thing we should do. It would ruin the whole cheap business.

Borriello would be close to a nightmare signing though. I believe we were very fortunate with Borriello's form during that season, you know which. I expect a huge disappointment if we'd sign him.
Jack Sparrow
This is smoke. I don't see this happening.

Why spend 16 million for Matri, when you could get Berbatov who does the same thing for about less than half. And that would cover the wage difference too.
kurtsimonw
Problem with Berbatov is he is so lazy. It's fine in a good team, but when you're a B level club (which we are now) you need someone who is going to work harder for the team and Matri fits that better than Berba.
X-Offender
Just an idea: why didn't we go after Adebayor? I'm pretty sure City would have given him on loan to us.

But he did do well at Leverkusen, which was a B level club.

I'd love that.

Adebayor, Berbatov... some nice strikers out there that would offer a lot here.

One of them, and we don't rely too much on Pato.
BVR
Ade, Berba. An absolute must! After all we just cleared out our old age home, let's go ahead and refill it again with same of old then next year we'll do it again!!!

Why don't we think along the lines of Paloschi, Verdi, (Merkel). As was said before we are now a B level club and those would fit in perfectly and have a future potential.

A mediocre player and not even worth half that

And the fact that he's non-EU?

If there is one Italian I'd want, that would be G. Rossi, anyone else would be a let down and a slap in the face to the fans.

Plus with the prices being quoted for the likes of Matri, we would get Rossi for 10m most likely. At least it would be a gamble on someone very talented rather than someone who'd score 10 goals a season

Yes, and considering Juve is out of the market for players (.. and in the market for coachs ..) we have a good chance of landing him if he wants to come back to Italy. Unless, Allegri has other ideas though ..
BVR
He is not old but equally useless. We are talking about a striker who fell down picking order @ ManCity so low that he had to be loaned out. And the only reason why he had good season at Spurs was because they had no one better and he had three top midfielders to help him.I don't think we can offer himthis luxury.

Here is an alternative, we let ManCity keep Adebayor and we loan Dzeko instead.

Because ManCity are run by monkeys. And besides, we can't sign any non-EU players now that we've got Zapata.
Dracoris
My good friend is a mega-manchester supporter and he thinks Berbatov would be an excellent pick up for us...he gets very frustrated that Berbatov isn't used at United more often.

I hope not. Rossi and Milan would be ideal. I really like the guy and he has still much room to improve if you ask me.

FC Anzhi are ready to offer €28 million for Boateng. They have already offered the player a very lucrative deal.

Milan and KAKA have reached an agreement regarding his salary: €5m per year. An agreement for @KAKA still hasn't been found. Galliani wants a free 1-year loan deal, while Pérez wants €20-25m straight. (CdS).

Roma are willing to loan out Borriello to Milan for free, according to Mediaset

After Ibra, then Thiago left, I couldn't really careless who leaves anymore.

It would be hard for us to lose our remaining class players Boateng \ Cassano \ Pato.

But when it all comes down to it, no one would compare to the loss of Thiago at this point.

So... It's whatever! sleep.gif dry.gif

I hope with selling Boateng there is space to sign a creative attacking midfielder, a defensive strong midfielder who is comfy with the ball, and of course a striker as well. Cassano possibly leaving as well.

TriniKing_CE
That's the thing with this modern day Milan.

It's one thing to sell your star players, especially so at the right price, but if the money isn't being reinvested with proper quality replacements and/or in other positions of need.

How can we be expected to react in any manner other than negatively so?

Clarence Seedorf has recommended Milan to sign the 21-year-old PSV midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum. Worth 8m [Itasportpress]

With 28 million we could buy Hernanes and a great left back such as Armero.

I can't like this post enough. sad.gif Wouldn't mind one bit if they dump the whole squad for a couple of trucks of cash. The management will nevertheless find replacements (worthy or otherwise, good or bad), but as fans it's awfully hard to get over the loss of a foundation, a cornerstone, a proven champion in defense.

Who was Silva before Galliani signed him, huh Milan Curva? huh.gif No wait, don't answer it till the end of the season!

France's NT coach says Mexes' future is not sure at Milan while Corriere della Sera reports that Guardiola is looking for a house at Milano.

Manchester City has REJECTED the €51 million bid for star striker Mario Balotelli by Paris St. Germain.

The French team continues to look for a new splash after an incredible summer transfer window which has included the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thiago Silva, and Ezequiel Lavezzi.

Balotelli, who has said he would only return to Italy if he had to switched teams, will be content to remain at MC, where he'd have an even larger role next year under Mancini following an impressive Euro tournament.

I think it's more likely Guardiola will take over at Inter. We'll be stuck with Max meanwhile.

I'm all ears about Wijnaldum, never saw him play. Chu, is he good?

I am not so sure. He's an attacking midfielder, but last season he usually played either as richt-central midfielder (and quite deep, too deep for him) or as right winger (Ola Toivonen was preferred as attacking midfielder). Because of that I may have been too hard on him that season (on other forum I called him overrated and all), while it are not his best positions, especially not as deep midfielder where he should have helped defense but that didn't go well, and also because he is still only 21 years old. His strengths are attacking attributes, including heading, and pace.

At Feyenoord he looked so much better, where he was the obvious attacking midfielder. He scored especially that last season for Feyenoord a lot of goals, it was then he impressed everyone. For PSV he scored a nice amount as well, though especially early season he missed so many sitters, and basicly he was a disappointment last season. Mentally I do question him, but he is still young so if that works out well, he should do well as attacking midfielder. I remain skeptical while mental attributes are important. Either he turns out decent, or simply won't reach his potential.

It's a shame he barely has played his best position since his transfer, while now it's harder to judge him as an attacking midfielder and that's the only position we should want him for, if we should want him at all. I can't feel excited when reading his name, but that is based on a season playing as right-central midfielder (except for left-central midfielder Kevin Strootman, he was the midfielder who had the most defensive responsibility, and that just makes no sense) and winger. So of course he wasn't at his best last season.

I don't think he will become that good. There are several better young Dutch midfielders than him in the Eredivisie. Players that look good both technically and mentally. Wijnaldum feels too much of a gamble to me.
