I think things are being over-exaggerated here, I mean yes it isn't nice too see your best players leave at one time, but the only thing that bothers me about their sale is that Galliani lied to us. If Galliani were to say from the start that we are having money problems and we have/need to sell them, then I wouldn't mind them leaving, I've honestly seen greater players wear the Red and Black Jersey, and we've been fine without them, the only thing that disappoints me is the way things went down, after denying for so long.
Thats it though, other than that, screw them, we are A.C. Milan. Sure we probably will struggle this season, but what team doesn't face tough times? Even Barcelona endured some tough times before having players like Ronaldinho and Messi.
The situation we are in is a great test to see the true milan supporters, we shouldn't be criticizing, we shouldn't be protesting, we should be filling the stadium whether we are winning or losing, its that simple.
Looking at our squad, call me delusional or call me optimistic, I feel we've got a decent team as Rossoneri 7 said, we are 3 or 4 players away from having a good team competing for the Champions League or the league, I think what is really needed is a CB, DM and a striker anything else would be a bonus.

I hope you guys don't take offense to this its just how i feel to be honest.

There's a big difference between Milan post-Sheva and post-Kaka and Milan post-Silva & Ibra. when the former two left, we still had many champions, we still had great or at least decent teams, they added something special but without them we could still go on. whether some of us like it or not, right now Milan is a mediocre team that lacks quality in many positions and I'm afraid our low budget won't be enough to cover it all.

I guess you'll see the difference when we play on a weekly basis in Serie A and, I hate to remind myself of it, the CL.

Actually i disagree, I feel that we were in a worse situation when Kaka' left. A) We lost our best player. B ) We lost our captain and one of our best defenders that season. C) We lost our coach, who was coaching us for 8 years. D) We got a coach who didn't know what he was doing.
I remember things looked bleak for us, we didn't fix the attack problem that we had at the time, Gattuso, Pirlo and Ambrosini were starting to offer us nothing, Seedorf was the only one that was actually doing something for us, from the old guard. Nesta missed a whole season due to injury and many people were questioning his fitness issues and whether he would be able to play, no one knew if Thiago Silva would become this good, he was unknown to us. We didn't have decent fullbacks at the time either, apart from Zambrotta, we didn't know how good or how bad antonini was cuz he missed a huge chunk of his first season due to injury, we didn't know how good or how bad abate was. Finally Ronaldinho was the big question, he had an awful first season with milan, no one thought he would be able to replace Kaka'.
One other thing was that, the team was old!
At least now we could see that the team is getting younger, yes there are a few questions to be answered but if you deeply look at it, we still have; Mexes who's okay, Abate who's decent and I think he hasn't yet met his potential, Boateng, Nocerino, Montolivio (who I'm a big fan of), Robinho who like Ronaldinho when he sets his mind to it he could be the best player on the pitch, Pato and Cassano
My only worry is the 3 or 4 players we sign, and injuries.
Other than that, we are in a much better position than when Kaka' left us.

Personally I feel that Montolivo is criminially underrated... both because he plays in Italy, and the way in which he does his buisness (very quiet, with good yet not flashy passing). I think his true colors were shown at the Euro where he was one of the best midfielders of the tournament. I am hoping for a real breakout from him.

What you think we should just be happy that the club makes poor managerial decisions and we pay the price year after year? Or should I be a sheep like you and just support berlusconi even if he doesn't give 2 sh*ts about Milan anymore

and just fyi if i wasn't a hardcore milanista, i wouldn't have spent the hours upon hours of my time researching the club from top to bottom, or suscribing to the channels that play Milan games (which cost alot here in canada),

Well said blue. I find the smug attitude R7 has taken on recently to be annoying at best. Like he is trying to out fan everyone else by sticking with the team no matter what. Just ignore his trolling and keep doing what you do. Trust me, your work assembling transfer market info is very appreciated and no one else doubts your loyalties.

-TASCI: "If there's any team that is interested on me, they must talk directly with Stuttgart."

-We have contact Arsene Wenger about Bendtnder. Wenger has said that he's willing to negotiate.

-We are out of the Van Persie deal. He has said that he wants to be paid around 12m per season.

-Several investors from the middle east and asia have contacted us about buying shares. Finivest has rejected the notion of foreign investors in the past regarding AC Milan. But the media believes that the company no longer wishes to support milan as they have their own financial troubles. Marina Berlusconi the chair of Finivest has never agreed with Silvio pumping so much company into milan in the past.

-El Shaarawy: "I hope and I imagine that the club will replace Ibrahimovic, although I want to play more throughout the season".

-Galatasaray has joined us in the race for Bentdner. His price is around 8m euros.

-After our initial contact with montpellier over YM, things have been going well. Their president, Louis Nicollin, has given Yanga-Mbiwa's agent permission to negotiate with Milan. Reported price is from 3-6m. His contract expires next year.

-Allegri: "we will sign players before august 31. Cassano leaving? No he will remain"

-Palermo's Director of sport has said that Balzaretti wants to go PSG and said it was very possible but won't happen until august.

-Corinthians have joined the race for Kaka and so have PSG. Corinithians have offered madrid loan + buy option.

French media saying we are gonna sign Yanga. The player wants Milan bad and the club is willing to negotiate around 5m for him. Hope we get this done before the turkish clubs come. They seem to follow us on every target.

PS: he was a big part of why monty won ligue 1 last year. He is their club captain too at just age 23 lol

He plays a lot like Thiago Silva.
han2503
Well he looks top notch on youtube, but you can never tell watching clips.

I'm not going to judge as I won't pretend that I watch any French footy. But he looks very good and getting him for that price would be a bargain definately and would free up some more money for attack and maybe midfield if the 10m budget for defence is true.

Him and Mexes could work well together

Haha, De Gigolo is probably an intentional misspelling of De Sciglio. You know what a gigolo is, right? Anyway, I've never read anything of the sorts. If Barbera was cheating on Pato with De Sciglio, there would have been a huge coverage by the media. No idea how Blue came up with that, but it's definitely not true.

I was thinking about our current market budget, and considering we don't have enough money, I asked myself: do we really need a new striker? We have four pretty good forwards at the moment. Robinho and El Shaarawy looked really vivid and sharp last night, especially the latter. Maybe now it's finally time for Stephan to make that leap in quality and become a trustworthy alternative in our attack. Pato and Cassano usually work well together, and Antonio can be our creative mastermind now that Ibra's gone. So yeah, I'd rather spend the money we have on a CB, LB and DM. Those are areas that need emergent intervention.

I agree with X-Offender, though I share your concern about Pato staying injury-free.

If we get Yanga we may be a little better off with our back line ("if" is the key word - and I am basing my statement on what I am reading here, as I know nothing about the guy), in which case we should focus on the midfield next. With Yanga and a solid midfield addition we may not be as badly off as some of you fear.

I agree. I have a feeling that Monto needs quality players around him to perform at his best (IMHO, his performance in Nazionale has been much better than with Fiorentina).

Agree (sort of). Even if on paper it still looks like a good forward line, certainly better than what Juve have for example. In actuality there are various problems with that line of attackers. Robinho is unimaginably wasteful, Pato obtains more injuries than he scores actual goals, Cassano can be up and down in fitness and such while El Shaa is still relatively unproven.

That being said, I'd rather do as you're saying than go out and waste 10m on the likes of Pazzini or Matri.

1 thing I'd like to add is that aside from those 3 positions, we need another creative mid. Montolivo alone is simply not going to cut it

QUOTE
Montpellier have slammed reports of Milan’s €6m bid for Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa. “Triple that would not be enough.”

L’Equipe newspaper suggested an offer had come in for €5-6m and advanced negotiations were in progress for the centre-back.

“Yanga-Mbiwa will not leave,” blasted Montpellier President Louis Nicollin on France Football.

“This is clear as day. In order to have advanced negotiations with Milan, we would need to have an agreement. We don’t have an agreement, so there are no advanced negotiations!

“I know that they offered around €6m, but even triple that would not be enough.”

Yanga-Mbiwa has only one year left to run on his Montpellier contract.

“I am not even looking for a replacement, so he will definitely not be leaving. I don’t care if he’s nearing the end of his contract. It’s not important and I don’t care!”

And what about that?

That's it! Will the player stay? He should have decided earlier, that way I would have had the time to sign a replacement. This way he'll automatically stay for another season. I don't care if he'll become a free agent next summer. What if Milan make an offer? I was thinking of €6 million, now they should offer three times more. And even if they do, it's still not certain that we'll let him leave. PSG's money? I don't know, I don't care about PSG's money. They should offer us the same amount that they received for Thiago Silva. Yanga-Mbwia will not leave".

-Silvio Berlusconi has called all of his children to his villa in Sardinia. Reports suggest that they will discuss the future of Milan and if the children want to continue their fathers legacy or not. The media believes that there is interest in share purchases from foreign investors and berlusconi might be looking to sell.

-The ultras are furious at a summer that has seen players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thiago Silva, Alessandro Nesta, Clarence Seedorf, Gennaro Gattuso, Mark Van Bommel and Pippo Inzaghi leave.

This afternoon a group of fans even created a funeral scene in front of the club headquarters in Via Turati marking the ‘death’ of the Rossoneri with flowers and candles.

This comes just hours after Milan confirmed they were willing to reimburse unhappy season ticket holders, after a group of fans started a class action lawsuit for ‘false advertising.’

“The decision to reimburse season ticket holders has nothing to do with any legal action,” insisted director Leandro Cantamessa.

“It is an issue of style and a response to those who are unhappy. After all, a season ticket holder for a football club is like that of a theatre season. The substitution of a tenor does not equate with reimbursement.

“We are not obliged to play those who are in the squad at the time of the season ticket purchase.”

The situation is deteriorating after last night’s Trofeo TIM saw Milan lose both mini-matches against Inter and Juventus.

It is rumoured President Berlusconi could be preparing a video message for Milan Channel in which he’ll reassure fans on the future strategy of the club.

-CANTAMESSA (Milan's lawyer): "The decision of reimbursing the fans, wasn't based on any legal assessment"

CANTAMESSA (Milan's lawyer): "Our decision of reimbursing the season tickets is a matter of style and class, an aesthetic answer"

At the summit of Villa Certosa has talked about Kaka

In yesterday's summit at Villa Certosa held by Berlusconi and his sons were also focused on the possible return of Kaka at Milan. It says the Corriere dello Sport , which emphasizes that Barbara, lately more and more involved in Milan, has proposed a plan to improve the relationship with a certain part of the fans, disappointed with the transfer market. This plan would be to return to AC Milan former golden child. The Brazilian turned down proposals giuntegli from Brazil, the most interesting of the Corinthians, because he wants to be playing in Europe. His approach in the medium term is to convince the coach of the verdict, Mano Menezes to convene for the 2014 World Cup, which will be held in Brazil. The Brazilian and his family are convinced that only Milan could revive it at high levels. The conditions for it to be the return of former Ballon d'Or in Milan are pretty clear: The Real Madrid will have to accept to sell the Brazilian free loan for one year. Moreover, the player must at least halve its current engagement, about 10 million net per year.
