I think we've gone unnecassarily off topic here. Who cares about the German NT, they'll never beat Italy anyway so lets move on!!

Give us an update blue!
It was an interesting discussion. And seeing how it seems like Zed's main issue was being Fillipo denying Tasci being a Turkish player, I actually tend to agree to an extend with him, while I do believe if anything his identity is a mix of both Turkisch and German. Though I would call him a German player since he chose for Germany, but that doesn't mean he is just that I guess.
Which made me think about a discussion I saw the other day on tv (a nice while back). Some Dutch football experts, on a football talk show, talked about this player playing for a country and he didn't celebrate when he scored against the country of his parent(s). They talked about how this was a discrage, while he picked for this country so he must act like it. Obviously the ones who said that were 100% Dutch (as in so are their parents), so I'd say they are ignorant! They don't know how it is to have parent(s) from a different country than yours. The player obviously didn't want to disrespect his family, so he didn't cheer. What's the problem with that? Afterall, he did his best for his national team, hell, he scored.
Maybe this has not much to do with the discussion (but I was so upset about it so love to rant about it), except for I guess it does show someone like that could have feelings for both countries. So I guess his identity is a mix of both, and it's good that one can choose himself to play for which one.
