You are not. Bringing Kaka' back is always smart because he's a world class player ...... But it won't be smart if we pay Real Madrid a hefty transfer fee since we just sold Thiago Silva because we want to erase our debts or whatever. It would also be unwise to pay him high wages since that's the reason we got rid of Ibrahimovic in the first place.
The only way to get Kaka' is if we can convince him to take a pay-cut in his current wages at Real Madrid and somehow fool them into selling Kaka' for cheap. Since that situation is unlikely at this point (not impossible), a lot of us are trying to be realistic by not paying much attention to this deal but rather on someone that we can afford i.e talented young players, unproven players, average players and of course rubbish players.

You're not alone. I agree with you, Milan will never pay him 8 mil. wages, I read Kaka and Milan agreed on 5.5 m + bonuses. Nevertheless, he'll add a lot to the team. He'll calm the fans, cold the bloods of the players, add a lot technically to the squad. I believe he doesn't have those dribbling skills anymore, but he's a great passer, creator and assister. A fast duo like Robinho and Pato should/would benifit a lot from him.

Javi Martinez also can play as central defender, and very well. Jérôme Boateng has been a disappointment in central defense in my opinion. I'd trust Dante over him any day of the week. They won't change the formation, I don't see why. 4-2-3-1 and 4-5-1 are pretty much the same, by the way, so what changes you have in mind anyway?

I would bench Boateng, and form a central defense existing of two of Dante, Badstuber and Martinez. Also, Kroos is the starting attacking midfielder. Thomas Müller will start many games, but is probably nowhere first choice. Badstuber and Martinez in central defense, with Schweinsteiger and Luiz Gustavo in central/defensive midfield, would be very good, and much better than what Bayern had last season. They upgraded where they needed to. Schweinsteiger and Martinez in midfield is very possible as well, but also then I'd bench Boateng thus play Dante.

If Thomas Müller will be a starter, it will be instead of Robben. Last season it happened, so yes, that's a possibility.
I also am not very high on Badstuber, but I don't expect he gets benched, and he is better than Boateng if you ask me. It's very possible Dante is better than him as well. I've seen a bit pre-season with Dante, and he really looked good. With Gladbach he was very solid as well. Martinez and Dante could be the strongest pair, but also a complete new one. I wanted to name that pair, but it's hard to imagine for me Badstuber getting benched. What the case is now that Bayern has everywhere good depth, and that is what they want to have, I figure.

I am used to call that 4-3-3 (the second one you posted), but now I see the difference which is in midfield (one man behind two instead of vice versa). Unsure why Bayern would do that though.

Who we have who can give accurate long balls? Not too many...
I think and hope it's mostly to trouble defenders, so that it would benefit other players, easier to score.

You know what makes me mad?
To be quite frank, I dislike Mexes. He's a dirty player (just remember the Coppa game) all Bonnucci with more class. He's injury prone, relatively old and has an annoying overall appearance.
But with him left we have two veterans, a rookie amateur and one possibly good solution (Zapata) combined with very average fullbacks at best. It will most the definitively be the worst Milan defense since the early 1980's.
So why on earth would we trade a relatively good player who has still more then half of his contract running for a washed out second-rate striker? At least we could try harder, get a better player in exchange or money.
d'Arc.LP
Aug 16 2012, 09:46 PM
We were playing Pirlo, Seedorf and Ronaldinho and yet Borriello failed to finish the chances he had, and if he's good at something it's that. So if Allegri wants to play with long balls, I think he'd know that there's no way Borriello is the answer. Nevertheless, seeing Pato is doing good as CF with Brazil, I wouldn't be surprised with him playing as a CF with Robinho/Cassano next to him. I still think we're good at that department and we should concentrate our all budget for an attacking midfielder OR a DM.
I don't think there will be lots of activity from Milan till the end of transfer market window. Besides an AMF or a DM, I don't expect anyone else now. But in case we achieve to sell Mesbah and Didac, I expect us to go for a LB and if Mexes gets sold then a CB a real one is a necessarity, but not someone like Zapata and Acerbi.

I don't think so. Not impressed with his finishing skills. The season with Ronaldinho, Borriello and Pato up front, Borriello was there to help Ronaldinho and Pato doing that what they do so well. Borriello was very hard-working, moved a lot, and could hold the ball. Ronaldinho on the other hand was static, so needed someone like Borriello. With Borriello up front he gets attention from (central) defenders, so that Pato has more pace to score goals. Pato scored a lot of goals, and Ronaldinho made a lot of assists, and Borriello helped them doing that. And because Borriello himself was a starter he played many games, which he needed to get in form. I don't think he would make a good sub, and he shouldn't be a starter either.
