10 mio for Matri is money you won't get back. If we are spending money,why not on players who will be worth more than that in the next years? We have money issues; we have to spend money wisely.

Matri is absolutely worth 10m, but I do agree with CHU that he has no resale value. Milan's recent moves suggest that resale value is something that would be high on their list of priorities.

Galliani is obviously in a very bad situation. When asked yesterday about any words to the fans regarding the sales of Ibra and Silva, the obscure look on his face told everything. I think he was pushed against his will by Berlusconi and the board to make these sales, and now he doesn't have any money to purchase worthy replacements and also fill those holes left by the departure of Nesta, Zambrotta, Van Bommel, Seedorf, Gattuso, Inzaghi etc. Like Italians would say, 'siamo nella merda'.

I swear to God, if we get RvP, I will go out and buy the first Milan uniform with his name that I see, the moment they're available. I'd take Van Persie over even Dzeko and Tevez put together, as I can think of no better replacement for Ibra ( ) than RvP short of Lionel Messi himself.

Considering all names, Leandro and Persie seem the best options.

What I don't get is why we are ready to give Pazzini or Matri another chance. Clearly they failed/didn't excel on the big scene and now we have to be the ones providing another chance.

They are both fine. But like most strikers, can't work with an ameteur midfield.

Nah kurt, I can see why you like Matri, he's decent enough striker but not the kind to lead our attack. he's a good player to have as backup or as support to a better/world class striker, but anything more than that and he'll flop.

Signing the likes of Matri and Pazzini to replace Ibra is a real slap in the face to the fans.

Lets not forget the partnership Pazzini and Fantonio had a Sampdoria it was pretty decent. I'm not usually negative but i have this little point to get off my chest.....sure Allegri didn't have much if any say in Silva and Ibra leaving but surely he has a say in replacements, and all i hear and see is mediocre players being linked. Another point to think about is....if we are really serious about Matri, he is not a champion. We were promised a champion. So either A) We will buy a 'champion' midfielder or defender Its a smoke screen or C) It is already known that we will be offloading Cassano or Robinho and Matri is going to fill that hole.

How can Matri fill in a hole left by either Cassano or Robinho? Matri is a target man, a mediocre one, but still a target man. We have no use for someone like him with the midfield we have

Buying Matri would rub salt into an already gaping wound for the fans. As not only would we be replacing Ibra by a dud but we'll also potentially be funding Juve's move for RvP. Can it get more stupid than that?
