10 mio for Matri is money you won't get back. If we are spending money, why not on players who will be worth more than that in the next years? We have money issues; we have to spend money wisely.

Matri is absolutely worth 10m, but I do agree with CHU that he has no resale value. Milan's recent moves suggest that resale value is something that would be high on their list of priorities.

Galliani is obviously in a very bad situation. When asked yesterday about any words to the fans regarding the sales of Ibra and Silva, the obscure look on his face told everything. I think he was pushed against his will by Berlusconi and the board to make these sales, and now he doesn't have any money to purchase worthy replacements and also fill those holes left by the departure of Nesta, Zambrotta, Van Bommel, Seedorf, Gattuso, Inzaghi etc. Like Italians would say, 'siamo nella merda'.

I swear to God, if we get RvP, I will go out and buy the first Milan uniform with his name that I see, the moment they're available. I'd take Van Persie over even Dzeko and Tevez put together, as I can think of no better replacement for Ibra (

Considering all names, Leandro and Persie seem the best options.
What I don't get is why we are ready to give Pazzini or Matri another chance. Clearly they failed/didn't excel on the big scene and now we have to be the ones providing another chance.

Nah kurt, I can see why you like Matri, he's decent enough striker but not the kind to lead our attack. he's a good player to have as backup or as support to a better/world class striker, but anything more than that and he'll flop.

Lets not forget the partnership Pazzini and Fantonio had a Sampdoria it was pretty decent. I'm not usually negative but i have this little point to get off my chest.....sure Allegri didn't have much if any say in Silva and Ibra leaving but surely he has a say in replacements, and all i hear and see is mediocre players being linked. Another point to think about is....if we are really serious about Matri, he is not a champion. We were promised a champion. So either A) We will buy a 'champion' midfielder or defender

Its a smoke screen or C) It is already known that we will be offloading Cassano or Robinho and Matri is going to fill that hole.

How can Matri fill in a hole left by either Cassano or Robinho? Matri is a target man, a mediocre one, but still a target man. We have no use for someone like him with the midfield we have
Buying Matri would rub salt into an already gaping wound for the fans. As not only would we be replacing Ibra by a dud but we'll also potentially be funding Juve's move for RvP. Can it get more stupid than that?

News:
-Oscar Cardozo's agent has offered his client to Milan, but galliani has said were not interested in him.
-Mino Raiola: '"Marek Hamsik is a great player. If you feel like a great player you need to test yourself in different environments to prove your value. (Napoli president) De Laurentiis won't agree with me, but he needs to understand that there's a limit to how much you can squeeze out of a transfer."
-We are after Lisandro Lopez, you all already know him. Defender worth 4m.
-Galliano has told santos to f*ck off for good. We will not sell Robinho to them.
-We are after previous Brazil U20 captain Bruno Uvini. 21 now and PLays for Sao Paolo. We are going in the transfer with Pescara. We plan to co-own him together. Hes got an italian passport.
-We are after Matri but will not meet Juve's 15m valuation. We want him for less than 10. The media believes that Juventus are desperate for a striker but do not currently have the funds to purchase one and need to offload before they can buy. They believe that Galliani will wait until Juve is desperate and swoop in for a big discount off matri. Juventus are linked with RVP but their budget is almost empty as they've splashed on alot of players so far this window.
-Another option is a loan deal, which galliani is putting together at the moment. But Juve wishes to offload him permanently. We will know more next week.
-Villareal director has said that Rossi will leave the club in August. We along with the rest of europe are linked. Napoli and Roma want him bad.
-We have pulled out of Tevez and Dzeko deals. Galliani has decided that Milan will put in a wage structure with a salary cap for the club that prevents it from spending excessively on player wages. Dzeko and Tevez currently earn more than 6m and are not willing to go lower than that, therefore they are out.
-leandro Damaio at this moment is not a target for us as his price tag is around 25m, which is more than half our budget. It is believed Galliani has somewhere between 35-40m for replacements.
-Inter's approach for Ibrahim Affelay has been rejected. The dutch play maker does not wish to move to Inter.
-We have contacted Inter about a possible move for Rannochia. Inter are looking to offload players and deem Ranochia expendable. However, the big problem is his price tag which stands at 15m. We are not willing to pay more than 10m for the talented italian.
-Manchester United are readying a 31m euro bid for Van Persie. Ferguson wants him bad.
-Torino's director: "Ogbonna will not leave torino and he is currently indispensable to the club."
