Inter have gone crazy again. love it.
kurtsimonw
I think they've gone crazy in a good way. Maicon, JC, Lucio were amongst the best in the World a few years back, but whislt still good players they're on the decline. If this was us, they'd still be at the club in 5 years time I think. Hopefully they re-invest unwisely.

News:

Some interesting stuff...

-Serie A has just signed a TV rights deal worth around 1 billion Euros+

-Reports in Italy are saying that Raiola has contacted Galliani about a MVB replacement. He's identified De Jong as a suitable candiate and it is reported that they will have a meeting about this in the next few days.

-Milan have told Robinho that he has 3 options.

1) Transfer to Santos

2) Transfer to Malaga

3) Lower your wage

please take any of the first two
kurtsimonw
De Jong? Come on, we're better than that.
Fillipo Simone
De Jong isn't good enough. I'd rather take my chances with Ambro and Strasser then.

I can understand their decision to let Maicon and Lucio go, but not Cesar. he's a great and relatively young goalkeeper who can play another 3-4 years at the highest level. surely Cmabiasso and Stankovic should go first.
Bluesummers
Can we even afford De Jong? I doubt we'll get any big names.

I can see Robinho leaving though. Someones gotta go. Its gonna be either Cassano or Robinho.

I hope we sign destro though. Great talent.

Mesbah is very close to signing for Torino, at the point that we've removed his name and number for shirt personalizations from the official Milan Store.

kurtsimonw
Has to be one of our worst ever players.
Fillipo Simone
Yes. So I'm glad to see him as far as possible from Milanello. Still, I wish him well at Torino, a club I always admired because of their tragic and heroic past.
kurtsimonw
Agreed.

No, I just thought it was odd the Milan News twitter was quoting him, seeing as he has nothing to do with us.

Would love to see Guardiola here and start a project. He has a lot to teach us and perhaps we have somethings to teach him.

I think I'll wait a little before even considering Guardiola, until he can prove he doesn't need 5 of the top 10 players in World football to achieve something.

I want to see him elsewhere too but that bunch of players were not even close to as good as they have become when he took over and the team as a whole was a mess. Yes he has had talent but he did an enormous job with it in my opinion.

Agreed, let's see what the next in line will do this season. As this game they play requires a high level of dedication and motivation for it to work; on top of the fact that they know their tactics like the back of their hand.

-Galliani: "Numerically, our squad is complete. If a player to leave us, then someone will arrive to replace him. That's the truth."

-We have scheduled a meeting with Cassano's agent. The objective is to look to extend his contract to 2015. If an extention fails we will look to sell him.

-Milan and Inter are both linked with Nigel De Jong.

-Official: Nesta joins Montreal Impact

-Inter have not called up Julio Cesar for Inter's preseason start. The Goalkeeper has been told he is not wanted at the club and to find a solution.

-Julio Cesar: "The rumors about Milan and I? There's nothing official with regard to that." The media believes that we are currently negotating terms with his agent.

-Danielle Massaro our clubs Director of Public relations has said following statement:

"Berlusconi and Allegri have planned a great strategy for the transfer market. Milan will be competitive on all fronts."

-A wide variety sources in spain and Italy have said that we've come to contract terms with Guardiola. He will take over milan for the 2013/2014 season. Guardiola wishes to have a year off to rest before joining Milan. The press are now speculating this may be part of the reasoning as to why Berlusconi has been reluctant to spend this summer so far.

-Alexander Merkel: "My main priority is to play, and at the moment, I see many more chances of playing at Genoa than at Milan"

---------------

-Juventus are favorites to sign Robin Van Persie this summer. The strike prefers Juve as his number 1 destination. Juventus are prepared to offer RVP 8m per season.

-Spartak Moscow are close to completing the signing of ex milan product Davide Astori. Reported Price is 15m Euros.

-Juve have offered 16m for Ac Milan target Mattia Destro. 8m to genoa and 8m to Siena.

-Inter have completed 2 signings.

1) Handanovic= 11.7 + 50% of Davide Faraone

2) Silvestre= 2m + option to buy for 7m

-Verratti to PSG is almost done. Official Price is 12m euros.

News:

BIG news from FIFA.

1) Goal Line technology has finally been approved for use. It will be used at the club world cup this year.

2) Hijabs have been approved for female soccer players. 2 prototypes have been approved. Theyve been banned since 2007 for safety reasons. The ban has now been lifted.

So as it looks more than likely of Julio Cesare arriving. What do you guys think about a new goalie?

I'd personally prefer Julio over Abs. What about you guys?
maldini03
I don't understand it tbh, havent we already bought two young gk's? Isn't it just a waste of resources we could use elsewhere? I mean the gap between today's Abi vs Julio C. isnt that wide. I it were him when Inter won the treble I'd say sure in a heartbeat, but now he will just take up space and money that could be used elsewhere.

Im not saying these kids will turn out to be the next Buffon and Dida, but Julio C isn't getting younger, he will probably sap money from an already tight budget...

I'm undecided. How will his wage compare to Abbiati and how much can we get from selling our friendly fascist?

He took over after Spain won the Euros. Hardly a bad group of players.

News:

-Pep will be in moscow today. There are talks regarding him taking over russia.

-Galliani spoke to the press and this is what he said:

Galliani: ""The market is closed because numerically we are good. If someone were to leave then there will be some coming. There are currently no bids for Robinho, we have 5 strikers. A deal for Julio Cesar does not exist. He is a person who I admire very much but we have three great goalkeepers in Abbiati, Amelia, and Gabriel. "

Inter are treating him very badly, shocking.

I find it hard to believe Galliani won't be tempted to sign an out of contract Cesar. that's the kind of deal this man lives for. he can say all he wants, Cesar will be signed as "a gift from the president".

But I still think it would be a superb addition. IMO he's better then Abbiati, and if he regains his previous form and stays out of injuries (which worries me most) he'd be a classy addition. Not that we needed addition elsewhere, but anyway...
Zed.D
I agree completely. a change of clubs could give him that extra push to get back to his very best again. I know we're in a bad situation financially and that we need improvements in other areas more than we need in GK, but I hope we sign him in the end.
han2503
Sometimes I just don't get the management, Galliani can talk all he wants but we all know that's BS

But I just don't get why they focus on areas that we don't really need any additional players in, while other areas are seemingly overlooked when those areas are desperate for someone decent to fill that position.

At this point in time a DM should be a critical acquisition, not just a simple need, but it's imperative that we find someone who can fill in for VB. Saying that we have 2 players for ever position is just ridiculous as only Ambro can fill in the DM position and play it in the way Allegri requires in his system

I get what you're saying Filippo, J.C is better than Abbiati and would be a good signing, but he's not really needed imo and like someone else said above, it's a waste of resources that could be used elsewhere. Those 2.2m could be used in offering a player like Strrotman a decent contract

Focus? Even if we sign him, it's hardly us focusing on different positions/keepers. It's a gift from heaven, a funny constellation of things (Inter deciding to treat him like he's some second rate keeper, him wanting to stay in Milano) that we decided to turn in our favor. I see nothing wrong in it, when will we have the next opportunity to sign a world class keeper like him?

As for Strootman, he's become a magical word these days. Are you sure we could need those 2.2m? I don't know a thing about Strootman, the link has been dead for weeks now and I think we can cross the kid of our list.
I'm also positive that we'll sign a new DM if the opportunity comes, with or without JC.

I know it's an opportunity, that's why I said that I agreed with you to an extent. However, it's not a position that we're desperate to fill

While the DM position is in the desperate region and not something we could wait for an opportunity to present itself. It's a position where Galliani absolutely has to take action to fill. Strootman was an example, we've already lost out on Lass because all we could offer him was a contract that only a player coming from a bottom table team would accept

I strongly disagree. Lass wanted the money, that's why he's gone for Turkey. But in reality he's nothing but an overrated mediocre player who hasn't played a real season in ages. He sure wasn't worth the money Fener gave him. I'd rather take my chances with Strasser, how bad can the kid be?

+∞ sleep.gif Multiple +∞ even. Very well put, man. The only reason Galliani went for him was that he thought he'd be able to rope in Lass for free. And now the player has rejected us twice. As for the quality, I never was sold on the guy, there's a reason why he graced the benches of Real Madrid.

I too would take Strasser in the starting XI any day of the week. Good player he is, he can only improve.

Lass imo is a very good DM, I've wathed him at Real, Chelsea, Arsenal and a few Pompey games. At Chelsea he didn't find his feet much as he was forced to play at RB most times, while at Real he really came into his own before they bought flashier players like Khedira and Alonso.

the fact is that he could have really improved our midfield, and yes he wanted money, but I'm sure that had we offered him something decent he would have chosen Milan over a Turkish club.

As for Strasser, he's just not ready to be our starting DM, no matter how hopeful some people are that we'll finally be able to see a Primavera player finally make it into the senior squad. Add to that he's missed nearly an entire season worth of development through injury. We abolsutely need a new DM, and imo, wasting resources on a keeper is just not the right decision. And it's not like we're talking about Casillas here, Cesar's good days have long passed

I'm sorry man, I've lived in Italy for more than 3 years and I've never heard of such thing. I mean, sure, there is friction between the north and the south, everyone knows that. But going as far as saying that the presidents and owners of the southern clubs refuse or are reluctant to sell their players to the northern clubs is absolutely untrue. Dozens of transfers like that occur every year.

Yes, that's what surprised me, since you lived there. Maybe this point was never brought up. unsure.gif I obviously have a second-hand knowledge of thing, never visited Italy. But regardless, like I said, the friction is there, and while players do transfer between clubs of all regions, I've very rarely seen big talents being sold to the big Northern clubs. Anyway, the rift is surely not as strong/big as it was in the 80s and 90s.

Also like I said, maybe they have a special grudge for AC Milan because of the Berlusconi connection.

QUOTE (mishie @ Jul 3 2012, 11:17 PM) *
easy tiger i got southern blood in me!

I of course, exclusively meant the club owners of Southern Italian cities, and the real mafia there. smile.gif Surely not the people, which in fact, I am not the type to divide people up, in any country for that matter. An average citizen in any country of the world, just wants to live a peaceful and fulfilling life.

But usually it's the people in power (or should I say the wolves in power) that spoil everything.

[sorry there were some erros, look on next page for wages]

Jack Sparrow
Even assuming the other 4 players add in other 15 million, that's still a very good wage we're paying (122 million). We could possibly only shave off another 2 million by replacing Robinho with some other comparable player.

The commercial revenues and the TV revenues should go up this season. And finally that just leaves us with the all important stadium financing issue.

+1.. i dont see the pother players adding anything more than 10m.. but this does show how poor our wage strucure been for the last coule of years. No wonder Gallaini use to say so much about tax.. the impact of tax is just WOW

Our clubs financial problem is due to the wage budget.

Lets take a look.

So this what we pay every year, check it out. (remember we pay their tax)
First column is last year's. Second column is this years.

Edited and updated.

We've had poor management in this department for a number of years and we've paid the penalty for it. But now that we've cut down huge by getting rid of the seniors (30m to be exact), id say we do have some money. Where is this money going? I'm gonna guess to the debt.

Where did you get that blue?

I find it hard to believe that we pay as much in on taxes as we do on the actual wage of the players. Zlatan is on 9m per year, how does that exactly translate to 18m including taxes?

These are the wages we were paying according to Gazzati for last season and the one before it
