Really? Coz Kaka is progressively useless the further he gets from the edge of the 18 yard box.

One of the stupidest things I've read in years!!
It has to be Monto in front of the defence, Noce and Boateng on the sides and Kaka behind the front 2 or it won't work

Hmm...so we are linked with Caen's striker called M'Baye Niang.
He was an Arsenal target, but apparently the club were not happy with their idea of a 5 million fee in staggered amounts.
He's a winger/forward and he's 17 years old. Why do I get the feeling he's gonna be fodder?
Oh, and R80 said Allegri forced him out. This to add to Gattusso's recent statements. I'm not Allegri fan, but at this moment in time, I wish people would just STFU and try and let him get on with his job.

I agree. Come on, Milan brought him so that he can bring something new to the table. After Ancelotti, Milan lacked direction and purpose. It's only natural that when a new coach comes in he tries to do certain things which not everyone will be happy about.

Any word on what would happen to the potential Kaka deal if we got him?
And to Cassano or Robinho?

I think the Cassano situation just f'd things up. Had he been acting like Milan player right now instead of a whiny mercenary, we could have been looking at a better situation in our attack right now.
Potentially something like this:
Ibra + Robinho out
G. Rossi + Dzeko in
Attack:
Cassano, Pato, G. Rossi, Dzeko, El Shaarway
But the prospect of Tevez Pato could be a deadly one.
Tevez Pato
Kaka
Not too shabby.

Which is why we will have to change the way we play. We have to play short passes, through ball and perhaps ball over the top to capitalize on these small forwards agility, speed and acceleration.
han2503
Aug 4 2012, 10:00 AM
I really don't think that the fact that they're small matters much. How many headed goals did we score last season? Even with a giant like Zlatan upfront?
The only thing that will have to change is the long ball tactic Allegri has employed when he's completely devoid of ideas and is happy playing 3 destroyers in midfield. Ibra made such BS tactics possible, but now Allegri seriously has to step it up, our midfield needs to start working correctly to provide service to our forwards

Ah ok. That explains it. Thanks blue. It will definitely be a very different team. It will be a test for the players and coach in adaptability and resolve. Caen president Jean-Francois Fortin has confirmed Arsenal have made an official offer for Niang, but that they face competition from clubs in England and Italy.
"Arsenal made me a proposition, but other clubs are interested - two in England and one in Italy," Fortin told L'Equipe.
"There will be an issue here for a fortnight before the matter is resolved."
So Man City and Arsenal are in the race for this kid.
so i'll give you guys a detail overview of what is going on with this transfer.
-He went on trial with Arsenal a while back, things seemed set on being finalized but wenger didn't want to pay them 5m straight up. He wanted to pay a structured deal with performance based cash. Caen said no.
Then we joined in and so did city. We managed to strike a deal with Caen for around 4m, but nothing will be done until all negotations have been carried out.
So far the player wants to come here, I think galliani told him that he'll earn more playing time here than at the ladder.
So unless city comes in with 10m or arsenal outbid us, he's ours.

Adriano Galliani in the States for Kaka , Silvio Berlusconi in Russia by his friend Putin . The future of AC Milan will play on two tables from old Cold War, with the two top executives, CEO and president, ready to close two deals valued. Galliani will try to convince Florentino Perez to give back to the Brazilian. Silvio Berlusconi, however, try to find an agreement with Gazprom for the sale of shares.
Money, possibly a few, the output of the one part. And money, lots of hand this time, into the other. Taking a step back in time. Kaka and Gazprom are, so to speak, two old lovers of Milan. The first, and then surrendered acclaimed, you know it all, including the desire to bring the Rossoneri and try to relaunch it after Real crash.
Of the Russians, however, we know that a couple of years ago came an offer of 180 million euros for the purchase of 30% of the club. Offer then declined, rejected, returned to the sender, but which, today, Berlusconi would return to Milan with a broad smile and the assurance that he acted for the good of the club.
That money, needless to say, are all right, so much so that the 'openness to new investors is fresh and it came right from a number of Milan. Logically, then, that he who is moving to try to find good ones.
The only novelty in this sense, is that the new member is not the famous Emir Al Maktoum but the Russian energy giant.
Across the world, meanwhile, will make his Galliani. In strict chronological order: friendly against Real and, around Wednesday, meeting with his friend Florentino Perez, which asked for the loan of Kaka. After receiving the green light will be time to find a point of contact with the Brazilian happy to be back but obviously not happy to cut by 50% and above his salary.

The rumours are getting more depressing by the minute.
I have to say, a lot of people said that they trust Galliani to make the right moves, but atm it's looking like he has no idea on WTF he's doing.
We can't even offer around 10m for a defender when we've just sold Ibra and Thiago for 65m. We're going into mid August next week and still we have not replaced 1 single player who has left or been sold, all we've done is bulk up the team with mediocre free agents. It's just not looking good right now

The problem is, we don't have all the money available for just one move. Galliani has to balance the division so that we still have enough for a potential Kaka, Khedira, Sahin, Diarra, Dzeko or Tevez move. So we're being stingy on defenders.
Another problem is that a the present time there ain't many really talented defenders around. Rolando really isn't worth 15 from what I saw.

No he's not and I agree that it's too much
But if we want anyone half decent than around 10m has to be spent for sure. If not than we might as well wait to get that Yanga guy for free. What's the point of paying money for players who are on the Bonera level? What's the point of paying 5m for another Acerbi who is clearly average at this point.
Yes I know you can't make the call after seeing him in a couple of friendlies but he clearly has no positional sense, add to that he's painfully slow and it's a recipe for disaster
