-Van Persie's agent has approached Milan and asked us to bid for Persie. He said that VP would accept a wage of 6m euros and arsenal are looking for something around 15m.

I swear to God, if we get RvP, I will go out and buy the first Milan uniform with his name that I see, the moment they're available. I'd take Van Persie over even Dzeko and Tevez put together, as I can think of no better replacement for Ibra ( (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) ) than RvP short of Lionel Messi himself.

Considering all names, Leandro and Persie seem the best options.

What I don't get is why we are ready to give Pazzini or Matri another chance. Clearly they failed/didn't excel on the big scene and now we have to be the ones providing another chance.

The last thing we need right now is some mediocre Italian striker in Pazzini or Matri. Then we'll really be europa league material.

They are both fine. But like most strikers, can't work with an ameteur midfield.

Nah kurt, I can see why you like Matri, he's decent enough striker but not the kind to lead our attack. he's a good player to have as backup or as support to a better/world class striker, but anything more than that and he'll flop.

Signing the likes of Matri and Pazzini to replace Ibra is a real slap in the face to the fans.

Matri is the perfect fit to replace Maxi Lopez (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Lets not forget the partnership Pazzini and Fantonio had a Sampdoria it was pretty decent. I'm not usually negative but i have this little point to get off my chest.....sure Allegri didn't have much if any say in Silva and Ibra leaving but surely he has a say in replacements, and all i hear and see is mediocre players being linked. Being skint is 1 thing but c'mon surely we can do better than this.

that's better (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Matri is probably just a smoke screen to lower Damiao's price.

NEWS:

Milan is very interested in Matri, they want to land him a 1-year paid loan deal with a buy right. Juventus reportedly wants to sell Matri on a permanent move for later re-investing the money. Matri would also like to return. Juventus values Alessandro Matri in 15m.

Santos has made a new offer for Robinho, it was rejected again.

Oscar Cardozo's agent (Benfica) has offered his client to Milan. Milan rejected the offer.

Another point to think about is....if we are really serious about Matri, he is not a champion. We were promised a champion. So either A) We will buy a 'champion' midfielder or defender (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) Its a smoke screen or C) It is already known that we will be offloading Cassano or Robinho and Matri is going to fill that hole.
