Hah! Finally some realistic expectations coming out of ESPN. They've been running daily articles on their site trying to hype up the World Cup domestically, and they always are going out of their way to make the U.S. team more relevant than it really is in the competition. ffs, they listed Donovan as the 50th best player in the world so that an American made their top 50 players list.
They should make it out of the group stage, but that's all I expect. Any victorious knockout games would be way above expectations for this team:
