3-0, Denilson. Decent finish, but he's been very poor today. Eboue, Denilson and Adebayor need replacing if Arsenal want to realistically win the league.

Well, Dudu is coming back soon.

So, it's official - Tottenham sign Pavlyuchenko..

But he won't be replacing Adebayor, just partnering him. He truly isn't good enough for me.

Yep, bit of a silly signing really. Spurs need one thing - DM. They've bought all this attacking flair and done nothing. So they buy another striker.. blink.gif

Anyways, Joey Barton comes on to loud booing from the Arsenal fans, not sure why they of all teams were booing him. Then he goes in hard on Samir Nasri, which ends up being a superb tackle. laugh.gif

FT 3-0. MotM for me, Jonas Gutierrez, superb signing by Newcastle. Strong, quick, good passer, very good for for this league.

What the fu*k Kurt, Arsenal wins 3-0 playing absolutely wonderful football, and you keep moaning about Adebayor not being good enough. I don't know why you don't just admit you hate Wenger and so you can't praise his team no matter what they do. Last season, Adebayor scored over 30 goals, and you complained about him after every single game. And even after he scored some great goals like the volley against Tottenham, you refused to credit him at all.
Now, after three games, you're complaining again.
It doesn't matter what Arsenal do, when they won against WBA they were poor, when they lost against Fulham they were miserable, when they crushed Twente McClaren was an idiot and today the are in total control for 90 minutes and score three goals, and all you do is single out players you don't like.

Handball N'Zogbia, penalty Arsenal.

Robin van Persie, 1-0 Arsenal.

EDIT: 2-0, van Persie again. A few minutes after Adebayor was through 1-on-1 and put it wide. rolleyes.gif

So glad we didn't buy this piece of *****. Can't believe Galliani was actually considering this guy, especially for his over inflated price tag.

btw, anybody know what's going on with the Robinho to Chelsea deal?

Won't praise your team? I have never said you don't play good football, not once, ever.
You beat West Brom and Newcastle, two teams a title contender should be beating. Then you lost to Fulham, who a title contender shouldn't lose to. In those 3 games, you scored 4 goals.. how many does Adebayor have?

30 goals last season? I know how many he scored, but his shots/goals % was terrible, just like today he missed so many easy chances. Why would I lie to criticise Arsenal? In case you didn't know, I can't stand United, but I have no problem admitting Ronaldo is the best player in the World right now. I also said that Denilson, Eboue and Adebayor (Maybe Gallas too) weren't good enough for you - does this not suggest I'm saying Arsenal deserves to have to players? Does this not sound like I'm giving your club praise? Does this also not suggest that I rate the other players on your team? I think so. How often do I criticise Fabregas? van Persie? Toure? Clichy? Even Almunia for f*ck sake.

Oh, as for the Adebayor goal you mentioned, here's my post from last season upon hearing about it:

QUOTE (Me)
Just watching the North London derby highlights.. Robinson made horrible attempts on the first two goals.

-He tried to punch the ball away, but was beaten to it by Adebayour.
-Taking nothing away from Fabregas' strike, but he was beaten to his right, and used his left hand to try and save it.
-The 3rd was a tremendous goal, nothing could have been done about that.

To me that looks like I was saying it was quite a good goal, does it not? You be the judge.

Here's another post from me, about Arsenal:
QUOTE (Me)
I thought goals were going to be your problem this year. I didn't really rate Adebayour and Fabregas could just about do everything except score.

They've both proved me wrong and are on real form. van Persie's been a little disappointing recently though, which is a surprise.

I say things as I see them, why would I say it any other way?

@Han: It was meant to be 100% certain.. but then Real decided they didn't want him to leave. He's not been selected in the Madrid squad for their season opener though, which would mean he's on his way to England I would have thought.

Interesting.

Personally I want him to go over to Chelsea for the simple reason that I want to see what he could do in a league that is far more physical to the La Liga, Personally I don't think he'll survive a month, I don't think he would even make it in Serie A.

Personally I think Real should take that ridiculous sum Chelsea is offering and run as fast as they can before Chelsea change their mind

FT Chelsea 1-1 Spurs
-Belletti opened the scoring.
-Darren Bent equalised just before half time.
-Malouda isn't fit to clean Joe Coles boots, awful player.
-Spurs looked dead at the end of the game, they gave their all against a very poor Chelsea side and were lucky to get a point.

Not really. We were by far the better side and should have won it comfortably. I still fail to see what it is people see in Mascherano, is it because he's been hyped up to no end as a great DM? Alonso is a very poor player, he's still living in his 2005 reputation. Liverpool will get nowhere with playing these 2, they need Gerrard back ASAP.

Martin Laursen continues to improve, he kept Torres in his back pocket until he had to go off, then once he went off they had no attacking thread. As shown by their 0 shots on target all game. laugh.gif

Suppose it's a decent result to not lose to one of the big 4, but on the day were we the better side and should have won it.

Aside from that frist game Chelsea haven't really been that good.... They need a good striker up there, Anelka is clearly not that.

Liverpool have been struggling to score goals in all their games so far, even in the CL qualifiers.

So so far in England if Man U win their next game the top 4 will all be level right?

If Man U win their game in hand. United, Chelsea and Liverpool will all be on 7 points, then a few on 6 and a few on 4.

Thanks, han. smile.gif They had a decent start last season, but squandered everything up right after they beat us in the two CL legs. I was doing some spying over at Arsenal forums, and they knew this would happen. Most of them wanted the club to choose the league (preserving their lead) over winning the next few matches of Champions League and getting out.

It'll be good to see how they manage to fare this year. unsure.gif For the sake of the club, the players, the fans and of course their French coach.

Well, Man City have new owners, a group called Abu Dhabi United. Which now makes them the richest cub in the World. The group as a whole have a much money as Bill Gates or something! blink.gif

Worlds richest football teams:
1: Man City
2: QPR
3: Chelsea

Who would have thought that 12 months ago. laugh.gif

EDIT:
Real Madrid have reportedly offered £38m for Dimitar Berbatov. But amazingly, as well as Man City making an offer for Berbatov, they've also made offers for David Villa and Mario Gomes.. these guys are serious. blink.gif

It would be nice to see somebody else finish in the top 4. Though if Liverpool or United were the team to miss out, they could very well go the way of Leeds, they need the CL money to keep up their debts. But Villa were pretty much 'next in line' for the top 4. With CIty's money, no chance now. sad.gif

Believe me, it'd be great seeing Villa finish fourth. smile.gif As long as it's not Liverpool. But if what I'm hearing is true, then like you said City's got a great chance if they can build a squad. Depending on the amount of money they pour in, it could rival any of the top three too. Depending.

Strange goings on with Berbatov, after having a medical at Old Trafford he has now been spotted at Old Trafford - yet Spurs still say they haven't given him permission to do so! ohmy.gif If that is the case then Manu could face a massive fine, points deduction or both. Will sound like sour grapes.. but would you really find it enjoyable if your club spent like £100m every year on new World class players? It's like on FM when you change the editor to give your team tonnes of money, you just get bored of it and aren't interested, but if you earn it, it just feels better. It's always nice to win things, but I'm not sure I'd enjoy it if Villa just started spending £30m on a new player for every position, I would like us to earn it.

May sound like sour grapes, but that's really how I feel!
