However, I do have a hard time imagining that someone can actually love him.
To me he seems like a self-absorbed pr*ck that has fallen in love with himself.

Well I guess I do have some idea... I get the flippin idiots giving me there whole love life story just cause I'm a barman in a club and that's when they first come-in... And I'm a 19 year-old single student they do kind of run a prominence in my life!

I know most girls wouldn't turn down a night with Ronaldo. Just like guys wouldn't turn down Britney, she maybe not what she used to be but the allure of saying without sounding callous "I did her" would grab most blokes. Girls would do Ronaldo, and then probably realise he doesn't like/love them and accuse him of 'r**e' or summit for money, and to tell the world they slept with him.

I'd honestly like to see a single girl if Ronaldo came up to them in a club and say 'No way I'd much rather go home with that other average joe guy' it pretty much isn't going to happen. Now obviously I don't mean he can get everyone most are true to their wedding vowels...

Thanks. Wait till you see a couple of others one as I attach them. In fact, since there is a limit on one image file per signature and I've created five of them, I'm in the process of negotiating an under-the-table deal with Mike in this regard. ph34r.gif Fingers crossed I'll be able to attach at least three at a time. They are as good or better than this one.

I get your point. Having said that I do know of a bunch who'd certainly not. In fact, this was bought up in my friend's circle (at university etc) a couple of times, and a lot of girls answered no if they ever got a chance. graduated.gif To each his own I guess.

But what do I know, the girls CR spends time with probably aren't average Janes either. tongue.gif

I guess I'd still like to see them if he came up to them individually and asked though. It's not just what he looks like it's because he's Ronaldo! Most top-flight footballers will have a far better chance, not just Ronaldo. Anyone famous has a better chance.

As far as Ronaldo... I don't want to come off the wrong way... but even I know he has looks. But he's a self absorbed punk that reminds me of the worst of Los Angeles.

Anyways, hats off to Chelsea. Man City was taught a lesson today. Robinho started off well, but disappeared for most of the match I hear...

Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson tips Aston Villa to win the league

ASTON Villa have been sensationally tipped as Premier League title contenders this season - by Sir Alex Ferguson.

The Manchester United chief has earmarked Villa as potential “dark horses” to challenge his reigning champions for their top flight crown.
Martin O’Neill has spent around £45million of Randy Lerner’s fortune this summer to turn Villa into Champions League candidates.

Villa are cautiously optimistic of improving on last season’s sixth-placed finish and putting pressure on United, Chelsea, Liverpool.

And Fergie’s words of praise for the claret and blue revolution is evidence that O’Neill has got the big four looking over their shoulders.

“As far as the title race is concerned Aston Villa could be the dark horses,” said Ferguson, whose own title aspirations suffered an early season blow in yesterday’s 2-1 defeat Liverpool.

“Martin O’Neill’s buys this summer have been very impressive. He’s building a very solid squad.

“Martin O’Neill is doing a very impressive job and this season they could surprise everyone.”

Villa take on Tottenham at White Hart Lane tomorrow night determined to get back to winning ways after a 3-2 defeat at Stoke and 0-0 draw with Liverpool.

Carlos Cuellar could be on the bench after recovering from a calf injury, but Steve Sidwell is still sidelined with a knee problem.

Sunday Mercury

Did SAF have some sort of mental breakdown after todays defeat or something? If we win tomorrow we're right up there, but win the league.. huh.gif

It seems he's going to sell Newcastle. This club deserve 'a Abramovich'. An historic club like this one, with loads of potential... I'd really like to see going back to the top.

From what i have seen Newcastle fans are diehard, I would say they are the most loyal

I hardly have access to a cross section of the country as i am Manchester based, that said there is a lot of loyalty by the Man City fans i know (this was even pre Thaksin), they are completely rabid now tongue.gif . Through thick and thin they always went to matches even those bitterly cold Carling Cup matches (or so they said)

I dont know too much about Everton but Spurs are admired. I would maybe say that they have a little more support than Everton but they seem to be on a similar plane nontheless

This question is obviously to the British Crew in MF: kurt, Brill, I_Ross, etc.

Who has the most fans outside of the big 4? Probably Newcastle. But there's a reason why. Spurs are in London, there's alot of people there yes, but there's 7 or 8 teams in the top 2 divisions alone. Villa are in Birmingham and although we're the most supported team in the West Midlands we have 7 or 8 other Midlands clubs in the top 2 divisions. Everton and City are in the North West so share their support with each other plus the likes of United, Liverpool, Blackburn, Bolton, Wigan, etc. Newcastle, Sunderland and Middlesbrough are the only 3 teams of any note within miles up in the north east, so both Sunderland and Newcastle have alot of support to share between each other. As for loyal.. that's hard to say, I don't think there's an answer for that.

In my opinion? Newcastles reputation of great support comes from the fact they have a huge stadium, and that's about it. It seems Everton, ourselves and a few other clubs are expanding their stadium to around the 50k mark, and then Newcastle will be just another club.

Going on both past and present I'd rank the teams.. United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Villa, Everton, Spurs then there's a big gap. City are probably next followed by Blackburn and then Newcastle.

Anyways the game tonight..

FT Spurs 1-2 Villa.
Reo-Coker and Ash Young put Villa 2 up, Darren Bent equalised with a deflection late on. In truth we were the better side and if it was not for a few Gomes saves and missed chances we could have had a lot more. Spurs the only team in the league without a win and keep resting players in the league in order to use them in the UEFA Cup.. keep this up and you'll get relegated!

Can't really speak for the other teams but my brother lives just outside of Newcastle and he reckons they are the most loyal/hardcore fans around. They have something like 4 club shops(including St james Park) dotted around Newcastle, and the metro9underground railway) is painted to look like the ground and there is also a massive mural dedicated to the toon heroes(McDonald, Jackie Milburn, shearer etc). He also said everyone wears the Newcastle shirt there as well. It is their religion.

Tennie
A cookie to Villa. (Fishdoll still wants a jersey, Kurt!) They're one English club I can like. They have a sane owner, they're fiscally sound, and the pub near the stadium is supposed to be cool (Holte End Pub, I think is the name). Plus, they've got a pretty good coach, a good percentage of local guys in the squad, and I find them entertaining to watch.
