Yeah, that was a real bad miss. Still, Lehmann getting sent off that early was so stupid, he was never going to get to that ball.
I think that was the deciding factor of the match. Being a man down at the very beginning of a CL final, and not any man but the keeper himself .. that just piles up the pressure of the whole team.

FT Villa 0-0 Fulham. We just can't seem to win the games that give us a real chance of pulling away, today would have been a huge win, but it wasn't too bad. That said, we were fantastic, we battered them but just couldn't break them down. The post the cross bar, bad misses and good saves. Another day it could have easily been 4-0. Credit to Fulham though, they defended supberly at times. Gotta hope Arsenal don't beat Chelsea tomorrow!

On an added note, congrats to Brad Friedel today, he broke the record for most consecutiver Premier League appearances at 167 which is just over 4 seasons straight. Marked it with a clean sheet too. Well done Brad.

So the London derby and the Manchester derby on today.
Hopefully Man U draw and Chelsea win. I'm sorry Locke but Chelsea are the only team right now capable of putting up a fight against Man U and a win for them would be better imo. Since I don't want to see Man Yoo winning the title again this season

Yep, Man City now really close, all Richards needed to do was tap it in, but he thought he was off side so he left it, but there was a Man U player on the goal line. So close
Man City now getting more into the game and pegging Man U back

City keeper pushes up for a corner kick. Man U manage to get the ball and are on the counter, while the keeper is sprinting back to get to his goal, Rooney from nearly the half way line chips the ball towards goal. The keeper somehow manages to get there and literally pushes the ball off the line!!

Rooney is always the man. Even when he misses 3 sitters per match.
Ronaldo's situation it's difficult. He sees players like Ferdinand, Rooney, Carrick, Fletcher that can do whatever they want in the pitch [bad tackles, provoking everyone around, <...> attitude, insulting the ref 10 in 10 minutes]... and he can't do anything or he's sent off. Must be hard for a foreign player to play in UK.
City is not going anywhere with that idiot as a coach.

Well I saw him make countless getures towards the ref, particulary when he got the yellow when he was clapping at him and waving him off and no action was taken, so most Man U players get special treatment. Ronaldo usually brings things upon himself.
And I don't see any discrimination from the refs towards foreigners seeing as 3/4 of that league is made up of foreign players

Rooney was the first player to actually get sent off for sarcastically applauding the ref, did Ronaldo get sent off? It seems he gets the special treatment, he always does. Then again, when a girl plays a mans game, you'd expect him to be protected.

Best. Game. Ever.
We started off with Stevie Sidwell scoring a cracking 25 yarder after 30 seconds, quickest goal in the EPL this season. Lescott, a Villa fan, scored an equaliser before HT. Ashley Young intercepted a bad Jagielka backpass and finished off really well 10 minutes into the second half. Lescott scored in the final minute of injury time to equalise and then celebrated in an over the top fashion in front of the fans of the teams of which he supposedly supports - what a prick. With the game seemingly over, Laursen heads the ball forward, Gabby gets a touch onto Young who then plays the ball one side of Lescott and runs around the other side of him, and keeps a cool head to finish in the dying seconds.. then runs the length of the pitch to celebrate in front of us, making fun of Lescotts celebration 30 seconds earlier.

It was so fantastic.
