True that..But its on every other site..Skysports confirmed that they spoke to milan officials few minutes ago and said that its a loan deal with the option to make the deal permanent at the end of the season....
That seems acceptable... if it doesn't work out, he'll go back.

I'm sure u know the answer....It will work out and he'll be a milan player except if he's been smoking crack that'll affect his system like Mutu did..Other than i think Senderos would be alright hopefully...

Man oh man... this transfer season has been more surprises than I can handle. I was talking to a Juve fan just a while ago... and he said "at least you signed someone that has potential... we're stuck with serie-c grade Molinaro". lol.

Cool new colour theme...
Anyway.
Im quite pleased with the transfers this summer. They've strengthened every area except keeper.
Pleased with the look of the backline, although i would have prefered Senderos on a perminant transfer rarther than a loan. I can see him doing quite well, then us not buying him in a years time.

.
Midfield, as usual, looks stunning. Except now we have decent backups.
Attacking midfield we're well covered too.
Striker wise, good set of strikers. Young, old, experianced, hitting prime.
Looks good.
If Abbiati gets first choice and puts in the performances he did when he was loaned to Juve then i'll be happy. Failing that though, i havnt got alot of confidence in Kalac or Dida.

Nice healthy price tag.

Eight million. I hope he's worth this much, and if he is we make the deal permanent. Our defense was a weak spot as almost all members mentioned, so it's great to see the management working out ironing all the leaks, this late in the transfer window.

It's from another Russian club - Dynamo Moscow. Money isn't a problem over there at all ,but really great players in their prime won't go there for the obvious reasons.
8 mil isn't much, but I doubt we'll sign him permanently. He seems like a short term solution for this season.

If he performs up to expectation we'll sign him at the end of the season..and i think he will because i doubt that he'll wanna leave a team like milan...I'm sure he's seen a bigger challenge moving to milan and he would step up...

It's a big IF. What we need is a world class starter at CB position. Sanderos will never be it, he is just another decent rotation player like Kaladze, Bonera...

Aug 26 2008, 01:35 AM
Like it or not, finding a world class defender is certainly not going to be easy... so Senderos should be able to reinforce. I think he could adapt better for the Serie A...
We'll just need to back things up with the appropriate level of players. I'm sure Senderos knows the pressure is on him to prove differently.
Besides that, I haven't seen anything official on Milan's website yet...

Of course it not easy, plus we started searching for defenders pretty late into the transfer window. That's why I said that Senderos will probably be o.k for a short team (this season), and next season we'll have to buy someone much better (also taking into consideration that Paolo's retirement).

I'm with you on that one. But we've spent quite a bit on our midfield and attack... the defense will come later... perhaps in the winter transfer season. Or next summer.

I still don't know of any top class CBs who are up for sale. I think we'll just have to sit out with some B-class CBs till someone really hits the market. I mean we might be able to get Cannavaro, but next season, he could play with us one more year at the most.

Really, there don't seem to be any top CBs who are/might be available. And Pana..not a whimper from you about Toure!! Shush!!

There are some great prospects out there though... Thiago Silva is one I've talked about to a great extent. Beats me why he was benched in the Olympics in favor of Alex Silva. Thiago Silva is said to be a world class talent on the rise.. I'm not sure we will get him now though since we've used both of our non-EU options. At least not for another year.

Not sure, prospects is what we need. Ideally both our CBs must be top quality and complement each other. Like Nesta-Maldini was. A young player doesn't necessarily have to be a prospect. I don't consider Torres a prospect, though he's still young.
So yeah..I wanted a young top quality CB. Right now, I only know Chiellini.

And to think that idiot Secco wanted to sell him, till injuries forced him to think otherwise.

Well prospects are a good investment for the future... and they can create world class players. I understand what you're saying though.
I wanted Chiellini too... don't worry... I hope Secco sticks around. We'll end up with Chiellini eventually... Secco has literally messed up everything lol.

Well we just saw Kompany move to Man City, I think he's really good and would complement Nesta well, and if Man City could get him, then surely it would have been easier for us. Fact is, we weren't really interested in defenders until the situation became critical with Nesta and then Kaladze and Maldini. And we really didn't want to spend a lor of money on a defender, so we looked for quick fix solutions like Ivanovic and Senderos.
Senderos is still young and I'm hoping he will learn some things from Nesta and Maldini while here and manages to perform well so we can keep him next season and that would be a position covered for the next 7 years. I think he's got good characteristics to become a really good defender but he makes stupid mistakes that he shouldn't do. I won't judge until I see what he can do in Serie A. He still has a lot of room for improvement yes, but unlike Kaladze he's still really young and has the time. And also the motivation of getting a permanent deal will also help him to not het complaicent. Galliani did the right thing by not buying him outright, and not just because in case he's terrible we can send him packing easily

[The administrative delegate of Milan, Adriano Galliani, said the following on the way in to the Lega Calcio meeting: 'The market closes at 7pm on Monday, but we won't make any other purchases after Shevchenko and Senderos. Ancelotti should be very happy with the market, now it's up to him to not fail and to win the scudetto. To calm our fans: during the negotiations for Sheva's return, we never spoke about Kaka with Chelsea. Oddo to Lyon? We haven't talked about it with the player. For now everything's blocked for departures, the only one who will certainly go is Paloschi and Borriello is unsellable."]
