You guys that are saying that us giving Oddo to Lyon is goin to get us in their good book to get the likes of Hugo or Benzema.... laugh.gif Dream on!
I am sure it would take much more than that!
Lyon's president is money hungry!

Cool... I think we have a versatile player in Antonini.

Yeah, I'm starting to like him already. smile.gif Only bad thing he took the number 77.

Exactly. We had a sniff of a chance if Ronaldo were with us (as Benzama mentioned more than once in interviews that R99 was his idol). Now? It's stuff of dreams. dry.gif Unless we spill lots of cash on this.

but if somehow he comes pato, paloschi, benzema next 10 years or so done in attack atleast we know what to do in next FM

Selling Oddo would be insane. I still miss does versible and speedy fullbacks we had 2 years ago. But getting rid of Oddo would be totally insane.

More good news guys..Gazzetta reports that Brocchi has been sold to Lazio and Milan says NO to Oddo going to Lyon..I'm in support of all dat i just wrote...(We need that much needed depth)..We shouldn't sell Oddo..We need Oddo in every aspect..as the back up for Zambrotta...

Late reports (the Sportitalia show) indicate BAYERN have expressed interest in Oddo.

I'm not sure he will come. sad.gif A part of the reason why Pato came to us was because he wanted to play with his idol (Ronaldo). Plus Kaka too. Benzama, though the best of the bunch, and with immense potential to grow, seems like a distant possibility now.

He's my favorite French player. sad.gif And you all know how I feel about the French football team/players. Give him 3 more years, and he'll take over the reigns of French NT attack. Yes indeed, we missed a chance to sign him. Plus, he's a good lad (plus fast, strong), meaning we should have changed some $$$ here and there, and got him last year.

That would be best... we should not sell Oddo... definitely not if we don't get anything in return.

I'm glad management has gained sense to sell Brocchi.

thing is one injury and suddenyl where out of natural options for RB. thats not a position i'd like to be in, and since we've had so many injuries of late i wont be surprised to see zambro pick one up sooner rather than later.

I'm totally with you on that one. The only way I would let go of Oddo to say Bayern is if we get something in return. Sagnol maybe? Sagnol has issues with the management... however, he's pretty much on the same lines of Oddo. He has issues with form... but in my opinion is a tad bit better.

It would be like swapping two similar players... it wouldn't make much sense.

So I think Oddo should stay, unless we get Sagnol. Sagnol is particularly effective at right back.

In fact, I think if Bayern do get Oddo, Sagnol would be off loaded.
Bluesummers
liike you said giancarlo it will be a straight swap if it goes thru.

If we tossed Oddo and got Sangol it would be a genuine masterstroke by Galliani.....the only snag is that Carlo doesn't seem to aprticularly like friechies unsure.gif

I'd Honestly Prefer Huntelaar On Benzema Any Day.
Much More Experience, and Dutch can easily fit in the Serie A. While i wouldn't take the chance to try that on Benzema.
Don't Get me wrong Benzema is an absolutely amazing Player.

The transfer policy is not his choice. And now that Brocchi is on his way out the door... I don't think that's his choice either... he's liking Flamini just fine...
Tennie
Er. Are you guys promoting an Oddo-Sagnol swap aware that Sagnol has another bad injury and is due to be out for some time (months)?
LaPalma
What Tennie said. Sagnol is the most injury prone player of the Bundesliga. He barely played a match last season due to injury issues.
besides that I doubt that Bayern are willing to sell another fullback/wing back. They surprisingly offloaded Marcel Jansen yesterday. Oddo is expected to be Jansens replacement as Bayern atm only have to wing backs. And one of them is Christian Lell.....so they only have Lahm.
Fillipo Simone
Naah, Lahm will soon take the captain's armband after that *** leaves..

But Bayern selling Jansen makes me..frightened that they allready have an agreement with Oddo or us. Why would they offload Jansen that easy?
LaPalma
I have no clue why they offloaded him anyway. As I said...the only fullbacks they have are Lell and Lahm. And Lell is not someone you'd consider Bayern material normally. Jansens spell at Bayern wasn't the most spectacular so far...but he's young and very talented if you ask me.
Lahm to replace van Bommel? Better not...he's exactly the kinda captain Bayern deserves laugh.gif

Besides that....I DO think Oddo will join Bayern. They've been seeking an Italian friend for Toni for some while now. Oddo could be the one. Plus, he also has good chances to get playing time at Bayern.
LaPalma
So...it seems to be official now. The Kicker reports that Oddo will arrive in Munich today to pass his medical.
Bad move for us IMO.
Fillipo Simone
It's not bad,...it's.. puke.gif puke.gif

So it's adieu to offensive fullbacks, adieu to team depth in the defensive department! Really great!!
Now,..we have the mighty Bonera as backup. Great!

{Oh yes, I've forgot Antonini can be an RB}

That's the worst thing about this transfer. We have Zambro and Janku...both quality. But besides them we only have Maldini and Bonera...and both of them should play in the center.

selling oddo is and relying on zambro as our only natural RB is like getting ride of all our CF and relying purely on pippo with kaka,r10 slotting in when pippo is subbed....
Tennie
It's a 1 year loan-with-option, by the way.
Giancarlo
I see the bright side to everything. If anything, we can use a home grown talent from the youth squad. Maybe Sagnol wouldn't be such a good idea. I didn't realize he was injured.
Tennie
Darmian does play RB. He did so for the U19s in the recent tournament.

Then there you go. And besides that, Oddo's form has been downhill in the last year... so I'd actually be more happy with Darmian...

He's young, but if we ever need him he'll get the call-up.

Anyways check this out... it's from the ultimate rubbish source... but apparently the deal with Lazio for Brocchi has gone through.

http://www.goal.com/en-US/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=838380

A deal was quickly struck for midfielder Cristian Brocchi and the player has now moved to Lazio from AC Milan. The transfer was completed a few days before the start of the Italian league season and it seems that the player has earmarked Sunday's showdown with Cagliari as his potential debut.

It is estimated that Brocchi agreed a deal of around €1-1.2 million-a-year to join the Roman club, which is slightly less then his earnings at Milan. The hard-working Brocchi is a tough, no-nonsense midfield general in the mould of Rino Gattuso, making the determined player an invaluable buy for the Biancocelesti.

The management will be pleased to be able to rely on him for this weekend's Serie A opener at the Stadio Sant'Elia, especially considering the current injury plague tearing through the squad. Recent reports suggest that Argentinian Mauro Zarate is struggling with a knee injury and is not expected to be available for the game. Captain and Lazio talisman Tommaso Rocchi is also injured, but has promised the fans that he, “will be back against Milan.”

---

No more Brocchi... we are getting rid of the players weighing us down... while I don't think Oddo was the best idea, we can easily use Darmian if needed.
whoarethepatriots
I am all in favour of playing Darmian, but how likely is Carlo to play him? I can see him playing Favalli there before Darmian, unless Antonini is forced to play there

btw i do not trust Zambrotta one bit. to me he is in decline phsically. I dont think he has what it takes anymore. He didnt exactly set the world alight in pre season nor did he do well for the Azzurri. He needs to perform significantly better in order to justify his inflated transfer fee

I am also now annoyed by the arrival of Sheva. His entrance led to Paloschi's move, and will definitely harm playing chances for Borriello and/or Pato.

As far as that, Favalli does have his uses... he's not a bad player. I think he's decent and never really had a bad game with us. He's not world class... but a decent utility player. Antonini is left back.

I think Zambrotta was one of my favorite signings... I think he is fitting in the squad better, and recent pre-season matches have started to prove that.

Actually, 4 strikers is optimal for any team. It would be terrible to start the season with only three forwards. Paloschi needs to develop elsewhere... even without Shevchenko, Paloschi would not get all that much playing time. I think Carlo will play with two strikers now.

Yeah they have a bit to think of it.

I just want it to happen... it's important so other midfielders get a chance. No more Brocchi as a sub...

Hopefully we can get a good 1 - 1.5 million out of this deal.

BTW... ON ACMilan.com they posted all the pictures of the players... look who got on there...

He looks like a younger Jaap Stam... lol..

I'm a bit sad to see Milan and Oddo part ways, but it was the best decision for both parties. Oddo reached the top with Milan too soon (2007 CL) and perhaps that's the reason his form fell last season. a new challenge was needed and both Oddo and the management knew that. I hope a new RB is gonna be brought in though. we better not abandon the RB now that we have more or less strengthened all other areas.

Good luck to Massimo.

That is true.

But thankfully this happened before the season started and we drew or lost. It would have been a classic moment for Galliani to whip it out

Journalist: Why do you think Milan were so poor today?
Galliani: Milan cannot be poor!!! You know why? Because we are the club with the most international titles!!!!

Journalist: Do you think Milan should strengthen the defence in the winter break?
Galliani: No, Milan are the most titled club in the world, we don't need to strengthen any areas

Yea i'm happy we're tied..Galliani praises and boast about milan too much...It ain't a bad thing but it got outta hands...when we lost he always brought it up....Hopefully he not gon be talking bout it again because it gets to his head a lot
Giancarlo
Well. We strengthened before they got this title... we got tons of players so I don't think that's really fair to Galliani. I have to admit Argentine domestic football is on the decline. This has to do with the fact that they sell most of their talented players... so I doubt they'll be beating us again with titles anytime soon. They may have tied us... but look at how they played against.

Matteo Darmian (who I'm more confident about than Oddo)... and Brocchi has plenty of replacements. Look around.

I mean the guy was quite poor on the field for us. Our midfield is packed. He's considered surplus beyond what we need.

I mean even the new arrival Cardacio is a viable substitute.
