Ronaldinho Will Join Milan – Bronzetti

Milan transfer consultant and super agent Ernesto Bronzetti believes that Barcelona superstar Ronaldinho will join the Rossoneri this summer.

The Brazilian had been Milan’s primary target a couple of months ago, but the transfer then hit a snag, and it was believed that there was little chance of it being resurrected.

However this all changed when the club’s Vice President Adriano Galliani stated that plans had been made to build a Milan side with Ronaldinho in it.

Bronzetti has now claimed that he believes the transfer will go through, and says that the playmaker is desperate to see it happen.

“Milan have never given up on him and I am the main witness of that because I am in regular contact with Ronaldinho and his brother,” Bronzetti told Radio Radio TV.

“I spoke to the player last night and he told me that he only wants to play for Milan and he wanted me to transmit that to Galliani.

“My impression is that in the end he will join Carlo Ancelotti’s squad, unless some strange things happen.”

Barcelona are said to be demanding €35m, but Milan will only do business if this price falls dramatically.

QUOTE
Galliani: The problem is not with waiting, but with the person we are waiting for

Milan's vice-president and general manager talked to the Gazzetta dello Sport on Thursday.

Are you suffering from the critics that are pointing their fingers at you ?!

Galliani: "I am also a fan and feel angry when things don't go the way they should. But I don't know why there is such anger on a wide scale. Milan actually had done a lot more than any competitor, and despite the exaggerated costs Milan wont stop!"

Galliani, President Berlusconi had cut his deal with the people of Italy, and now it's time that he cuts his deal with the people of the rossoneri ?!

Galliani: "Of course, Milan will do all that is in it's power to bring in a great forward, and this is an oath I take upon myself for our fans."

Is it true that documents have arrived as of late, that involve Adebayor and Ronaldinho ?

Galliani: "Yes, that is true. These documents convey confidential information. But our position would change if the costs were too exaggerated."

Then one of them shall arrive; either Adebayor or Ronaldinho ?!

Galliani: "Exactly, and Ancelotti is in agreement of this. On Wednesday, we started to build and reassess the situation. And Carlo is ready now, he is getting Milan ready for Ronaldinho and without Adebayor."

And he backed down from his demands for a striker ?

Galliani: "In the meantime we have brought back Borriello and in all honesty we have faith in him. Without forgetting Inzaghi and Pato. If you put in Kaka' and Seedorf into the mix, our attacking capabilities would surpass that of our opponents."

But who will you give up if Ronaldinho comes ?!

Galliani: "That matter is down to Ancelotti. But from my stand point Milan plays a 4-3-3, so up front there is room for all our forwards .."

Hasn't Milan gotten bored of waiting for Ronaldinho ?!

Galliani: "Look, I have just finished reading the book 'Il giorno in più' author Fabio Folo. A true romantic and especially in his sentence: 'the problem isn't with waiting, but with the person we are waiting for'. And this phrase could have a close correlation with the situation with Ronaldinho."

Can we depend on that ?

Galliani: "The feelings are part of history and are always a part of this life. But not every love story ends with a happy ending, therefore I am taking my caution."

There were rumors that claimed that Milan had turned their back on Ronaldinho because of his personal life ?

Galliani: "I reject that notion."

From your point of view, do people like Ronaldinho ?

Galliani: "We have always thought about that. Maybe this is not a statistic, but my feeling is that people will accept him in a very good way."

How much are you planning on spending ?

Galliani: "Of course not Euro 35MM that Barca are demanding. The price has to be lower, closer to a realistic figure."

How do you assess the doubts over your last transactions ?

Galliani: "I can't go into details. But Milan have spent a lot, and in my opinion Milan have invested in the right options up till now."

But everyone is worried about the 21 points between Milan and inter ..

Galliani: "And I remain content! We have won on the international level and our fans have to be happy, because in the past 22 years under the reign of Berlusconi has brought us 26 titles.

These international claims that the club is raising up, don't you think that it is the main reason behind the club's Serie A troubles recently ?

Galliani: "Worng. The priority remains with the trophies that you cant win in every year. Therefore, the Scudetto will be our priority, while the UEFA cup will be the second choice and the alternative."

The new comers will be of the players that don't carry an EU citizenship ?

Galliani: "After seeing off Serginho and Oliveira, we have room for forign players. We will do something: maybe with the teenagers. In Brazil, Serginho will help Leonardo on finding new talents."

Are you planning on strengthening other departments in the team ?!

Galliani: "Many requests have come in for Paloschi, but he wont move unless a great striker arrives. We have also recieved several offers for Simic, Grimi, Abati and Digao."

So you have a chance until August to complete the big deal ?

Galliani: "We hope that we can conclude that deal in particular before August."

Brozetti: "Last week Milan receive a 100MM offer for Kaka', but Milan refused it!"

Milan's consultant and the agent of FIFA in completing the deals between Italy and Spain, Ernesto Bronzetti talked about Milan's situation in the summer mercato, and in particular about Ronaldinho.

Brozetti says about Ronaldinho: "Milan never gave up on Ronaldinho, we have an agreement with the player and that is the important thing, but the other issues we can deal with that later .. Yesterday Ronaldinho spoke to Mr. Adriano Galliani and emphasized on his desire to move to Italy."

And of Ronaldinho's attitude outside of the playing field, "There are a lot of made up stories surrounding him, and I think that such issues influence the players price a lot. Why doesn't Guardiola want him ?  I think this is something that the club have forced him into."

Bronzetto continued: "Ronaldinho will serve Milan a lot in several issues; personal, technical and global. Ancelotti will depend on him, even if his main target was Adebayor. In all honesty Ancelotti spoke to Mr. Galliani on the imminent arrival of Ronaldinho and the formation that he will play to accommodate him. In all honesty, Ancelotti was very content with Dinho, because he would fit in very well with his best formation."

He ended his talk on Ronaldinho by saying: "I wont be surprised of this deal being finalized, he could come with a goalkeeper as well." Then he talked about Kaka', "Just last week, Milan received a 100MM Euro offer, but was declined of course."

Wow how things have taken a complete U-Turn, This morning it was Adebayor is 80% a Milan player now, it's Ronaldinho almost done and Carlo already preparing for him.

If this happens I will be more then happy since it means we won't spending any ammount on Adebayor

Ade will leave Arsenal this summer ... He is expected to be at the EURO final alongside Wenger. They will discuss his future ...

Adebayor has made it clear that he wants either; Milan or Barca.
armiss
So Ade will say to Arsenal that he wants Milan and this is what Galliani want .... and Galliani say now that they have not enough money for Ade and they force to choose and they choose Ronaldinho ......... So everybody will repeat in Media that if they go for Ade negoiations they will go only with a lower price .... fianlly in talking table Arsenal will force to content Ade desire !!! this is a common tactic & all of these are my guess !

I wonder if the keeper Bronzetti was referring to is Akinfeev. Carlo was at a couple of the Russia games. We all assumed he was looking at Arshavin, but maybe he was looking at the keeper instead.

Seedorf is quoted as saying that Adebayor will arrive.

There's a nice interview with Pippo Inzaghi in Sportweek. Highlights include him saying that he can't wait to get back to training and that Milan will go for the scudetto as the fans want and deserve it.

The agent of Santos keeper Felipe confirmed that there have been talks with Milan so yesterday's article might not have been entirely speculative.

Also of note: Juve are apparently negotiating to buy Stankovic from the merda, but the Juve fans are launching a protest (including a manifesto) against his possible purchase.

Seedorf threatens Premier switch
Saturday 28 June, 2008

Clarence Seedorf wants Milan to sign Emmanuel Adebayor and hints Ronaldinho’s arrival could push him to the Premier League.

“We need a centre-forward,” he commented. “I have spoken personally with Adebayor and he revealed to me his desire to play for Milan.”

The 32-year-old Dutchman has a vested interest in this deal, as if the Rossoneri fail to prise Adebayor away from Arsenal, they will go for Ronaldinho instead.

In today’s Gazzetta dello Sport, Coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that move would force Seedorf into a wide midfield role he has often complained about.

It is entirely possible Ronaldinho’s arrival would be a step too far for the former Ajax, Sampdoria, Real Madrid and Inter star.

"I'd always love to come and play in the Premier League, but things just don't happen like that,” Seedorf told BBC Radio.

"I've never touched the Premier League yet, but let's say you never know. Opportunities come and go, when I was close to coming to England with Manchester United or Arsenal when I was at Sampdoria I went to Real Madrid.

"You cannot be everywhere, I've been playing in Spain and Italy. For now I'm in Italy and I'm always following with a very special eye the movements in the Premier League because at the moment it's an example for everybody."

Seedorf is at a crossroads for his career and already caused shockwaves when he pulled out of Holland’s Euro 2008 squad following disagreements with tactician Marco Van Basten.

It is certainly not a gamble to suggest the Dutchman could demand a transfer rather than play out of position to accommodate Ronaldinho.
m1ke
Can't blame him for wanting a move if 'dinho arrives - he's certainly the most likely to be pushed aside if it happens (even though he played well last season).

Massive loss if he goes though - we need to keep hold of him as not having a decent squad depth was the cause of our problems last season.

I think the title is a bit mis-leading, but one thing about Seedorf that I don't like is he doesn't accept being on the bench or even get subtituted for that matter. He needs to stay so that Milan can fight on all-fronts.

I don't think so. I still remember him saying when he arrived he couldn't wear 'his' #10 because it was Rui's, so he had to wait for it a couple of seasons and that now as long as he is a Milan player, the #10 is his...

I can't see him on the bench if R10 comes. I suppose he'll play next to Rino/Ambro/Flamini and Pirlo like he did when Rui was still at Milan. We played some of our best football with that formation, and with Seedorf there instead of a second defensive mid we will have more creativity rather then the stale performances we have been seeing these last 2 seasons

Everyone has to make sacrifices & he understands that. Totally agree he's much better in that role than as a trequartista, dunno why he wants to play there so badly. Can't see him going.

There's this good thing about Ronaldinho's arrival that both him and Seedorf will be motivated to prove themselves and be a starter, so there's a good possibility that their performances will improve a lot compared to last season. but if someone like Drogba or Adebayor comes, our midfield's situation will remain unchanged. a slow Turtle, an exhausted Pirlo and Kaka, who has been suffering from the opponents' kicks for so long. Ronaldinho will give Carlo a lot of choices, both in midfield and attack.

I like van der Vaart too. But...there's something with him that does not make him a great player. Up till now he never ever played one great season. Last season was the nearest he ever came, but close to the final 3 months he totally dissapeared. In big matches..he just choked. Just like at this Euro. Holland played good, but Van der Vaart stayed out of the limelight.

Anyway, Milan could change that. He should be are target, but,...

I've found also some reports that we are interested in AZ Alkmaars Ryan Donk (22 year old defender), but that's 99% just agent talk, that's why I didn't mention it even.

Anyway, giving up Seedorf for Ronaldinho is rediculous. That means we gain nothing. We should keep him. I'm not sure Clarence is first-team material for sure any more, but with some competition he'll ensure his position.
