As is reporting that Valencia are in difficult financial situation and they've put Joaquin, Villa, Silva, Miguel and Zigic on the market ohmy.gif

It would be sweet if we could snatch the two Davids. Wait, we already have a David in the squad ...

Rumours in Germany are claiming that Milan wants to sign Bayerns Willy Sagnol and already offered him a contract. A good RB IMO. At least for anotehr 2 years or so.
Tennie
Sagnol? Interesting - if his knee holds up. is it true that he really really upset Ottmar, La Palma?

Seriously ohmy.gif
How old is he again? 31-32 definitely the right thing for us innocent.gif
Sagnol (and his great crosses) on the right and Zambro on the left would really be something smile.gif

Yup. The "General" didn't include him in Bayerns squad for Thursdays semi against St. Petersburg. Sagnol moaned because he had to play in midfield against Stuttgart.

A couple of websites are speculating that we will bid for Canini from Cagliari. Supposedly we were going to get the 22 year old before, but he suffered a serious injury. In exchange we will give them Matri plus a few other guys.

Report also says, he will come on loan iniitally, and if he can prove his fitness, he will be signed permenantly

Agent Laughs Off Adebayor Exit Talk
Agent Stephane Courbis has rejected reports suggesting that he has held talks with Milan on behalf of his client, Arsenal hitman Emmanuel Adebayor...

The Italian press reported this week that Emmanuel Adebayor’s agent Stephane Courbis has already met with AC Milan bigwigs to discuss a potential summer move for the Arsenal striker.

Courbis, though, has dismissed such claims and insisted that Milan are too busy considering a swoop for Chelsea fringe-man Andriy Shevchenko.

“The reports about Milan are [nonsense],” Courbis angrily told Setanta.

“I was not in Milan, and what makes me laugh is that a friend that read the story in the Italian press called me to complain I did not call him to have a drink there!

“Milan’s president’s priority is Shevchenko and they are not allowed to have two extra-community players so the reports make me laugh.”

Nevertheless, Courbis admitted that, although Manu is ‘happy’ at the Emirates, he will hold talks with Gunners chiefs come the end of the season.

“Obviously, it is logical that Emmanuel is demanded,” he continued. “I have to meet his club when the season ends to speak about his future, but we have not received concrete offers.

“Today he is happy at Arsenal; he showed it on Monday (scoring a hat-trick against Derby).

“But you know football, everything goes very quickly. We will not talk before the season ends as Arsenal are focused on trying to finish second.”

I really hope Adebayor does not come to Milan! STAY AWAY!! Also, if he left Arsenal it would be perfect!

Renato Dreams Of São Paulo And Milan

Ponte Preta attacking midfielder Renato Morais is hoping to earn a move to Brazil's current top club and then on to Italy after impressing in the São Paulo state championship for the second division club.

Renato has been one of the central figures in Ponte Preta's run to the final of the Paulista, in which they will try to overturn their 1-0 deficit from the first leg away to Palmeiras on Sunday, and he hopes that his performances may be enough earn him a move to reigning Brazilian champions São Paulo.

"São Paulo are a great club, they have a great structure and know how to work with players properly. I would be pleased to to play for the great capital team. If a deal materialises I would be very happy. I want clubs to see me play and witness what I can do with the ball," he told Globo Esporte.

"For the time being I am following São Paulo's progress in the Libertadores... I continue to dream of playing for São Paulo."

If he can secure a move to Tricolor Paulista, Renato then hopes to follow the same path taken by current Brazil international Kaká, who joined AC Milan from São Paulo in 2003.

"I watch the Champions League games and I like to imagine myself playing in such important games. I would love to play for Milan," he concluded.

Interesting news. Papa Diouf, the president of Olympique Marseille, has apparently stated that Samir Nasri wants to leave (he 'wants to try new experiences' is how it was quoted in Italian) and that his price is 20 million euros.

Tuttomercatoweb is also reporting that Milan are looking at Sporting keeper Rui Patricio.
TriniKing_CE
There are repots coming out of Spain saying that Barca could possibly be ready to let Eto'o go for the right price should one come in (and only for the right price), its yet to be confirmed, but i guess we can know for sure in the coming days wink.gif
morgoth
Nasri would be the perfect alternative for Pirlo, he's young, talented and a very good playmaker. The question is, will he come to Milan to warm the bench?

Real, merda and Barça are also interested, and I think (not sure though) he likes Barça very much ... dry.gif

He's 30 but it hasn't affected his game. did you see what he did to Liverpool? amazing...
Tennie
I saw what Drogba did in the ACN...which was not so amazing.

If there were a 25 year old MVB clone, I'd be all for him being bought no matter the cost. Thing is, I don't see any striker who's been that consistently dominant over the past two-three years.

So really, I don't have a big preference in the striker department, though if they're going to veer toward older players, Luca Toni would get my vote because he's Italian.
morgoth
How on earth can you say Eto'o isn't good or he's not what he used to be? The guy scored 14 goals in 15 appearances in the league and 1 goal in 7 CL games!!!

Huntelaar is a good choice, and he's only 24. I think he scored 33 goals in the league this season, and the Dutch league only has 34 games. blink.gif

what did he do to manu? exactly....
Panama Devil
I've been saying the same thing over and over. Forget about Drogba, Eto, Berbatov, Sheva, etc., etc.

The best striker right now that has the youth and characteristics to play along Pato is Huntelaar. He has owned the Dutch soccer for the last 3 years. He's amazing and has the characteristics we need to own the rest of the world on the years to come.

Check him at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huntelaar

Besides, we've done very well with Dutch players.

Besides him the best striker ANY team can get is Benzema .... this lad is a star and is going to be a world SUPERstar. He is pure magic on the field ... EXCELLENT with BOTH legs.

We should be shooting firing all our bullets to get one of these guys.

We should be firing all cylinders to get both of these guys. They are the future of football. Both are technically strong, skilled players, and aren't as much injury prone as some of the other strikers. Even if we get one of them, we should be safe for the next 5 years at least. Guys like Drogba, Eto, and Sheva, is kind of taking a step backwards. It's not like they're getting any younger.

Put them both (Benzama and Huntelaar) along with Kaka, Pato and Pirlo, and I'd be surprised if we ever lose a match. laugh.gif

nah, with kaladze in behind you wouldn't be surprised wink.gif

Drogba is a very HOT choice , against liverpool he was excellent in goals , in a team that he would have enough motivation he would do so much , even in 30 or higher . actually i dont like a young partner for Pato , i dont like absolutely youngs in front row , i want Pato partner a very good but experienced striker like Ronaldo , Sheva , Ronaldinho and Drogba ! if we want to choose between young people i like to wait and find another Pato , there is no need to be in hurry for a young good striker !

Maybe Huntelaar has the characteristics, but Milna need someone who has experience not another teenager, the best choice would be Drogba or Toni but Eto'o could also be an alternative if we keep Gila, I'm quite sure they'll make a great partnership smile.gif
Zed.D
Huntelaar is not a "teenager"...
Tennie
Huntelaar wouldn't be a bad choice. However, he gave an interview not long ago stating that it was a dream for him to have MVB as a coach next year, as MVB is his idol, etc etc etc. So I expect him to stay at Ajax at least one more year. He's..24 or so, isn't he?

Someone before said Huntelaar is the perfect foil for Pato

I beg to differ

A perfect foil to Pato is a tall, aierally strong forward like Toni or Borriello, a target man who can lay off Pato and his runs forward. Ancelotti said something similar a while back and i fully agree with him.

Pato is (relatively) small quick and agile, thefore someone who is tall, powerful and strong will best suit his characteristics. It has been shown time and time again these players play brilliantly together

Theoretically that forward lineup would be amazing, but in practice it wouldnt work. Similar players cannot coexist, Inzaghi and Gila, Sheva and Pato (hypothetically)

Gomes and Pato would be sublime as would Borriello/Toni/Drogba

EDIT: I do not rate Tevez at all, good but we dont need him. Inter would love him though

Great satisfaction even by the managing director Adriano Galliani who leave go to a small ad:

"Now we have to think in the next two matches. Everything will depend on us. If she were to have reached an important goal. I think that if only during the week dell'Arsenal were better Inzaghi and Kakà perhaps today we would be here to prepare yet another final Champions League. We want calm, I always say, there is too much tension around this team, absolutely groundless. AC Milan is always great, the fans need not fear. Flamini? Arrives in Milan this evening, if exceed medical visits tomorrow will be a Milan player. The players want to come to Milan, on this there is no doubt, I never heard anyone deny against a possible qualification Champions failure "

this is on acmilan.com but in silvio comments there is nthing abt R10

I would love to have Toni on the squad, but he turns 31 later this month and picking him up therefore probably wouldn't work as a long-term solution.

Tuttomercato is a rumor-monger disguised as a "news" site. If we're going to pick up a new goalie to replace Dida and Kalac (you really want Kalac starting a whole season next year? I don't think so), we're not going after some unknown like the guy mentioned above.
Tennie
I disagree with your assessment of tuttomercato, MizNelson. It collects news from other sources, yes. So the smart reader will chase down the original sources and have a clue as to whether they're reliable (Gazzetta) or not (Tuttosport). There's nothing wrong with that; makes it easier than having 9 windows open at once.

Patricio isn't an unknown if you follow the Portuguese league, btw. He's a young keeper, is halfway decent, but I wouldn't necessarily rate him above Kalac. Then again, I still like the Germans (Neuer and Adler) and Akinfeev if we're going for a young keeper.
