i know this is rather weak of me..but believe it but after just looking at kurtsimonw's sig long enough..i all of sudden am on the mourinho to milan boat! you guys should try it, maybe it'll work on you like it did me..but to those who argue jose to milan would mean we would play ugly football, with the players on the roster that we have, do you really think we would play ugly?

my theory is that the reason chelsea plays so ugly is because all their players are big, physical, and most of the time their touches are on the heavy side, partly due to their physicality and also due to the fact they play in the EPL (Lampard, Drogba, Essien, Mikel, Ballack)..therefore anything chelsea does always looks so forced and choppy...this is also why Sheva never settled..the big physical, fast game they play never complemented shevas slower, patient game that's built on anticipation and change of pace...Theres no such thing as patience in EPL. But what Mourinho did was device a gameplan that incorporated the Chelsea personell's best attributes..and it worked.

with milan, our players play different, and i see no reason why mourinho wouldn't change his tactics to suit ours.

plus, looking at that guys face on our bench, for some puzzling reason, would give me confidence. his demeanor commands respect and exudes confidence.

granted i may be getting a little carried away here, sitting at the computer bored at work..but Forza Jose! Forza kurt's sig!

Hernanes again :

Sao Paulo star Hernanes welcomes AC Milan interest
tribalfooball.com - March 26, 2008

AC Milan are eyeing Sao Paulo midfielder Hernanes.
The 22 year-old has been likened to Milan star Kaka and is a favourite of Rossoneri whizkid Alexandre Pato.

Aware of Milan's interest, Hernanes said: "It would be an honour to play in the same midfield as Andrea Pirlo and Clarence Seedorf."

Milan needs to invest heavily on the market for having a squad that coudl win both CL and Scudetto like Berlusconi said.

Firstly,Lloris or Frey could be great addition in goalie, considering Dida would leave.

Secondly,it seems Zambrotta %99 Milan player, but i thnk he is not enough for solving the side backs problem in Milan also considering his age, injuries he had in the last 2 years,Vargas could be good addition,Solid defensively and good on attack or Pasqual or even Grosso would an upgrade over jankulvoski and Favalli considering he really improved his form in Lyon in the last weeks.

Thirdly,Zapata or Mexes could be considered for possible CB,as Kaladze is enough and Nesta aged,in the past Nesta could be cover for Kaladze's and he would minimize his mistakes but he is 31 years old now and his form this year really has been a disaster.

Then,Gattuso's form also worries me this year,Flamini is really good player and would be valid cover for Gattuso,we also linked with Hernanes and Cigarini as vice Pirlos, also Nasri or Ben Harfa could be good addition consideirng Gourcuff would move elsewhere though Berlu really has been an admirer of him.

After all,Paloschi,Pato and Kaka would form a good trio,if Milan really thinking about to sign Sheva or Gomes, its much wiser signing nobody,Borriello could be good addition to attack but he wont be more than a bench player.Benzema would be my dream signing,Adebayor,Drogba(we should provide enough service for him),Berbatov,Jo and even Luis Fabiano would appeal to me more than Gomes or Sheva.

above all,i really hope to see Berlu invest heavily on the market for winning everything,we need a quality bench as well for winning the Serie A.

Thanks guys.

By the way,According to goal.com,our next striker would be Van Nistellrooy.

but i dont believe in these rumours as Galliani gave us some signals about the new striker during this year, first he declared we wouldnt go for Kanoute just because of he is over 30 years old, also he declared that we lacked a biefhoff typee striker.

Milan To Sign Van Nistelrooy – Report

AC Milan are set to sign Real Madrid’s Ruud Van Nistelrooy this summer, according to confidential sources in Italy.

The Rossoneri have identified a top-class centre forward as their number one transfer priority.

A penalty-box target man is the exact type of player they are looking for, and this has seen them linked to the likes of Didier Drogba, Emmanuel Adebayor, Dimitar Berbatov and Mario Gomez.

However it now seems that prolific Dutch marksman Van Nistelrooy is on his way to San Siro.

The 31-year-old is seen as the ideal partner for teenage sensation Alexandre Pato, and there has already been contact last week between Real Madrid and Milan.

The Rossoneri have offered Madrid €7m, as well as a three-year contract to Van Nistelrooy.

Madrid are prepared to let the former Manchester United man go, because they already have a ready-made replacement in Chelsea’s Didier Drogba.

Van Nistelrooy was close to signing for Milan in 2006 before he eventually signed for the Spanish capital club.

Gee, who's next in line?
Dunno why, but somehow I belive this transfer could actually work, or at least this rumour isn't just regular bull.

And, well...

The U21 game between Italy and Azerbaijan was on Italian television Tuesday. Interesting game -- Rossi scored both of Italy's goals but the man of the match was Empoli's Giovinco. Great little trequartista who kept running all game long. He's been given lots of good press as a result. He's on loan from the Zebras, though, so I don't imagine there's much chance of anyone else grabbing him. Unfortunate, that.
Tennie
Hm. Interesting new rumor. Milan may be preparing a bid for Sevilla's Daniel Alves, according to (the not necessarily reliable) Corriere dello Sport. The pricetag is 30 million, however, so it may be more a rumor than anything realistic.

Wow, the rumors are flying thick and fast today.

The new one is the possibility of a swap between Milan and Roma. Gila to Roma in exchange for Aquilani.

we linked with Daniel Alves today as he is the crack for our defence(Corriere)

Ruud Gullit,in today's Gazzetta interview he said Milan is old and needs to chance.

Also added, our elimination from CL didnt surprise him as we never played good football this season.

i also think like Gullit,Kaka,Nesta,Oddo,Gattuso,Seedorf all performed below of their standarts, all of them did nothing this year,Only Pirlo performed up to his standarts lately he joined them as well.

The problem for us has been left side back,as Marek is a player who plays in 40-45 metres and doesnt provides enough service from left wing,Oddo comes and goes in all around 90 metres but his crosses are bad, adding his poor self too,our wings are dead.We have just Kaka,Pirlo and Seedorf, considering Kaka is a player who is less decisive when he doesnt find enough space,Also some coachs like Wenger puts pressure on Pirlo and Puts a marker to Kaka,as we only have Seedorf who doesnt have continuity on the game.if we sign just Zambrotta and a target man like Gomez or Amauri or even Drogba we are dead.above all,i believe a striker like Benzema would appeal to us the most as he can create his chances alone.

i want to say 1-2 addition is not enough for us,what happens to us if Nesta,Gattuso,Kaka and Oddo repats this season's perfonmances next year too.

Reports: Drogba admits Inter move Thursday 27 March, 2008

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are reports in Italy that Chelsea star Didier Drogba has told teammates that he will be joining Inter in the summer.

The Ivorian marksman has made it clear that he wants to leave Stamford Bridge this summer and is looking for another major European club.

Drogba has been increasingly unsettled at Chelsea since the departure of manager Jose Mourinho last year and both Milan sides have reportedly been lining up bids.

Now it seems that the Italian champions are in pole position for the 30-year-old’s signature after the Corriere dello Sport reported that he had told his Chelsea colleagues that he would be wearing the Nerazzurri jersey next term.

The fee required for such a high-profile transfer is estimated to be around £18m, but it is understood that there have been no talks between the two sides as yet.

There are also rumours that Drogba has been lured by the prospect of Mourinho replacing Roberto Mancini at the helm.

Mancio’s position has been jeopardised by his attempt to resign after Inter’s elimination from the Champions League at the hands of Liverpool.

Rafa Benitez and Cesare Prandelli have also been touted as possible successors to Mancini in the Beneamata hot seat.

Dani Alves is not coming. No way we're spending big for a (another) full-back and specially after Zambrotta deal is almost confirmed.

A shame because I do like that player a lot. He's probably going Chelsea, Man Utd or Barcelona.

Aquilani-Gilardino would be amazing but dunno if Roma would accept.

Plus, none of Aquilani or Alves would come if we don't get the 4th place.

Excellent deal. No need to add Borriello, just the extra cash. Keep in mind that Roma actually do need a new striker, after all the only decent one they have is Vucinic. And I think Spalletti is enough wise to realize that Gilardino could actually work in his system and tactic.

Hrm. This may be the source of the rumor - or something adding more fuel to it.

Gilardino's agent was interviewed on 'Radio Kiss Kiss' (I know, silly name. But they do a lot of football coverage). He stated that while Gilardino has a contract with Milan now and wants to do everything to help Milan win, etc etc etc, any player would be honored to play with Roma's Francesco Totti.

I'd be thrilled with a Totti-Aquilani swap.

Er. Sorry! Gila-Aquilani swap. My bad. I blame the medicine (never get sick on holiday; it makes the flight home pure misery) for my sinus infection/bronchitis.

I get the feeling that Aquilani wants more money than Roma is able to pay him -- and with the rumors of Roma's serious financial trouble -- they may just decide to cash in. After the mess with Chivu, I suspect they'd be more inclined to do business with Milan than with the Merda.

Aquilani would be a very good add if it happens.

I think Aquilani for Gila would be a great swap, and would work out positivly for everyone. Milan need a quality sub for Pirlo, Roma need a CF, Gila needs more playing time and to start regularly to be effectice and to get called up for the Azzurri and Aquilani needs a mentor like Pirlo to futher develop as a player to be the backbone of a team and carry on Pirlos legacy for Milan and Italy. biggrin.gif As for Roma not being able to pay his wages, i know they are in debt but i doubt that they would take Gila if that was the case...surely Gila makes more...i think its more of a matter of sacrifise.
paloschi43
indeed,Aquilani is what our midfields needs,he can play 2 parts of the game, have continuity, quick, skilled, can defend, can shoot from distance,he can be vice Pirlo when needed.

Gattuso/Flamini Pirlo Aquilani

Berlusca rates him high as well,in Roma's formation mostly Spaletti rotates him and Pizzaro of LDM(LCM),it would be wiser for them selling Aquilani for a striker,as they already have Pizzaro,Brighi for that position, instead with Gila or Borriello or both, they would dont need to play Totti as striker.

if i were Sensi,i would swap him with Gila plus cash, with cash i would sign Cigarini and everyone is happy.
