From Germany, Kicker: Milan have contacted Bayern Munich to inquire about their 20-year-old midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg.

YES PLEASE !

The name of Axel Witsel isn't completely ruled out for Milan. [Gazzetta]
Fillipo Simone
As far as I've seen, Højbjerg is nothing special. Certainly wouldn't help us right now.
X-Offender
Never heard of him.

Milan and Sampdoria have re-started negotiations for Soriano, Mihajlovic's number one objective.

A Confederacy of Fools. sleep.gif
Fillipo Simone
Han was right when he hinted we'd be back with Soriano. Once again good names pop-up, but we end up with the disappointingly average solution.

Moutinho would/should be our top priority. He's the only player bar Witsel who's never failed at doing a solid or good job. Lamela and Illaramendi are bigger risks, but maybe they would pay off as well. But we absolutely need a player without issues, a solid organizer and midfield dynamo. That's why Moutinho and Witsel should be the top priorities.

But what the heck,...

Where's that walk in the room walk out Twitter meme when you need it.

Thought you had your doubts about Witsel and questioned nearly everything about his abilities.

AC Milan are interested in Barcelona midfielder Alex Song (27). The Italian club would prefer a loan. [Corriere dello
Sport]

Milan offered Matri to Inter for Ranocchia in a swap deal. Inter turned the offer down. (GdS)
Danny
We dropped interest in Moutinho because he's injured and not available till October.

You'd think we would KNOW this before making inquires!

Oh, and yay on Song!

Lol Song? A replica although slightly worse version of De Jong when we need creators?

And this Silvio stopping funds rumour going around is absolutely hilarious to even think about. S Galliani blew through 85m and the midfield problems we starts with are still not fixed! Brilliant!!

Also, completely looking over Moutinho is stupid just because he's out for a month, we wouldn't have had any issues signing Ibra and he's injured as well. Our management simply don't follow the same logic when it comes to strikers and players in other positions. Moutinho being injured could have been an advantage for us in negotiations, not to mention the solid rapport we have with Monaco considering the solid we did them with SES. The level of stupidity Galliani displays each summer continue to reach new epic levels

That's what happens when you have unjust job security. smile.gif Had it been anyone else, he'd have been shown the door a long time ago, considering the mess Galliani puts us in. And not just that, he digs us into deeper holes, instead of lifting the team up with good signings. Holes that take years to climb out of.
X-Offender
Can you guys believe that we've spent 85M and we're still sh*t?
X-Offender
Paletta will join Atalanta on loan. MC confirms.
d'Arc.LP
Ive not watched Milan for some seasons. I think that will continue till some deep changes happen in management. With 85m spent we should have had a very competitive squad for 3d place at least if not for Scudetto.

Romanogli and Bacca are good deals, maybe we should have gotten them for less money, but after all its fine. But we really screwed things up making panic buys like Bertolacci.

Im very confused, how is it so that we cant sell players ?! And when we do, they leave for a very cheap amount of money (Rami, El Shaarawy...).

It is clear that only one player will play as trequartista and we have 3-4 players for that position, starting with Menez, Honda, Suso, Cerci and sometimes Bonaventura. Why not sell Menez, Cerci and Honda for 25-30m and buy proper trequartista with that money ?

Same goes for the midfield and CBs.

Its very clear that the club has no clue on how to manage this team.

Indeed I can, sir. dry.gif Any hope I had with this new influx of cash was dented when I knew Galliani would stay, and then our choice of coach. One might be forgiven for thinking that after the disaster ride of last year, the higher management would have learned a lesson or two.

But no, wild goose chases in the market, signing league mediocrity, and a team that knows not what to do.
X-Offender
I thought that with money finally available Galliani could make it work and get us some quality players, but it's very clear the guy has completely lost it and has no idea what he's doing anymore. So much money wasted.
X-Offender
Latest name being mentioned: Pajtim Kasami.

Fillipo Simone
Well, we should wait and see. But it looks now like we've broken off all negotiations for Soriano, which is good. Also, Witsel declined a contract extension, so that might mean something.

han2503
Laudisa saying we could sign Kucka (!!) for 3m

Aparently the money has really run out if we can't even get Soriano now.

The level of stupidity is off the charts here. So Galliani blew through all that money and failed to really strengthen the area that needed the most reinforcements and we end up getting a mediocre Serie A player to shut people up. Unbelievable!!

And wtf are we even bothering with getting him, might as well let Nocerino stay!
han2503
It's practically done.

All the usuals (Pedulla, Di Marzio, Laudisa) reporting it. 3m + 1m bonuses

han2503
So from Witsel, to Moutinho, to Illaramendi, to Soriano and we end up with f@cking Kucka!!!

Nearly 100m to spend and he signs F@CKING Kucka!!!
han2503
Also, going for Kucka is a perfect representation of how much Galliani lacks any sort of vision or ideas. He simply always goes back to the same formula.

It's like we don't see anything that exists outside of the league (unless they're strikers that is, because then we're all for it rolleyes.gif)
han2503
Juraj Kucka will sign a 3-year contract with Milan, according to Sky. #BenvenutoKucka #KuckaRossonero

And to go after him after that loss against Fiorentina... Just inconceivable!

Does he actually watch the game or is he high as a kite while in the stands?

Official: Paletta off to Atalanta on a loan deal (probably for a year, don't know if they have option to buy)

I think it's failure to get anyone decent that's leading to last-minute desperation. There's only 4 days to go of the Mercato.

Midfield and defence are a f*cking disaster. If this is our lot till January we can wave goodbye to UEL and you can quote me on that.

Anything about whether they have an option to buy him?

Personally think we should have kept him and sold Alex or Zapata (Alex is on a big wage, Zapata would have gotten us a decent amount of cash in)

Wow, and you're talking about EL here, not even CL. Tbh I was hopeful that Galliani would make one final swoop that would surprise all of us. Now I think he's a senile old idiot who should have been let go years ago.

For all those who have been his apologists for years now, saying if he had money he'd be killing it in the transfer market. Well here's to you guys!

If we make into a EL spot, I'll be surprised now!
X-Offender
No, no, no, no, no no, NO!!!

F*ck this baldhead motherf*cker and his f*cking idiotic deals!

My hopes were a decent mercato would solidify us in top 5, and I stuck by that. UEL was my aim. Doesn't matter how much you spend, it's about who you get in, and while X reckoned 100M should have guaranteed top 3 I was never as optimistic, and was happy with 5th.

Now I'd be happy with not being relegated. This, Bacca aside, has been an absolute disaster of a Mercato. F*ck, we brought bloody Balo back as well!

We stumble from one sh*t stain to another.

I believe Paletta is what is called a 'dry loan'. AKA no option to buy.

And Paletta is the worst of those 3 by a mile - he won't be missed. Alex may have his injury issues but he's still our best defender IMO, while Zaps has plenty to offer too.

Who gives a cr*p how much they'd bring in, we'd just spunk it on a crash test dummy from Taiwan.
X-Offender
WTF is Kucka going to solve??? I just cannot comprehend in the slightest how Galliani's head works. How does he make these deals? Does he think it through at all? My god, what a shambles of a mercato this turned out to be. 85M spent and we're as sh*t as we were last season. And people thought the only reason we had been so bad was because we didn't spend...

I am honestly hoping in an absolute debacle, relegation even so this scum of a management gets the f*ck out, with Galliani in primis.
han2503

Don't push the knife any deeper, bro. sad.gif
han2503
Watch Juve sign him

Suddenly a player we are desperate for is deemed too expensive.

But throwing away 20m on Roma's bench player was perfectly okay

Or throwing 8m at Shakhtar for a player we could have gotten for free in January was also more than okay.

If it weren't actually happening right now I wouldn't believe this would have happened in May. Even in all my negativity towards Galliani, I never would have imagined he'd pull off something like this.
X-Offender
We needed at least one world class player in midfield, a top creator that could finally provide that quality we've been lacking since Pirlo's and Seedorf's departures. Who do we get? Bertolacci and Kucka.

I'm still incredulous...
X-Offender
Oh, and Jose Mauri too... rolleyes.gif
