FT 3-3

Stupid Roma, how could they throw away a two-goal lead against such a terrible inter? I'm sure they wish guts could be bought...

Balotelli is so disgusting. I hate those talented young players that think the world is at their feet!

Inter dropped points today, we dropped even more. That is why we will never win

Everytime they drop point so do we. Its infuriating

Buffon is cool and

Never is a relative term.

But that penalty was practically nonexistant.

QUOTE (Channel 4)
Crespo snaps at Mourinho
Sunday 1 March, 2009
Hernan Crespo went from the stands to goal hero, but was in no mood for celebrating after the 3-3 draw with Roma.

“It is no coincidence that I am ready at all times,” snapped the striker, who shed tears during the post-match interview.

“I work hard every day to ensure I am here when I am needed. This club knows it can count on me at any moment and I will give 100 per cent in every minute I get to play.”

The Argentine was originally left off the bench for this game, but when Zlatan Ibrahimovic sustained a thigh twinge earlier today, he was drafted in at the last minute.

Crespo then came on as a substitute with Inter trailing 3-2 and nodded in the decisive goal within 90 seconds of stepping on to the field.

“What was in my celebration? A bit of everything. There was joy, anger, pride, frustration, everything I have been feeling this season.”

His rapport with Jose Mourinho has been very shaky, as he has been pushed out of the side and is not even on the Champions League list.

“I really can't explain it. I know these things happen and I am a professional, so all I can do is keep working hard.

“I want to dedicate this goal to my little girls, who were watching my goal on television,” said Crespo as he fought back tears.

Very interesting article. I think we tend to forget that players are human just like us, and not robots. (It also explains why Ibra didn't play today.)
Bluesummers
I guess even the special 1 has an occasional problem. I feel bad for crespo. Maybe we can offer him a shot here instead of sheva?

Mascara scored a beauty in yesterday's Sicilian derby!
Tennie
Hah. That really was a great one. I feel sorry for Palermo in a way as it was a home game for them and, well, they just got pasted.

I like Crespo, I really do, but the last thing this club needs is another 33 year old striker.

At this point, it's pretty much irrelevant.

None of them (unless we keep Pippo).

I'd prefer Crespo judging to the recent (-past 2 years) form but the unrational part in me still says Shevchenko has it in him and somehow will surprise us when at least expected.
dst
I wish Sheva would just go. If he still can play football he should go play somewhere else!

Roma coach Luciano Spaletti got a touchline ban for naughty words said after cugini-Roma.

Oddly, the cugini coach can say what he wants and nothing at all happens to him. (not to mention that no penalties have been called against his team so far this season).

Gosh, it couldn't be that the cugini are being FAVORED, could it? [/sarcasm]
Zed.D
Wasn't Mourinho once banned for the exact same reason?
Tennie
In Serie a? Not that I recall.
Bluesummers
It was in coppa. Mourinho will talk his talk there is no point banning him. He would be banned every match. Besides hes star and italian football would be highly criticized if they started banning him for his antics since in england it was loved.
Tennie
Italy isn't England, and I think it's fair to say that while the cugini coach may be popular in England, he is...not in Italy. The impression I get is that they (the press and public) don't like the guy (not counting fans of the cugini). If the cugini coach breaks the rules, he should be treated the same way everyone else is.

Was that the first or second leg? Or is it just a one-leg game?
Tennie
First leg, Kurt. Return leg is at the Olimpico di Torino. Both sides fielded slightly weakened teames (no Zarate for Lazio, no Buffon or Del Piero for the Gobbi).
MizNelson
Manninger could probably be #1 in most any other Serie A team with the kind of year he's had.
Fillipo Simone
Naturally. He's a great keeper. Know him from Salzburg-days. Arsenal never should have let him go.

Samp 1 - 0 cugini in the first leg of the second Coppa semi.
Tennie
+1 cookie to Pazzini also. Samp 2 - 0 cugini. biggrin.gif

EDIT:
Fishdoll's going to run out of cookies. Goal Pazzini AGAIN. Samp 3 - 0 cugini. cool.gif
Zed.D
WOW devil.gif

Pazzini-Cassano is turning into one of the best partnerships in recent years.
Tennie
It reminds me in a very vague way of Batistuta-Rui Costa, who were one of my favorite strike partnerships, for all that they played for Fiorentina.
Fillipo Simone
That was a era of great partnership's...just think back: Bierhoff-Weah, Pippo-Del Piero,..
Tennie
So I finally watched the Coppa game. Samp were magnificent, especially considering they played a big chunk of the second half on 10 guys. They pwned the cugini, who were themselves rather lucky to end the game with 11 players. There was a late yellow given to Zanetti - it was a studs up tackle from behind that could very, very easily have been a red.
