It's not exactly Serie A related, but...
The Serie B Salernitana-Frosinone game has been postponed because an unexploded bomb dating from World War II was found in Salerno. 5000 people had to be evacuated.

It's been known to happen in other places. They found some old WWII munitions in what is now one of the very poshest neighborhoods of Washington DC a couple of years ago -- in the 40s, it was part of an army base.

They find these munitions and bombs throughout Europe... there was a case in France from... not WWII... but WWI!

Nothing new, I've read about hundreds of such incidents related to World War II.

Some even got 'discovered' when people were digging the stadiums to lay a new turf. You know what they say, it's all fun and games until the bomb explodes right after they find it. Which I hope never happens!

Dejan Stankovic pulled something (leg muscle of some sort) and will be out for a month.
---
I know I slag off Fox Soccer Channel's news show...lots. Today I'd like to say something nice about them.
Yesterday during the recap of the WC qualifiers, the newsreader TOTALLY mispronounced Legrottaglie's name, in an even worse fashion than some of them are capable of. So I sent off an email explaining how the name is prounounced.
Much to my surprise, a couple of hours later, I got an email thanking me for the explanation.
+1 cookie to Fox Soccer Report.

I just saw that, he fouled Henry, but as Henry was going past him I think his studs got caught in the ground and his leg bent awkwardly. Not very nice.

the result? Napoli can beat
any team at San Paolo, so...

That one's going to be tense, zd, because of the forced closure of the curva at the San Paolo. I hope it is played without incident.

Napoli fans are the most passionate fans I have ever seen in Italy and probably the whole Europe.

Palermo - Roma is about to begin.
Roma are without Totti and also without Mexes and Vucinic. Panucci will play in the center of defense (probably a plus for Roma) and Julio Baptista will play as the target man for Roma. The Roma kid, Okaka, is playing too. Be interesting to see how he does.
