DE ASSIS Y EL MILÁN NEGOCIARON EN SAO PAULO



Roberto de Assis llegará en los próximos días a Barcelona. ¿Vendrá para anunciar la marcha de su hermano al Milán? La semana pasada habló con gente del club lombardo en Sao Paulo. Sigue el culebrón.

Mientras Ronaldinho se esfuerza en tratar de convencer al barcelonismo de que seguirá vistiendo la camiseta azulgrana la próxima temporada, el hermano y agente del crack, Roberto de Assis, va moviendo ficha por otros lares. Sin ir más lejos, la semana pasada el representante del brasileño se reunió en un conocido restaurante de Sao Paulo con dos emisarios del Milán, que viajaron hacia la ciudad brasileña para seguir negociando y tratar de cerrar un acuerdo. ¿Lo hicieron? Esa es la pregunta del millón de dólares. No se sabe si el acuerdo es total, a la espera, claro está, de que el Milán negocie con el Barça, pero lo que sí puede garantizar este periódico es que De Assis rubricó varios documentos con el membrete del club lombardo.

Además, Txiki Begiristain, secretario técnico, y Ferran Soriano, vicepresidente del Barça, llegaron el pasado viernes procedentes de la misma ciudad. ¿Casualidades? ¿Están al corriente de todo? A todo esto se le puede sumar el comentario privado que hizo Silvio Berlusconi la semana pasada a un grupo de políticos a los que afirmó: "Tengo 100 millones de euros para fichar a Ronaldinho". ¿Les va cuadrando la historia?

Ronaldinho tiene un aspecto mucho más fino y estilizado. No tiene nada que ver al Ronaldinho de hace unos meses. Se ha puesto las pilas y el programa específico ya da resultados. Pese a que su hermano sigue hablando con el Milán, ayer, en un acto público (presentación de Free Kick Masters, un concurso de lanzamientos de falta que se hará en Houston el próximo 22 de diciembre), el crack aseguró que "todo indica que seguiré en el Barcelona la próxima temporada. Quiero ir al torneo y dejar muy bien al club". Ronaldinho insiste en que seguirá en el Barça, pero su hermano sigue negociando con el Milán.

‘Dinho agent in Milan talks

Ronaldinho’s brother and agent Roberto Assis has met with Milan representatives in Brazil, according to reports in Spain.

The Barcelona star has long since been on the Rossoneri’s wish list, as they have repeatedly stated that if Ronaldinho leaves Barca, it will be to join Milan.

The Brazilian’s contract with the Blaugrana expires in 2010 and all conversations to extend the deal have failed so far, suggesting that a summer move could be on the cards.

Spanish newspaper AS reported on Friday that Assis met two Milan representatives in Sao Paulo last week to discuss Ronaldinho’s future.

In addition, Barca officials Txiki Beguiristain and Ferran Soriano were also sighted in the South American city, fuelling speculation that all the parties involved might be close to reaching an agreement.

Assis is now expected to return to Spain in the next few days, when he is scheduled to hold crucial meetings with the Blaugrana management.

Milan President Silvio Berlusconi had recently claimed that he was ready to spend over £70m to bring the ‘Dinho to the San Siro, reiterating that his club was in pole position to sign the player.

However, the Selecao star cooled all transfer talks on Thursday, declaring that he did not believe he would move in the summer.

Zidane cost Madrid near £50m

Zidane is better than Ronaldinho, better than he ever will be and better than he could even dream about being.

£70m is outrageous, I wouldn't sign him for more than Real got Zidane. (Just one penny more to break the record.)

Zidane was in 2001 if I'm not mistaken. That means... 6 years ago. The market is not the same.

Nowadays Zidane would be £80 or so.

I still wouldn't spend that much, I'd rather spend £70m on about 5 or 6 very good players. Not just one player, especially as he has been very poor for his standards this season.

Problem is: Berlusconi won't spend that money in 5-6 great/top players. I'm sure of it. Only if he radically changes his ideas which I seriously doubt.

I don't doubt this at all, Ronaldinho has the ability to win games on his own.

I just don't like the idea of spending so much money on a player, he will always be a disappointment.

No-one can live up to such a price-tag.

That way, what's the point making threads about upcoming games, making predictions and talking about how we'd like Milan to play since neither the outcome of the game or the line-up depends on us!?

Ronaldinho Gaucho, el mejor futbolista del mundo en 2004 y 2005, declaró que su permanencia en Barcelona está íntimamente ligada a su felicidad, y dijo estar dispuesto a cumplir su contrato en el Barcelona, que vence en 2010, pero admitió que "todo puede ocurrir" en el futuro.

NUNCA SE SABE. El astro brasileño se muestra sincero al decir que no puede prometer que no abandonará el Barça este verano. 

"Hoy estoy bien aquí, pero en el futuro todo puede ocurrir. Tengo un contrato hasta 2010 y voy caminando hacia allá. Mi negocio es jugar fútbol. Mientras esté feliz aquí, sigo. Pero del futuro nadie tiene cómo decir algo", expresó.

Con estos argumentos el astro de 27 años encaró la pregunta de la revista brasileña "Placar" sobre el interés del Milán italiano en ficharle.

También descartó que el estilo del fútbol español le venga mejor que el italiano. "No veo un fútbol más difícil. Después de la adaptación, se puede jugar en cualquier lugar del mundo", apuntó en la entrevista central de la última edición de la revista deportiva.

Sobre la avalancha de críticas que ha escuchado en España, fundamentalmente después de su gris actuación en el Mundial de Alemania, Ronaldo de Assis Moreira dijo que las escucha todas y le motivan "para continuar siempre jugando en alto nivel".

Negó que el Barcelona haya alcanzado algún límite. "Aún tenemos ganas de vencer", enfatizó.

Para explicar las razones de su fácil adaptación a España, Ronaldinho enumeró la Liga, que en su opinión tiene una técnica muy parecida a la de Brasil, el clima de la Ciudad Condal, la presencia de muchos brasileños y su experiencia previa en el fútbol francés, donde maduró "como hombre y jugador".

Sobre la selección brasileña, destacó la renovación de jugadores y la motivación que impera en el nuevo grupo, garantizó que ser convocado siempre será un motivo de alegría para él, a pesar de haber tenido que pasar por el banco, y negó que sea problemática su relación con Dunga.

"Sé que hablan mucho sobre nosotros, pero tenemos una relación muy buena, muy profesional", puntualizó.

R10 has been pretty unlucky this season, mainly due to his none-stop football for a long, long time. He's barely had a break due to last years succesful season, elongated thanks to European success, the World Cup after the season finished. He didn't have much of a break from football and the next Spanish season had started so he has had almost 24 months of none-stop plying, with hardly a break.. I don't think he will go to the Copa America this year, I really hope not if we sign him.

Rijkaard releases Ronaldinho 



Ronaldinho is closer than ever to a Milan move after Barcelona boss Frank Rijkaard asked the club to “make other choices.”

The former European and World Player of the Year was the subject of a bitter fan protest this week after Barca’s shock exit from the Copa del Rey, losing 4-0 to Getafe.


The supporters urged him to “go to Milan” and it seems that Coach Rijkaard – a Rossoneri legend himself – agrees.


“How many years can a team sustain itself at the top level? Three or four, then it is necessary to change, both within the squad and in its management,” he told ‘Catalunya Radio.’


“This group has played very well, but it is only normal that there have to be other projects on the horizon.”


It is the clearest indication yet that the Nou Camp club are due a clear-out in the summer and Ronaldinho is the prime candidate to move on.


There have been many reported locker-room rows at Barcelona this season, in particular between Ronaldinho and Samuel Eto’o.


Agent Roberto de Assis is in Spain at the moment and it’s claimed his next visit to Milan – where he also represents Ricardo Oliveira – could officially open the negotiations for a transfer.


Adriano Galliani is set to meet with Barcelona directors for the G-14 summit on May 22 and it’s believed he could then formalise an offer of £47m.


The money would prove very handy indeed for the Spaniards to finance a complete renovation of their squad.

Ronaldinho has announced that he will not leave Barcelona in the summer, dismissing the rumours linking him with a move to Milan.

The Brazilian is contracted to the Blaugrana until 2010, but the last few months have seen the Rossoneri repeatedly state that they were “in pole position should he leave.”

Furthermore, all negotiations to extend his deal with the Nou Camp outfit have so far failed, fuelling speculation that the player might be set for Serie A.

“There is no chance that I will leave Barcelona,” Ronaldinho told the Press on Thursday.

“I have a contract here and I am only focused on my club,” added the former Golden Ball winner, whose side leads La Liga alongside Real Madrid with four matches to go.

“I want to do my best here next year and am trying to prepare for next season as well as I can,” explained ‘Dinho, who has withdrawn from Brazil’s Copa America squad.

The Brazilian international was recently booed by part of the Barca supporters, who do not appreciate the constant transfer rumours, blaming his brother and agent Roberto Assis’ frequent trips to Milan.

“My brother is in Italy often because he represents many other players apart from me. He doesn’t go to Milan to speak about my position,” concluded Ronaldinho.

The player’s statement could open the door for Andriy Shevchenko’s return to the San Siro, after Adriano Galliani declared last week that the Rossoneri were willing to hold a non-EU spot for the Ukrainian.

p.s. Even if he doesn't come *dst getting excited now* .. There already is plans for an excellent transfer campaign thi summer. But Ronaldinho still remains a firm favorite of Berlusconi and everything can happen.

Ronaldo didn't want R10 at Milan. He knows that getting another striker like Eto'o (or Shevchenko for this matter), could complement him with Kaka in support.

I think he'll come. In 1... 2, or 3-4 years, but he'll come.

MILAN – Praise is arriving from across the world for Milan European Champions. Like from Ronaldinho for example, who had this to say to Studio Sport: ‘Congratulations to Milan, they did something heroic and glorious in the Champions League. I have Barcelona in my head now, then we’ll see what happens at the end of the season. I am proud that Silvio Berlusconi admires me.’

He might be coming after all!
