SSN had an interview with Birmingham's new majority shareholder this morning. He believes he can turn them into the best club in the World, that's one way to get on the wrong side of your fans, they'll kill him when they're back in The Championship. rolleyes.gif

Anybody got a vid of Ronaldo's headbutt?

There was nothing in it, it was no where near as bad as Sheva's against Inter a few years back in the CL so that says a lot!

It was Steve Bennett though the guy who sent off Tim Cahill for taking off his shirt, oh and does anyone remember like everyone in the FA Cup final getting booked rolleyes.gif

The most interesting one is their manager.
Again he's spent huge amounts of cash on new players, and the result is 3 points out of 9 possible...

Sh!t happens. Onighted have spend 103M/euros this Summer and are having a horrible start in the EPL as well.

For tomorrow, 3 big matches:

City - United: Without Rooney and Ronaldo, I dunno what I'll expect from United but they need to win. City in the other hand are playing good and play at home. 0-0

Blackburn - Arsenal: Rovers away is always difficult. I'd say 1-1.

Liverpool - Chelsea: The big one. I dunno... anything can happen. But playing the 1st official match of the season in Anfield, with the Kop, I'd go for a Reds win. 1-0.

Sure .. But this is just the start of the season ... All teh teams have difficulty in the first couple of weeks, till they get the balance of things. United tied and Chelsea barely won their last game .. Does that mean Liverpool are better rolleyes.gif

In any case .. I like how the Spurs have been playing lately in the EPL .. But have know worries I'll be siding with Wenger's side in the derby wink.gif ... (In fact I'll be siding with Arsenal against Villa tongue.gif )

Arsenal to win, only just though, 2-1.

That's only half-time. Nani is the most impressive player on the pitch. But Sir Alex really messed up this time. He reinforced an already very strong attack, but the defense is still shaky. And playing with Tevez as lone striker is not a good idea at all. Manchester need to play with two strikers IMO.

And I would never trust Evra as a Left Back. He is a zero defensively.
Rossoneri7
This is the second game I have seen for City this season ... I think Eriksson will make a HUGE impact on the EPL. He has a good team .. And Schmeichel has really impressed me, I hope I don't jinx him by praising him, also I hope he is half as good as his dad king.gif

He is indeed very impressive. Has he really benched Isaksson? ohmy.gif Or is he injured or something?

But the most impressive player has been Nedum Onuoha (Or is it Micah Richards? unsure.gif ) so far. What a great defender!

Isaksson has a 6 week injury, but I thought Schmeichel was a little shaky on exits. He needs more confidence.

Richards is a future starter for England. Sven did a right thing putting him in the middle.

Liverpool: Reina, Finnan, Agger, Riise, Gerrard, Torres, Alonso, Pennant, Arbeloa, Kuyt, Carragher.

Subs: Itandje, Hyypia, Crouch, Babel, Mascherano.

Chelsea: Cech, Wright-Phillips, Ben-Haim, Terry, Ashley Cole, Kalou, Lampard, Essien, Malouda, Obi, Drogba.

Subs: Cudicini, Makelele, Joe Cole, Pizarro, Alex.

Referee: Robert Styles (Hampshire)

Man, the pub was a depressing place this morning. All those sad, sad United fans were practically crying into their beer.

I thought it was a very fine display by City and was particularly impressed with their defense and keeper. Schmeichel v.2 really has potential.

Torres is fine, the goal was really good, great ball from Gerrard, Torres making a similar cutting into the box movement with the ball as Henry did then easily got pass Ben Haim and somehow squeezed the ball in off the post...

This is why you and I were so wanting him in Milan rolleyes.gif

Er. Didn't the ref give Essien a second yellow there? Or is he just generally losing control of the match? Quite a few questionable calls and the crowding in of players who argue to him isn't helping.

Dude, that was a free-kick! The player was hacking at him a couple of times (Petrov I Believe)

Still Chelsea have ruined all the good referees single handedly we have to get used to the idiots like Steve Bennett and Rob Styles.
